About: I have hands-on experience caring for my own dog and understand the importance of routine, patience, and attention. I provide regular walks, a calm home environment, and personalised care based on each dog’s needs. I only accept dogs that are comfortable living with another dog to ensure a safe and relaxed stay. I structure my daily routine around pet care, ensuring regular walks, feeding times, and supervision throughout the day. I’m home for most of the day during the week, allowing me to maintain a consistent routine, and I’m fully available on weekends for attentive pet care. I live in a clean, and cosy apartment that’s well suited to calm, indoor living. I also have a friendly cavapoo girl at home who enjoys gentle company and helps visiting pets feel settled and relaxed.

About: We are Joe and Elise, a young professional couple, both in our late twenties. We have always lived with dogs until we moved into our own house four years ago. We used to regularly dog sit for family, but they moved away last summer. We still sporadically dog sit for friends either for the day or while they’re on holiday. We miss regularly spending time with dogs, but aren’t in a position to get one currently. We would love to spend time and look after yours! We have no pets or children in our home. We both work from home and very rarely have meetings at the same time, so will always be able to let your dog out in the garden, and take them for walks throughout the day. We have a fenced garden and no other pets or children. We live in the centre of Moseley and have access to the private park, so will be able to take your dog out for quick walks or longer strolls throughout the day.

“Hungyi was absolutely fabulous looking after and caring for Luna! We received regular feedback and the communication throughout the whole process was just great. Thank you for looking after Luna, we’ll definitely rebook.”

About: I grew up with dogs at home, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. I have plenty of hands-on experience with feeding, walking, playing, cleaning, and giving pets the attention they need. I also regularly look after dogs and cats for international students when they travel back home, and their pets have always been very well cared for. I understand how important it is to be responsible, careful, and attentive to a pet’s health and wellbeing. Owners feel reassured because I keep them updated with photos and messages, so they know their pets are safe, happy, and loved while they are away. I treat every pet like part of my own family and always try my best to make them feel comfortable. I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the care, attention, and company they need. I can fit pet care into my daily routine easily, including feeding, cleaning, playtime, walks, and regular check-ins. I also works from home, so I can look after the pets and respond quickly if they need anything. I’m happy to follow each owner’s instructions carefully, whether their pet has a specific routine, feeding time, or special needs. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment for pets. My home has plenty of space for cats and dogs to move around, rest, and feel relaxed. Because I work from home, pets are not left alone for long periods and can receive attention whenever needed. I always pay close attention to each pet’s mood, appetite, toilet habits, and general health. I also send regular photo and message updates to owners, so they can feel reassured that their pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. I treat every pet like part of my own family.
“Winnie loved her stay at Hannah’s. So much so she didn’t want to leave! 😂 Hannah kept in touch, sent photo and video updates and Winnie was clearly very loved and she was happy during her stay. Thank you! ☺️”

Sylwia was amazing. Very patient with Marnie who is a timid quiet dog. She put me at ease and peace while a way with lots of updates. Think Marnie enjoyed her stay so much that she didn't look happy to see us. Marnie had her own quiet room with access to the garden and she was so cared for..

Jiale did an amazing job looking after Karbi. She is very quick to respond and was always keeping us up to date with our pet with daily photos and messages to keep us at ease. Karbi was very happy with Jiale and well looked after. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a genuine, kind and pet loving sitter. If we are looking for a sitter in the future, then we know where we can find a great one. Thank you Again Jiale for looking after our old boy.

Aurora was excellent, she took care of Lucifer while I was away and provided plenty of updates. She responds very quickly and was on time for drop off and pick up. She fed him, walked him, and gave him plenty of back rubs. He looked very relaxed and comfortable in her place and slept most of the day. We will definitely book with her again!

Krishigna was amazing with my very high-energy Cocker Spaniel Bruno. It was his first time ever being away from me, but Krishigna made the whole experience so much easier. She kept me updated regularly with messages, which gave me real peace of mind, and it was clear he was happy and well looked after. I’m so pleased with the care she gave him and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend! 🐾

From start to end, Laryssa was brilliant with managing our booking - from the initial meet and greet where she was calm & confident with a strong German Shepherd, through to terrific flexibility over drop off and collect times. Mella took to her immediately and seemed very calm and settled when collected. Regular updates were provided to put our minds at rest and comms were strong - Mella was cared for during the difficult heatwave too - thank you so much: highly recommended. :)

Mani is a magic man! My Greay Dane is incredibly sensitive (and large!). He is so wonderful with her, incredibly understanding and kind. I was so worried leaving her to go on holiday and Mani made me feel very comfortable. Send multiple videos, photos and updates every day. I think he is now Taylor's new best friend! 💛

Anabel was absolutely amazing with Cookie! She was reliable, caring, and treated Cookie as if she were her own. Throughout my trip, Anabel provided regular updates, which gave me great peace of mind and reassurance that Cookie was in safe and loving hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after her. I would highly recommend Anabel to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.

Ruby was a fantastic host to Frankie, instantly gelled with him, sent regular updates with pics and vids and just letting us know how he was in general. Lovely lady, great aura about her and u could tell she was a dog lover. Would highly recommend her to anyone! Thank you Ruby will get in touch if we need ur assistance again x

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
