Excited to make some new furry friends
Hey, I’m Ilena! I’ve been dog sitting on Rover for over two years now, and I absolutely love it. Before that, I spent several years working in dog refuges across Europe and latterly in Morocco. I’ve cared for every kind of dog—from playful pups who just want to zoom around to nervous rescues who need extra patience and understanding. Each dog is different and has their own character and quirks. It truly brings me joy getting to know each dog for who they are and making sure they are feel happy, safe and comfortable. Your pup will be with me all day, whether we’re out on walks, playing in the park, or relaxing at home. I work remotely, so they’ll always have company (and plenty of love). If they have specific needs or routines, just let me know—I’m happy to follow whatever they need. Whether your dog is easygoing or a bit of a challenge at times (🙈) I’d love to look after them. 💛

I currently work for an animal welfare organisation remotely, so your doggie will have plenty of company! My typical work hours are 8:30-5 with a 1 hour lunch break. My work hours are flexible so toilet breaks/walks as regularly as needed can be easily managed. I would typically take your dog on a walk before work / lunch / after work, with added toilet breaks. If you have an older or more lazy pup, we can of course take it slower. I live a 10 minute walk from Moseley private park and a 25 minute walk from Moseley bog, Highbury park and Canon hill. So, we have a lot of options!

I live in ground floor flat with a garden so inbetween walks, they can go for the toilet or a sniff as much as they need!
A typical day
I love to have fun with dogs and keep them stimulated. I never want a dog to be bored in my company! Whether that’s playing, throwing a ball, having a big walk, or even just chilling on the sofa and having cuddles- I want to make sure that we both have fun and bond.
