“Max always has a wonderful time with Roberta and Tozi! I receive regular updates with wonderful photos of their adventures during the day. Makes me smile. Thanks again so much Roberta for looking after our little treasure. We feel much more relaxed knowing he’s with you. See you soon😁”

About: Hi! I’m Iona, proud dog Mum to Lulu the Cavalier and all round lover of pups. Ive grown up with dogs and have had my own for 10 years now. I’m the go to dog sitter in the friendship group. Lulu is 13 years old now and is very placid, she loves having other dogs around for Company. Living in the city centre, I have direct access to a private garden and dog park to keep your pup safe and well exercised. I’m an early riser and tend to head out along the canals for a morning walk. Late morning I head to the private dog park, followed by plenty of time for afternoon naps! Weather dependant I will head out for an afternoon / early evening longer walk. And finally a toilet stop before bed. Dogs are very welcome to make themselves at home in my house. My home is pet safe and Lulu is non-reactive in her home to other dogs regardless of how much they want to say hi or how much energy they have!

“We needed last minute care for our Lurcher Lenny and Alasdair and family were great. We had a relaxed meet and greet and our dog was more than happy to return to the house for drop off. The house and garden are really spacious and we had regular updates from Alasdair. They asked all the important questions about Lenny’s care and they are clearly knowledgable about dogs. It sounds like Lenny really enjoyed spending time with their two huskies. Thank you!”
“I left my Frenchie who has had IVDD so he has a bit of extra care required. Wei was phenomenal. Truly gave us such a peace to leave him with her. She sent updates regularly I could tell he was doted on and loved. We got videos and pictures of his walks and him playing. She was excellent with him. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. And will be booking with them again on the next holiday.”

“Sylwia was brilliant. There were plenty of updates and photo’s. She was very accommodating with Lyra’s needs as a high energy GSP. I would certainly recommend Sylwia’s services and I will 100% be using her again.”

“Lyndsay and Niall were absolutely wonderful. This was the first time my dog Bella had stayed with someone I didn't know, so initially I was quite anxious on my part. But after meeting them both, I was then more than happy for Bella to be looked after there. They are both very lovely and reasurring people. As the holiday went on I received regular updates on how Bella was doing, and received lots of photos of her. All my worries were lifted, clearly she was having just as much of a good time as me. Almost like her own little holiday. I honestly can't thank Lyndsay and Niall enough for how amazingly they looked after my fur child. I will definitely be booking with them whenever I go away again. I really couldn't recommend them enough!”

“Hannah is a great sitter. Putting our anxious minds at rest with her total commitment and attention to detail. Bella was made very welcome and part of her family for the week. I would highly recommend and most definately I will be using again.”

“Aurora was excellent, she took care of Lucifer while I was away and provided plenty of updates. She responds very quickly and was on time for drop off and pick up. She fed him, walked him, and gave him plenty of back rubs. He looked very relaxed and comfortable in her place and slept most of the day. We will definitely book with her again!”

“Absolutely lovely lady, I would definitely recommend my dog was well looked after and very happy. My dog had lots of play time and got on well with Charlotte's dog, again thank you so much I will definitely be back xxx”

“Rufus remained calm and content during the stay with Liliana, and she was regularly providing updates 2 times a day. I have never seen Rufus this happy with someone else than family, it was a perfect home away from home for him and 16 days seemed like a dream come true, I was so assured that he is in good hands that my trip was relaxed and productive. I would not hesitate to recommend Liliana or to rebook Rufus many times with her. Highly recommended!”

“Hugo had his first overnight stay with Hannah and loved it. He is always cared for so well and we are very grateful to Hannah for all that she does for him when he is with her. Thank you so much. We will definitely see you again soon!”

“Brilliant experience with Emily. We left our little boy Mylo for the first time. Emily was great. He settled down with her very quickly. Had a great nights sleep with no issue. We will definitely be using her again and will make recommendations to friends. Thank you Emily (from Mylo).”

“We always feel a little nervous leaving our dog, especially when we know he'll have to get used to a new place. But Audrey was lovely, really attentive to Comet, clearly helping him settle down and feel at home! Regular updates helped us feel reassured, too. :) And sounds like he had some really nice walks and plenty of fuss. Wouldn't hesitate to book again in the future. Thank you again!”

“Pep had a great couple of nights’ stay with Pratik and family. We swapped information in advance and Pratik was incredibly responsive to any queries I had. We had lots of updates from Pep’s stay and I felt very reassured that he was being well cared for. I’d certainly recommend Pratik”

About: We are Joe and Elise, a young professional couple, both in our late twenties. We have always lived with dogs until we moved into our own house four years ago. We used to regularly dog sit for family, but they moved away last summer. We still sporadically dog sit for friends either for the day or while they’re on holiday. We miss regularly spending time with dogs, but aren’t in a position to get one currently. We would love to spend time and look after yours! We have no pets or children in our home. We both work from home and very rarely have meetings at the same time, so will always be able to let your dog out in the garden, and take them for walks throughout the day. We have a fenced garden and no other pets or children. We live in the centre of Moseley and have access to the private park, so will be able to take your dog out for quick walks or longer strolls throughout the day.

About: I have lived with dogs since I was a child, and my family in China has an 18-year-old small dog, so I understand how much love, patience and routine pets need at every stage of life. In the UK, I have also helped look after my friends’ dogs, including Dachshunds, Border Collies and Cocker Spaniels. I have experience with feeding, walking, playing, keeping dogs company and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I genuinely love spending time with dogs and I always try to understand each dog’s personality, habits and needs. I will follow the owner’s instructions carefully and keep them updated with messages and photos. I am currently a student, so my schedule is very flexible. I am usually available on both weekdays and weekends, and I can plan around each pet’s routine. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with safe indoor space, and there is a small dog park at the apartment for walks and toilet breaks.
“Tahra has been absolutely fantastic while looking after our two dogs. They are both quite nervous dogs and she obviously made them feel very comfortable as we were very quickly receiving photos of them cuddled up on the sofa. The regular updates were great and really help put our mind at ease. Thank you for looking after our babies so well ❤️”

“Wivi is so wonderful and took such great care of my cat, Midnight, whilst we were away. It was his first time away from home so he seemed anxious but Wivi was so kind and gave him a lovely holiday home. Really appreciate and recommend her! Will definitely want to rebook in future when we go away again. Thank you so much! X”

“We were nervous leaving our puppy for the first time while we left for holiday but Beatriz put us at ease by sending us multiple updates of his time every day we were gone! Beatriz kept a close eye on how he was adapting to his new surroundings, and had shown him an unbelievable amount of love! We would use her again in a heartbeat”

Wivi and Alex are, without question, the best dog sitters I’ve ever had. Kobes is a large, high-energy breed who needs someone confident, experienced and genuinely skilled with bigger dogs and he certainly doesn’t take to just anyone. They are absolutely brilliant with him, and I trust them completely. I visited several potential sitters before finding them, and Wivi and Alex were head and shoulders above everyone else I met. Kobes loves spending time with them, and it’s clear they understand his personality and know exactly how to manage him. On top of that, they’re both genuinely lovely people. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Barley had the best time and was in very good hands . He was exceptional well cared for during our trip away. Daily updates with pictures and videos kept us in the loop but also the knowledge he was having fun too. Thank you both - Barley loved his time with you (;-)))

We had such a lovely experience. Our dog stayed with her for two weeks and came home happy, settled and clearly very well looked after. She sent us regular updates, photos and videos every day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Millie really enjoyed her stay and was treated like one of the family. We’re so pleased with the care and service and would happily recommend her!

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Bailey was so well looked after and clearly had a lovely time. The communication was excellent throughout, and we felt completely reassured knowing she was in such caring and capable hands. It was obvious that Frantzeska genuinely love dogs and treated Bailey like one of their own. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog, which says it all! We would happily recommend them and will definitely be booking again.

Thank you so much, Lindsay and Niall, for taking such good care of Beau! He clearly had an absolutely brilliant time. He’s been fast asleep for the last couple of hours since we got home — completely knackered from all the fun and excitement! 😂 It’s lovely knowing he’s been so well looked after and has enjoyed himself so much. Thanks again — I really appreciate it! 🐾❤️

Beatrix really, genuinely cared for my dog. I honestly couldn't have been more impressed. I received plenty of beautifully shot videos & photos. Always providing a thoughtful & highly approachable attitude throughout the entire process. Have no qualms, highly recommended! 5*

We boarded our dog Bella with Mani for 4 nights. This was the first time we had boarded her anywhere. We couldn't be happier with the care our dog received! From the moment we met Mani, it was clear he genuinely loved and understood dogs. He kept us updated with regular photos and messages, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Our dog came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It was obvious she had plenty of attention, exercise, and affection throughout her stay. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mani to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and professional dog boarder. Thank you for treating our dog like one of your own—we'll definitely be booking again!

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
