About: I've had pets my whole life. I've looked after an aray of different kinds of pets, you name it, I've looked after it. I've always be drawn and connected with pets, especially dogs. I've had mainly Staffordshire bull terriers my whole life and have always strived to create a difference in the ways they're perceived. I've looked after senior dogs, I'm very good with medicine administration and making sure they're in a calm and relaxed environment. I've always enjoyed taking the time to train puppies to be able to create the best environment for the owners and pups! I've got a very clear schedule to be able to look after and make time for your pets! I'll have all the time to be able to play with them and creating an enjoyable time for the hours you're away. I'm very reliable with punctuality if ever there was a need to be somewhere quickly! I will always ensure I keep a close eye on pets at all times! They will never not be able to enjoy their time when I'm around. I will care for their needs and make sure that they are calm and relaxed in the best environment possible.

13. Deniz P.
About: I have looked after a wide range of animals, mainly dogs, from working security dogs to toy breeds. I always ensure your pets are happy to stay with us. I have plenty of land for your dogs and I am always around other walkers, trainers etc… I did dog walking as a teenager and my mother also did boarding from our home for nearly 3 years which I always helped out in, however then Covid came along and our home business stopped running, but even then I still managed to find a way to work with dogs! (Walking people’s dogs during those hard times etc.) Since then I have studied, done training and got my own dogs to work with and do sports with. I’ve always loved and been around animals since a small age. I have also found that I get on with animals more than humans too :) I also know how hard it is for an owner to leave their best mates for a little while. But it’s just as stressful for the dogs. I can read animals well and I can bond with most pretty quick. So I love to work on having the dogs settled as much as possible with me for peace of mind to the owners and a much more happier boy or girl whilst mom or dad are away. However it’s not always an easy job but it’s a job I enjoy and love to do! I am currently working as a dog handler in security and have been for 2 years. I have trained in many facilities, doing obedience, behavioural issues and protection work. So I can also offer training if requested as well. Between me and my partner we can offer a variety of things to do with your dogs or when they stay with us! I have 2 dogs of my own and my partner also has dogs and works in dog training, so I always have dogs to look after. I train with my dogs multiple times a week. I have land and training grounds that I can use to ensure your pets have most fun possible, as I also love this for my own dogs. I make sure each dog gets a release of energy every day so that they can relax for the rest of their day. “A tired dirty dog, is a happy dog” :) I have a choice of outdoor kennels and indoor space so that you can choose where you would like your pets to stay, to ensure most comfortability and relaxation for your pets depending on how you usually keep them at home. As I have my own animals I never allow any contact with pets that I look after with either my own or any other dogs that are out and about when on walks, just to be safe. I have a dog that can be used for interaction but only if wanted or asked for by the owner, as she is trained and harmless and just loves to be around and play, some dogs may also love a play and interaction with another fellow furry friend. My outdoor kennels are heated in colder times if you do keep pets outside to make sure they are warm. If dogs are indoor I keep all dogs crated and don’t allow free roaming during night time, this is for my peace of mind in case of any trips or falls and again to avoid any contact with other dogs. And don’t worry if your dog isn’t usually crated, I take my time with them and use lots of encouragement. I also like to keep in touch and send pictures or videos to pet owners as it’s hard to leave your babies, however it’s comforting to have updates and pictures of them.

17. Leonie M.
“Leonie looked after my dog Kiko (Dobermann), he's never been left without me before so I was a bit worried with how he'd react. However leonie has good experience with her own pets so I knew I could trust her. A week after I came back and they were best of friends as I hoped, well fed and clean. Kiko was even sad that she had to leave!”

18. Shannon A.
About: I’ve been taking care and raising animals since I was born. I’ve cared for animals such as horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes, fish, hamsters and guinea pigs. I mainly look after dogs. I currently have two golden retrievers myself one of which I have raised since birth. I have experience raising puppies from birth, bottle feeding, burping, puppy pad training and teaching them tricks. I am currently volunteering every Thursday and Saturday so those days I am unavailable from 12-5 but after those times I am happy to take your dog/dogs out for a walk. I do not allow any dogs I am unfamiliar with into my own home, so I do not accept any dog sitting/boarding services in my own home for the safety of my own animals.

About: A few years ago, I had the pleasure of caring for my friend's energetic Labrador, Max, while she was out of town. It was my first time taking care of such an active dog, and I quickly realized just how much attention and exercise he needed. Each morning, we went on long walks, and it was amazing to see his excitement as he explored every new scent and spot along the way. He had a seemingly endless supply of energy, so I added a few games of fetch in the yard to keep him busy. Feeding time was another learning experience. I followed my friend's strict schedule and portion instructions, making sure Max had a balanced diet. At first, I worried that he was still hungry, but soon noticed that he was simply a fan of his food and loved the routine. By the end of the week, we had developed our little routines, and he had grown comfortable with me. Through this experience, I learned how fulfilling and challenging pet care can be. I realized it’s about more than just meeting physical needs; it’s about understanding an animal’s personality, energy levels, and emotional needs. The experience was a reminder of the joy that pets bring into our lives and the commitment needed to give them the care they deserve. Pet care becomes a natural part of the daily routine by creating consistent schedules for feeding, exercise, grooming, and bonding time. For example, each morning might start with a walk or play session to burn off some of their energy and give them mental stimulation. Feeding times are set to create a routine, which pets thrive on—it also helps to monitor their health, as changes in appetite can indicate health issues. Grooming might be a weekly task, where I check their coat, trim nails, or clean ears if needed. Beyond basic care, I find moments throughout the day to connect, whether it's quick training exercises, playing with their favorite toys, or just sitting together. These routines ensure that my pets feel cared for and help me stay attuned to any changes in their behavior or health. It may sound like a lot, but it quickly becomes second nature and is honestly one of the highlights of my day. When caring for pets at home I prioritise safety, trust, and a supportive environment for the pet. Building trust is key for a pet to feel safe and comfortable.
