About: I've taken care of various breeds, such as maltese, poodle, shih tzu, springer spaniel, short haired pointer, etc. I am also experienced in taking care of puppies and have a knack for understanding what your fur babies need. I am responsible, patient and loving and have always been a dog lover since young. To me, this is more than just a side hustle job. It's meaningful, self-fulfilling and rewarding to be able to care for many different types of dogs, giving them the love and care while you are away. With me, your fur babies will always be safe, happy, and loved. ❤️ I am working from home, so I can always make time to look after your pets, keep them entertained, and bring them out for walks and toilet breaks. I am living in a pet-friendly apartment building. Great location right in central Brum. There's a small garden at the bulding and many parks nearby. My house is clean, organised, and pet-proof. No children and no other pets.
“This was Brambles third time with Dan, and you could see he was really happy to go back. Dan is very attentive and sends lots of updates throughout the day. The rooftop terrace is amazing, with so much free safe space for Brambles to run around.”

“Dylan was thrilled to see Beatriz again and I can see why! He had a fantastic walk and lots of attention, and came home a very happy and sleepy boy. Thanks again very much Beatriz!”

“First time leaving our anxious dog with anyone. Jodie has been lovely, kept me updated with txts and pics. Louie’s had a lovely day! We’ve booked Jodie again for an overnight and I’m reassured he will be more than ok with her.”

“Jiale was amazing with Tequila, he was happy and comfortable and she understood him really well! Jiale was amazing communicating with me and I will definitely be asking her to look after my little Tequila again 😄”

“Sky had a lot of fun playing with Lucifer! She came home ready for bed. Definitely recommend Tareq, he is very accommodating and takes great care of dogs. Thank you ☺️”

About: Your little doggo will have the most amount of attention in our flat as we don't have any pets of our own at the moment. My partner and I grew up (separately!) having both had Yorkshire terriers. I love spending time with dogs, and our location in city centre in the JQ areas offers lovely little parks and walking areas perfect for local dogs who are used to the area. I have taken care of family and friends animals in the past and will care take watching your little doggo. A little bonus is we have a vet who is a friend and neighbour in the building! I work from home so I'm very flexible. I would at minimum walk a dog twice a day: once in the morning and once in the evening before dinner. If you have specific walking times I am happy to accommodate them if possible. We have a big two bedroom, with a nice large living room/kitchen. It is still a flat so at the moment we're only accepting small-medium doggos for their own comfort.

About: I used to work part-time as a dog walker in New York City whilst living there from 2016-2018 and it doesn't get much more stressful than that! I walked dogs all over the city with the Wag app and had a 5⭐️rating. I have experience walking all different types of dog breeds in one of the busiest cities on earth, so rest assured I will provide your dog with a safe and enjoyable walking experience. I am the go-to petsitter for my friends and family and have cared for small, medium, and large dogs, puppies and senior dogs. I am a lifelong animal-lover and grew up with a Dalmatian dog (Pebbles) and two cats (Poppy and Iris). I do not have any pets so your dog will get my undivided attention! I am currently working from home on a freelance basis so my time is flexible. I can structure my day around your pet's needs and provide plenty of walks and breaks outside. I live next to several green spaces and can easily access fantastic walking routes of all different lengths for your dog. I am an incredibly structured and reliable person, so I can cater my time around your pet.
“Right, well I thought Ivan was excited when he arrived last time, but today Ming got the full ‘squeal like a pig’ excitement from him when he saw her 😂 The squeal is reserved for his most favourite people, so I knew he was going to have a lovely day 🥰🐶”

“Harper was incredibly caring with Brownie 🥹🥰 I could see how much fun he had, and for the first time, as soon as we got home, he went straight to bed 😂. I’m truly grateful for Harper's love and attention towards him. She shared photos and updates throughout their time together, and seeing them enjoy each other and Brownie settle in peacefully gave me a deep sense of comfort and confidence that he was in good hands 🫶🏾”

“Simeon was absolutely fantastic! My dog Baloo has severe separation anxiety but with Simeon's expertcare what I thought was going to be a nightmare turn out to be stress free and enjoyable for both Baloo and I. Simeon made sure that Baloo had all the exercise and attention that he needed as well as a very flexible schedule for drop-off and pick-up that worked around my chaotic work schedule. I would definitely recommend him personally to anybody looking for someone to care for their pet like they would themselves!”

About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember! I’ve had dogs since I was young and now have one of my own. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for. I am constantly around all types of animals and having to commit myself to taking care of them. I am comfortable around all dogs and am willing to adapt and learn. I also want to add that it is me and my sister that provide services and we take care of them with the same amount of care and love. I am home full time so we start of with a morning short walk, come back to eat then they have the freedom to play ,around 2-3 hours later we go for a longer walk and mabye some of lead play, come back eat lunch, play the rest of the afternoon then eat dinner then we tend to run into my doggy friend that live around me so we just end of letting them play for about an hour then head to bed around 9-10 I have a dog myself and she is very friendly once she gets to know your furry baby. We do live in an apartment but we have a gated area where they play of lead. Also there are plenty of dogs around that are always open to meeting new friends

About: Hi! I’m a dog mom currently on a career break and new to the area, which means I have the time, flexibility, and genuine enthusiasm to care for your pets. I’ve had experience with both cat sitting and dog sitting, and I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality—whether it’s energetic walks, playtime, or just keeping them company and comfortable at home. I also have a sweet 4-year-old Goldendoodle named Bodhya, so I’m very familiar with daily routines, exercise needs, and the level of care and attention pets deserve. Being a pet parent myself, I understand how important trust and communication are, and I’ll always keep you updated while you’re away. Since I’m new to the city, I’m excited to meet my neighbors—especially the furry ones! I’ll treat your pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine right now. I’m currently on a career break, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to plan my days around the pets I’m caring for. I already structure my day around my own dog, Bodhya, so walks, feeding times, and play are a regular part of my routine. I’m used to being consistent and attentive, whether that’s making time for exercise, enrichment, or just keeping pets company. For cats, I’m comfortable doing drop-in visits throughout the day or evening, and I always make sure to spend quality time with them—whether they prefer interactive play or just a calm presence nearby. Because I’m not juggling a full-time job at the moment, I can be reliable, responsive, and flexible with timing, including weekends. Pet care isn’t something I’m squeezing in—it’s something I genuinely enjoy building my routine around. I tailor my care to each pet’s routine and personality. For drop-ins or house sitting, I stick to their usual schedule—feeding, fresh water, litter or walks—and follow any specific instructions. With cats, I respect their space and build trust at their pace, whether that means playtime or just a calm presence. For dogs, I ensure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment while keeping their routine consistent. I always treat pets like my own and keep owners updated with regular photos and messages.
“I left my Winnie with Amar for 4 days whilst I had jury service and he was great! He sent photo/video updates throughout the day so I knew Winnie was okay, and was very accommodating to my drop off/pick up times. It was my first time leaving Winnie with anyone, so I was a bit nervous, but Amar was very relaxed and calm which put my mind at ease. Would definitely recommend and will definitely use Amar again if we need care for Winnie! Thanks Amar!”

About: I have taken care of several animals over the years, but have never been able to gain proper professional experience. However, since I have practice looking after a range of animals (horses, chickens, dogs, cats, fish), I would like to take the opportunity to further develop my knowledge. I am a university student living in the city centre, with a high availability to work during term time, on both weekdays and on weekends. Unfortunately I currently live in a student accommodation which does not allow pets, however in the summer I will be moving into my own house in which pets are allowed. For the time being I plan to keep pets entertained either in their own household or spending longer hours outside.

Aurora was amazing with Archer! He can be a little shy around new people at first, but she made him feel comfortable and he settled in almost immediately. She sent lots of updates, photos and videos throughout his stay, which really put my mind at ease. It was clear he was having a great time, and I’ll definitely be booking with Aurora again. Highly recommend! ❤️

Roxie loved her visit with Jiale! Jiale has been so communicative, helpful and friendly and we have booked her in for a series of dates. She is so knowledgeable about dogs and so genuinely caring, my dog can be very anxious and attached and Jiale made her feel incredibly calm and at home. She sent us pictures and photos throughout the day which really put my mind at rest, and Roxie was happy when I came to pick her up!

Ruby was absolutely fantastic with my Labrador. I was worried about Rosie being a bit too energetic but Ruby handled her like a pro. We had regular pictures of how happy and calm Rosie looked. And she had a great trip to a lovely park. Would 100% book again and recommend Ruby highly to anyone

Tareq looked after my Dog Winter when I was visiting Birmingham for the day on a conference. I was a little nervous leaving her with someone I hadn't met before, but Tareq's reviews were so positive and communication was great from the outset, so I felt reassured. Needless to say, Winter had a great time!!! I got loads of pictures and updates, and when I collected her she was happy, stress-free, fed and walked. Couldn't ask for more! Thanks Tareq!!!!

This was a repeat booking - Anthony is a caring and trusted dogsitter we know we can rely upon to meet a dog’s needs; provide reassuring updates and photos; and keep a dog happy (and entertained). Rolo spent another lovely day with Anthony - once we’d left, Rolo tried to take me back to Anthony’s home, so he clearly enjoys his time with him! Thank you very much.

Highly Recommended! I cannot thank Anna enough for looking after my 6-month-old puppy, Teddy, this past week. I found myself in a bit of an emergency situation and needed a sitter last minute. Since this was the first time I had ever left Teddy, especially with someone I didn’t know, I was incredibly apprehensive and nervous. From the very start, Anna was amazing we had an initial phone call followed by a meet-and-greet walk. Her calm nature immediately settled my nerves and made me feel confident leaving Teddy in her care. Teddy stayed with Anna for 4 days, and she provided frequent updates, photos, and tracked his walks on Rover. It was so reassuring to see him happy and settled. Anna is extremely personable and showed so much genuine care for both Teddy and myself during a stressful week. Every morning, Teddy was visibly excited to see her. It speaks volumes when your puppy is that happy to head out the door! I would definitely recommend Anna to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving sitter. Teddy is already looking forward to seeing you again and thank you so much for all your support this week!

Rebecca was fantastic with my little Fred. He immediately took to her and was very comfortable with “leaving mummy” for the day. She checked in throughout the day and sent photos so that I knew everything was fine. It was a great experience for both Fred and me. I highly recommend Rebecca.

- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
