About: I've taken care of various breeds, such as maltese, poodle, shih tzu, springer spaniel, short haired pointer, etc. I am also experienced in taking care of puppies and have a knack for understanding what your fur babies need. I am responsible, patient and loving and have always been a dog lover since young. To me, this is more than just a side hustle job. It's meaningful, self-fulfilling and rewarding to be able to care for many different types of dogs, giving them the love and care while you are away. With me, your fur babies will always be safe, happy, and loved. ❤️ I am working from home, so I can always make time to look after your pets, keep them entertained, and bring them out for walks and toilet breaks. I am living in a pet-friendly apartment building. Great location right in central Brum. There's a small garden at the bulding and many parks nearby. My house is clean, organised, and pet-proof. No children and no other pets.
“Pratik and his family were great. My dog made a good friend in their dog. They looked after Yennefer really well, taking care of walks and feeding. Yennefer enjoyed the company. We received lots of photos and videos. I will definitely use Pratik again.”

“Harper was incredibly caring with Brownie 🥹🥰 I could see how much fun he had, and for the first time, as soon as we got home, he went straight to bed 😂. I’m truly grateful for Harper's love and attention towards him. She shared photos and updates throughout their time together, and seeing them enjoy each other and Brownie settle in peacefully gave me a deep sense of comfort and confidence that he was in good hands 🫶🏾”

“Sylvia was very welcoming to Ralph and very set up for dogs. She sent us photos of what they had been up to and had very good communication. We plan to use Sylwia again soon.”

“Rebecca was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Roscoe. She’s such a bubbly and friendly person, which instantly put me at ease. We had a quick call before drop-off which was really reassuring, and throughout the day I received lovely updates on how Roscoe was getting on. He seemed so settled and happy in her care. I’d definitely recommend Rebecca to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring, and I’ll certainly be using her services again!”

“Brody had a wonderful time with Lyndsey and Niall. He settled in straight away and I had regular updates and photos which settled my mind. He had lovely walks in the local park, lots of cuddles and he seemed very happy. He returned the following day and was excited to go as he eagerly waited for Lyndsey or Niall to open the door. The Rover card was useful to see what had been done and whether this followed a similar pattern to his usual routine (as differences may cause stress) but he did exactly what he normally does this showcasing how happy he was. I wholeheartedly recommend both for dog sitting/boarding.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, so I’m very comfortable understanding their behaviour, routines, and needs. I believe in providing both structure and affection, making sure dogs feel secure, happy, and well cared for. I’m patient, attentive, and confident handling different personalities, whether that means energetic playtime, calm companionship, or reinforcing good behaviour. I treat every dog as if they were my own and always aim to create a safe, loving environment while their owners are away. Pet care fits easily into my routine as I’m currently at university and only have lectures two days a week, which gives me a lot of flexibility. I love being outdoors and going on walks, so caring for a dog fits perfectly with my lifestyle. I live very close to Selly Park, which is a great green space for walks, playtime, and fresh air. I’m happy to give dogs plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship throughout the day. In my home, pets will be in a safe and welcoming environment. I am a big dog lover, so will always spoil them with attention and affection. I have a small fenced garden and a spacious living room where dogs can relax and play comfortably. I also live close to Selly Park, which is perfect for regular walks and outdoor time.
“Truffle had his first day care experience with Antonio and Patty. He did not look like he missed us at all. Though he was tired with the new place and new scent he looked very cheerful and happy. Thank you Antonio and Patty”

About: Hi! I’m a dog mom currently on a career break and new to the area, which means I have the time, flexibility, and genuine enthusiasm to care for your pets. I’ve had experience with both cat sitting and dog sitting, and I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality—whether it’s energetic walks, playtime, or just keeping them company and comfortable at home. I also have a sweet 4-year-old Goldendoodle named Bodhya, so I’m very familiar with daily routines, exercise needs, and the level of care and attention pets deserve. Being a pet parent myself, I understand how important trust and communication are, and I’ll always keep you updated while you’re away. Since I’m new to the city, I’m excited to meet my neighbors—especially the furry ones! I’ll treat your pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine right now. I’m currently on a career break, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to plan my days around the pets I’m caring for. I already structure my day around my own dog, Bodhya, so walks, feeding times, and play are a regular part of my routine. I’m used to being consistent and attentive, whether that’s making time for exercise, enrichment, or just keeping pets company. For cats, I’m comfortable doing drop-in visits throughout the day or evening, and I always make sure to spend quality time with them—whether they prefer interactive play or just a calm presence nearby. Because I’m not juggling a full-time job at the moment, I can be reliable, responsive, and flexible with timing, including weekends. Pet care isn’t something I’m squeezing in—it’s something I genuinely enjoy building my routine around. I tailor my care to each pet’s routine and personality. For drop-ins or house sitting, I stick to their usual schedule—feeding, fresh water, litter or walks—and follow any specific instructions. With cats, I respect their space and build trust at their pace, whether that means playtime or just a calm presence. For dogs, I ensure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment while keeping their routine consistent. I always treat pets like my own and keep owners updated with regular photos and messages.
“Domenica looked after my nervous German Shepherd with much gentleness, patience and care. It was his first daycation with a pet sitters and I was nervous beforehand. But I'm so glad we went for it, I really want to give my dog more positive experiences with people outside his little circle. We will definitely be arranging some more regular days.”

“Ming was so lovely and caring and took great care of our dog. Would highly recommend her services and hope to use her again in the future the next time we visit Birmingham.”

Ruby was absolutely fantastic with my Labrador. I was worried about Rosie being a bit too energetic but Ruby handled her like a pro. We had regular pictures of how happy and calm Rosie looked. And she had a great trip to a lovely park. Would 100% book again and recommend Ruby highly to anyone

Tareq looked after my Dog Winter when I was visiting Birmingham for the day on a conference. I was a little nervous leaving her with someone I hadn't met before, but Tareq's reviews were so positive and communication was great from the outset, so I felt reassured. Needless to say, Winter had a great time!!! I got loads of pictures and updates, and when I collected her she was happy, stress-free, fed and walked. Couldn't ask for more! Thanks Tareq!!!!

Meet and greet Hong was very friendly when we met Misty went to her without any reservations she told me of the day that she had plan and sent me some lovely pictures of Misty out playing in the park and on a long walk . Picking Misty up in the afternoon Misty was tired but very happy am very happy with the care that was given and will be using Hong again
This was a repeat booking - Anthony is a caring and trusted dogsitter we know we can rely upon to meet a dog’s needs; provide reassuring updates and photos; and keep a dog happy (and entertained). Rolo spent another lovely day with Anthony - once we’d left, Rolo tried to take me back to Anthony’s home, so he clearly enjoys his time with him! Thank you very much.

Highly Recommended! I cannot thank Anna enough for looking after my 6-month-old puppy, Teddy, this past week. I found myself in a bit of an emergency situation and needed a sitter last minute. Since this was the first time I had ever left Teddy, especially with someone I didn’t know, I was incredibly apprehensive and nervous. From the very start, Anna was amazing we had an initial phone call followed by a meet-and-greet walk. Her calm nature immediately settled my nerves and made me feel confident leaving Teddy in her care. Teddy stayed with Anna for 4 days, and she provided frequent updates, photos, and tracked his walks on Rover. It was so reassuring to see him happy and settled. Anna is extremely personable and showed so much genuine care for both Teddy and myself during a stressful week. Every morning, Teddy was visibly excited to see her. It speaks volumes when your puppy is that happy to head out the door! I would definitely recommend Anna to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving sitter. Teddy is already looking forward to seeing you again and thank you so much for all your support this week!

Rebecca was fantastic with my little Fred. He immediately took to her and was very comfortable with “leaving mummy” for the day. She checked in throughout the day and sent photos so that I knew everything was fine. It was a great experience for both Fred and me. I highly recommend Rebecca.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
