“Lyndsay and Niall were absolutely wonderful. This was the first time my dog Bella had stayed with someone I didn't know, so initially I was quite anxious on my part. But after meeting them both, I was then more than happy for Bella to be looked after there. They are both very lovely and reasurring people. As the holiday went on I received regular updates on how Bella was doing, and received lots of photos of her. All my worries were lifted, clearly she was having just as much of a good time as me. Almost like her own little holiday. I honestly can't thank Lyndsay and Niall enough for how amazingly they looked after my fur child. I will definitely be booking with them whenever I go away again. I really couldn't recommend them enough!”

“Absolutely lovely lady, I would definitely recommend my dog was well looked after and very happy. My dog had lots of play time and got on well with Charlotte's dog, again thank you so much I will definitely be back xxx”

“Absolutley fantastic service from Lilliana. I couldnt fault the care provided to our frenchie. We were given updates daily including videos and pictures, which provided us with reassurance that percy was being looked after perfectly. I would highly recommend Lilliana and will use her service for dog boarding in the future. Thank you so much Lilliana 💕🐶🐾”

“Paul took such good care of our boy Eddie. He came home happy, healthy and looking well rested. His dog, Scotty is such a lovely, calm presence, fully balances Eddie out, who's always been a bit more on the intense side. We received plenty of updates so we could relax whilst away. Thank you Paul and Scotty taking such good care of Eddie x Until next time!”

“Laura was perfect for our dog pickles. We arranged a little meetup beforehand to talk about everything. We immediately trusted Laura. She listened to our care instructions and we didn’t worry about Pickles once. Pickles seemed super happy from start to finish. We got plenty of updates and photographs. Will definitely be coming to Laura again!”

“Oksana did a lovely job taking care of Holly for me. I could tell from her photo updates Holly was looking very happy and relaxed. Oksana was great in communications and even told me not to worry and to drive safe when I was 35 mins late picking Holly up (due to being stuck behind an accident in traffic). I really appreciate your help - thank you!”

“Anthony was excellent with our dog Mars and was really flexible and communicative with us which we really appreciated. Mars is deaf and has some minor mobility issues and Anthony took the time to work with Mars and his needs. He kept us up to date with regular pictures and videos which we really enjoyed. We would definitely have Mars stay with Anthony again, we feel certain that he was well taken care of and enjoyed his time in their care.”

“Cooper loved his week with Summer and was sad to leave! We're grateful that Summer waa able to welcome Cooper in to her home and look after him so well. He's settled right back in at home which reassured us he's had a lovely time. We'd definitely ask Summer to have him again - thank you!”

“Just got back from a wonderful vacation, and before leaving Raqz for the first time with strangers we were apprehensive about putting him in kennels, so was recommended to use the rover app to find a sitter by a friend & luckily found Gemma and her family, after a few messages and one meeting it gave us the confidence to leave Raqz in their care. We were given photo & written updates on the various activities that he experienced during his stay which settled our concerns. Gemmas children also gave Raqz lots of attention which he loves and helped him settle into his new routine much more easily. We were asked plenty of questions around Raqz daily regimes so he could be kept in a familiar routine. All in all on collecting him he seems to have had a great holiday away from his regular family in exchange for a new family. Thoroughly recommend using Gemma and her whole family they make it a team event.”

“Celine had a great stay at Ioana, they had a lot of fun and Ioana offered Celine a lot of love and affection. We’ve had loads of pictures and videos and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you do much, Ioana! We will come back in the future ❤️❤️❤️”

“Yule was an exceptional pet sitter. She was updating me everyday with photos and videos. My dog had an excellent time with her and he was safe. She is reliable and i definitely gonna prefer her again!”

About: Together with my partner Josh, we have experience totaling over 15 years. Most recently with our beautiful rescue dorkie Nissa, who sadly passed this year at age 13. Nissa's journey was a long one full of love, cuddles, international travel, separation anxiety, and complex treatment for Cushing's syndrome, heartworm, and other medical issues. We had so many great dog sitters over the years and we want to pay it forward with competitive rates and top quality care. Additionally, we have 5+ years experience with large family dogs, including Old English Sheepdogs and rescue greyhounds. We have a car and easy access to parks, including large parks for dogs who need longer walks. Your dog will be absolute pampered and spoiled rotten with us! I work from home Monday to Friday, and my job is very flexible so I am able to accommodate walks and handovers feasibly. Josh is home on evenings and weekends too so they will have plenty of love and attention. We have a secure, fenced garden with plenty of grass for potty time. In our local area, there are a range of parks and walks for dogs of all energy levels too. We have plenty of beds and soft places for your dog to rest, puzzles, toys and more.
“Greta and her family were absolutely AMAZING with our border collie Monty! He was so happy and settled with them for the 10 days whilst we were away! This is the first time that we were unable to leave Monty with a family member due to everyone attending a wedding abroad in America, so we were nervous to do so. But the process of getting to know Greta and her family in the lead up to leaving Monty was such a pleasure! They took careful time to learn so much about Monty, he was so loved whilst with them, we were supplied with daily updates, photos and videos which meant we were constantly informed of Monty's adventures. The family matched his energy perfectly - it was almost as if he didn't want to leave and that is a testament to the families care and kindness! I could not recommend Greta enough and would certainly leave Monty with Greta again - THANK YOU!”

“Ella watched my chow chow for a one off night when I had to work, and hadn’t met her before - a daunting task! She went above and beyond to make sure my doggie was well-taken care of, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service. Will definitely be a repeat customer, wish I could put more than 5 stars! :)”

About: I’ve always been passionate about animals and have gained experience caring for dogs through working in kennels and at a dog daycare, dog walking and completing an animal care college course. I’ve cared for dogs of many different breeds, sizes and personalities, and I love getting to know what makes each dog unique. I also study dog body language and behaviour, which helps me understand dogs better and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I also train dogs using positive only methods and provide enrichment through play, and one-to-one attention. My goal is to give every dog a happy, relaxed home-from-home experience where they can stick to their routine and feel loved while they’re away from their family. I have a flexible schedule, allowing me to dedicate my time and planning according to your baby and their needs. I enjoy creating a routine that works for each individual dog, including play, enrichment, training sessions and plenty of attention throughout the day. I have a strong interest in dog behaviour and body language, which helps me understand each dog’s personality, comfort levels and needs. I’m happy to follow each owner’s routine, including feeding, commands and habits, so their dog feels settled and comfortable. I also love keeping owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel reassured that their dog is happy and well cared for. The safety and comfort of every animal in my care is my top priority. I care for my own pets by providing a safe, clean environment, a consistent routine and making sure their individual needs are always met. Because I have a strong interest in animal behaviour and body language, it helps me understand each animal as an individual and see and understand their needs. I’m passionate about positive training and believe mental stimulation is just as important as physical stimulation, building trust through patience and communication. I have even trained my own cat to learn tricks and basic obedience! 😂 My home has a large, secure fenced garden, giving dogs a safe space for supervised play, enrichment, toilet breaks and training sessions. I work around each dog’s routine rather than expecting them to fit around mine, including following their normal feeding, sleeping and comfort habits. If a dog is crate trained and their owner uses a crate as part of their normal routine, I am happy to continue this while they are in my care. On top of all this I provide frequent updates with pictures and videos of your fur babies so you can see how they’re getting on ❤️
About: I’ve been working in the veterinary industry for some time. I spent a lot of time around animals of all ages, and I’ve learned that even though they can’t talk, they have their own way of telling us what they need. I’m especially patient with senior pets who just need a slow pace and a gentle hand, as well as younger ones who are still figuring the world out. My approach is really just about being present and observant—I focus on sensing their mood and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while you're away. I’m not a professional trainer, but I am a great listener when it comes to what your pet is 'saying' through their behavior. I only work 4 days a week. I have no extra commitments outside of work so that gives me extra time to take care of our furry friends. I do not own a pet so no need to worry about comparability, especially for our extra anxious friends. There are parks around my building and so they can have easy access to the greens.
About: I have taken care of dogs for 20 year from my families to neighbours and other peoples from small dogs to large dogs. I absolutely love looking after dogs and if they get dirty I will even bath them to make them shine for the return. I am a stay at home mum two 1 but goes on losts of walks and park trips more out going on long walks out in the open I have fencing all round, lots of toys for them to play with so never get bored. I have a dog of my own. Ruby a cocker spaniel so will always have a fury friend to play with. Lots of space and lots of treats for good doggy's. And trips to the park and open field for plenty of excersise.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs throughout my life, especially my dog Storm holds a different place as the 5th member of the family. I am experienced with bathing, walking, puppy and day care. I have worked part-time in a veterinary two consecutive summers hence I am also experienced with special care like oral medication administration and much more! In Cyprus we have stray dogs everywhere which I love to look after them, especially if they are puppies. In UK, I miss my own dog and the feeling of dogs being around as they radiate positivity and friendship. I love going to walks at parks in the UK and would love an accompany! I am working from home hence I have plenty of time to take care of my furry friends ! My days are flexible and am able to accomodate according to your needs. I live in a flat with a balcony (fenced) however I am very close to parks hence we could head there without being on the main road. I do not have any dogs in UK as I am a student. - and miss my dog in Cyprus.

Krishi was AMAZING with Etana. She went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable and Etana was so so so happy in every photo and video she sent. Maya and Etana became the best of friends. An amazing sitter with great knowledge and care for pups. See you both again soon! 🤍🤍

Holly is absolutely lovely! She was fast at responding and was easy to communicate with. We visited holly with Cali to talk about her needs and daily routine. Straight away we knew holly was the person to look after our dog whilst we went on holiday! She listened to everything we told her and was more than happy to agree to look after Cali. We dropped Cali off in the agreed date and time and holly greeted us and took Cali and her things, we were very nervous as we have never left our dog before but holly reassured us and sent us daily pictures and updates. Cali looked very happy on the photos and was very well looked after! Holly was a lifesaver at such short notice! We would definitely use holly again in the future! Xx

Laura-Anne and Ryan were wonderful with my cat Lily. They took the greatest of care, gave her lots of attention and sent me lots of photos which was so reassuring, as she looked so relaxed. I was nervous about boarding her as this was the first time I had done this but as soon as she entered their home she seemed to settle straightaway and I was able to go on holiday without worrying. I will definitely book Laura-Anne again if I go away, knowing that Lily will experience the best of care, Thank you both so much.

Paul took such good care of our boy Eddie. He came home happy, healthy and looking well rested. His dog, Scotty is such a lovely, calm presence, fully balances Eddie out, who's always been a bit more on the intense side. We received plenty of updates so we could relax whilst away. Thank you Paul and Scotty taking such good care of Eddie x Until next time!

My dog had the most wonderful time with Pavithra and her dog. It was wonderful to see how well looked after and outdoor fun he had. To be honest, I think he was a bit disappointed to leave when I collected him! Clear, communicative, and so helpful! I'm very grateful and can definitely recommend!

Everything was great, initial communication, updates whilst Yuki was with summer, she really made leaving my fur baby a pleasant experience and I will certainly be booking her services again, my boy was very content and comfortable with her! Thank you for patience and understanding x

Patricia took amazing care of my dog Lupa! She kept me updated the whole time and sent through some really cute photos. Her dog Frida got on really well with Lupa and even got her doing zoomies, which she hadn't done in ages, very cute to see 😍 I felt totally comfortable leaving Lupa with her and could tell she was properly looked after. Patricia stuck to her routine and gave her loads of attention. Would 100% book again and can't recommend her enough. Thanks again!

Jodie went above and beyond, to make sure that my dog was comfortable and happy during her stay, we had regular updates and photos to reassure us that she was safe and happy. On the first night my dog wouldn't settle on her own, so Jodie went and slept on the sofa with her. What other pet sitter would go that far to ensure her happiness? Would highly recommend and will be using her again. Jodie you're amazing!

Wivi and Alex are, without question, the best dog sitters I’ve ever had. Kobes is a large, high-energy breed who needs someone confident, experienced and genuinely skilled with bigger dogs and he certainly doesn’t take to just anyone. They are absolutely brilliant with him, and I trust them completely. I visited several potential sitters before finding them, and Wivi and Alex were head and shoulders above everyone else I met. Kobes loves spending time with them, and it’s clear they understand his personality and know exactly how to manage him. On top of that, they’re both genuinely lovely people. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Deechen was amazing with my kitten who I was so scared of leaving alone with someone i didn’t know for the first time ever. She reassured me that mylo was doing good and i didn’t have to worry about him at all on my holiday. She sent lots of pictures and videos to keep me updated and treated mylo so well. She is so kind and caring i recommend booking with her. I could tell that mylo was safe and happy to stay at her apartment.

We had such a lovely experience. Our dog stayed with her for two weeks and came home happy, settled and clearly very well looked after. She sent us regular updates, photos and videos every day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Millie really enjoyed her stay and was treated like one of the family. We’re so pleased with the care and service and would happily recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
