Prior to your first booking I request a small amount of paper work be filled out to highlight things such as behaviour issues, dietary requirements, walking habits, medication specifications, Vet info and a few other bits and pieces. For most first-time bookings, I will usually visit your property twice, firstly to conduct the initial meet & greet to get to know all their is to know about your pet (and also to get them to know me slightly), and a second visit shortly before the booking starts to collect the keys. This way your pet can become a little more familiar with me prior to the start of the booking. If your pet is nervous around new people, then we can discuss additional ad-hoc visits prior to the start of the booking to give your pet more of a chance to become relaxed and comfortable around me. Depending on distance from my property, I may charge a discretionary fee for these visits if they are needed.

A typical cat visit: Normally when I arrive I will spend between 5-10 mins to sit with them, while saying hello and petting them. After which I will feed them, clean their litter etc. Sometimes I will sit with them for a little longer after they have eaten; however, typically cats (especially garden cats) tend to be 'satisfied' with their human once they have been fed, and no longer want any affection. Because of this, cat visits tend to average roughly 20 mins or so. A typical dog visit: All dogs are different, so it is difficult to describe a 'typical' dog visit, but usually they involve an affectionate hello with lots of belly rubs and pats, followed by a walk and other bond-building exercises. I enjoy playing fetch with dogs, and I'm quite physically fit and able, so I don't mind running around and wearing out younger pups.
