About: I have taken care of several animals over the years, but have never been able to gain proper professional experience. However, since I have practice looking after a range of animals (horses, chickens, dogs, cats, fish), I would like to take the opportunity to further develop my knowledge. I am a university student living in the city centre, with a high availability to work during term time, on both weekdays and on weekends. Unfortunately I currently live in a student accommodation which does not allow pets, however in the summer I will be moving into my own house in which pets are allowed. For the time being I plan to keep pets entertained either in their own household or spending longer hours outside.

About: I have hands-on experience with dog sitting, including caring for my own dog, which has given me a strong understanding of daily routines, behaviour, and overall pet wellbeing. I’ve also successfully looked after neighbours’ pets, building trust with both owners and their dogs. I’m particularly confident with puppies and their needs, but I’m equally comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, ensuring they feel safe, well cared for, and happy in my care. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I work from home during the week, allowing me to give dogs consistent attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. I’m able to incorporate walks, feeding, playtime, and regular check-ins easily alongside my schedule. I don’t work weekends, which means I’m fully available for extended care, boarding, or last-minute needs. Overall, I have a very flexible routine and am generally available, making it easy for me to accommodate different pet care requirements. I plan to provide a safe, fun, and structured environment for your dog while they’re in my care. I have a range of toys to keep them mentally stimulated and entertained, as well as crates available if they’re used to having their own space to relax. There’s also a park nearby where I’ll take them for regular walks, exercise, and playtime. I have a dog of my own too, so your dog will have friendly company and social interaction, helping them feel comfortable and engaged throughout their stay.

About: I am patient with dogs, but I will stop them from doing the wrong thing in time. I will use food to train dogs, such as sitting, shaking hands, lying down, etc. I am currently studying, and usually I have a lot of free time on Saturdays and Sundays, but I also have different periods of free time on Mondays and Fridays. My home is a two-room apartment, which is very large. And the apartment I live in is a pet-friendly apartment. Many residents here have their own pets. I believe your pet will have a good time in my home.

About: Used to have an Australian Shepherd of my own so am well versed in dog needs for active breeds, as well as calmer ones. Having worked with a dog trainer for approx a year, I’m comfortable handling reactive dogs too. I’ve been looking after friend’s and neighbour’s dogs and cats for a couple of years now, as I love pets and miss having one of my own. I’m an active person no matter the weather and love to have a 4 legged companion join me as I explore the city. Equally enjoy looking after cats, so if you need someone to pop in to feed and play with them for a bit, I’d be very happy to do so. I love taking photos, so expect lots of photo updates of your furry baby while you’re away! I work from home most of the week, so I can easily go for walks before 9am, during lunch time and after 5-6pm. I’m available for onboarding from Thursdays 6pm all through the weekend if I’m in town. Dogs are allowed on the sofa and can sleep in the bed with me if that’s more comfortable for them. I do not have a crate, so if you prefer your furry baby to use one, please make sure you’re able to provide it.

About: I have worked within a canine nutritionalist and behaviourist establishment for a year before it shuts down, moving to an alpaca farm. Here I take care for the owners dogs, cats and Alpacas, managing medications, behavioural issues and diets aswell as training young puppies and baby alpacas. I'm currently in university so am free any day of the week excluding Tuesdays and Fridays. I prefer to work with a couple days prior knowledge of bookings but I can work last minute walks if this planning isn't possible I have worked in a canine behaviourist establishment in which we held monthly organised dog walks, many times I was in charge of leading and planning this event. I am familiar with many different training methods and am flexible to using each one due to the needs of both the dog and owner I am working with. I have a working cocker spaniel which I trained myself to a gun dog standard from a puppy, I also own 2 cats (15 and 4) who all get along very well with one another aswell as with the dog. I prefer to use training methods of positive reinforcement and relationship building however if needed I can adapt to different training methods (no physical reprocussions) depending on a pets needs and preferences. Additionally we also added another cocker spaniel puppy to out house who is currently in training with me. Meaning I am familiar with different training and desensitisation techniques for younger dogs aswell as advocating for older animal happiness and health on my walks

Olga went above and beyond looking after my two cats! She was always punctual, very tidy, and sent detailed daily reports including many beautiful photos and videos. She is polite, responds very quickly and was happy to help with anything, including small house chores such as taking the bins out. The cats loved her and responded to her very well. I am very impressed by her services and competence and will definitely be using her as a cat sitter in the future. It has genuinely been a pleasure!

About: I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats of every kind since I was 13. I have 10 years experience playing with these pets, keeping them entertained and engaged. Family and friends have relied on me to feed and bathe their pets. I often take care of my parents’ cat when they are on holiday, as well as my friends’ 2 brand new lab puppies! I’m currently a music student at uni and teach part time, so I have all evenings and weekends free to walk your doggies and keep them healthy and well. I am looking for dogs and cats in the Edgbaston/Harborne area. I am also willing to drive up to 5 miles for repeat bookings. I am very much a floor carer, meaning I am engaged with the dogs and play with them as much as they need. I don’t believe in harsh words spoken towards dogs, so love and attention is the name of the game.

About: My professional experience has been gained through Rover! My dogs name is Sissy and she is a German shepherd X Collie mix. I have always had a passion for dogs, when walking in the street and I see other dog owners I knew it was my aspiration to become a pet sitter, it's not about the money for me, it's about providing a great experience for dog owners to be able to find someone reliable and trustworthy when they are in need. I give my dog her flea and worming treatment when it's needed and I also de-shed her as our poor carpet looks quite drastic sometimes! I feed her, ensure she has a full bowl of water and I walk her when we can due to her dog aggression, to cope with this I even take her to a private doggy play park! I've cared for my aunties and uncles frenchies before and I've also had a couple of drop in visits and House sittings! It fits into my daily routine because I do not work yet so I feel like I have a lot of time for any dog big or small! My dog is my number one priority and I wish to give my services to other dogs. Following on from university, my aspiration is to be a dog handler for the police so the more experience for me the better! I can help with training assistance if needed, I can feed your dogs, play fetch/chase and I often play hide and seek in my own house with my dog and I normally do every 30 minutes toilet break. Another pet owners home I treat the dog how I would treat mine, ours is a rescue so even though we have had her for a year we still need to be weary and very careful! I do not play rough with any dog and I respect their needs, this is because every dog is different and I believe inclusivity is key even with dogs.

I’m comfortable giving them lots of love, keeping their space clean, and understanding their unique little personalities. I’m always willing to learn more about different types of pets and their specific care needs. exploring my next steps in the animal care field. I’ve always had a deep love for animals, and I’m now looking to build more hands on experience while figuring out where I want to go long-term, I’m currently available full time and pretty flexible so whether it’s short notice, overnight stays, or longer term house sits, I’ve got the time and commitment to make sure your pets and home are well looked after. About: I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. My family home has never been without one. I have 2 dogs currently a 13yrs bichon frise cross and a 2yr old golden doodle cross living at my parents. They come and stay with me when my parents need dog sitting. I have looked after friends dogs of all different breeds and sizes from dachshunds to cane corso. So no matter the age or size, we would get on just fine. I’ve had cats since I was 12yrs old. My first cat was a 14yr old rescue that required extra attention with medication etc. At my parents I Currently have a cat called Nelly and her son Minford. He was 1 of the 4 kitten she had that we kept. Having a pregnant cat that gave birth in your care is an amazing experience in itself so I’m very familiar with looking after and meeting the needs of cats and kittens of all ages. I’m currently working self employed at the moment on call waiting for jobs. I can be out of the house for 1-2hrs at a time during the day or some days not at all. I live in an apartment block but have an outdoor courtyard and grass park 2 minutes walk away. They would have access to any many toilet breaks as they need and we can take a walk to the park.

About: With every dog I care for, I genuinely try to spend a lot of time with it whether it be playing or sitting and relaxing, rather than just letting it roam around by itself. I am an extremely active person as I was a 4 year athlete at the University of Virginia in the States but do also love my relaxation to chill and get comfortable when needed, meaning I am very capable of matching the highs and lows of the dogs energy. When in high school I cared for our neighbors’ dog very frequently for a couple years and cared for other dogs for different families here and there. I have received nothing but positive feedback and tried to continue my efforts in college but time management with school and a sport was very difficult. I know how important a pet can be to someone as I had lost my puppy in 2014 in a bad accident, so I try my best to treat every dog as if it was my own. I hope I get the chance to care for your dog! Have a nice day! I am currently working part time so I sill have plenty of time to meet the needs of the pup and also work around a good schedule for yourself I can easily crate your dog if needed and will always be nearby it so they don’t do anything or go anywhere that they are not supposed to. I will heavily monitor them

About: I always had dogs since I was a kid and always played with my little ball of joys. Always gave me a lot of joy seeing dogs running around and playing with each other. Since I moved to the UK, my boyfriend and I also have a cute small yorkiepoo that loves to play with other dogs and have our friend’s pets coming over. I’m currently at home and my boyfriend also works remotely so your pups will always have somebody to play and go to parks. I usually go with my pup and friends every two or three days to parks nearby. My apartment has rooms that in case our pups are not well together, I can keep them away. We also have a public fenced garden, that allows the dogs to run around without a leash and play around.

Liliia was brilliant. She came round before I left to ensure Ernie was comfortable with her. He can be very shy but after a few meetings and some Dreamies he trusted her completely. He was very happy when I returned having been very well looked after with food, water and treats. Liliia has a natural love and affinity with animals and her caring nature came through in every interaction with Ernie. Thank you Liliia, we hope to see you again soon!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
