Safety, trust & environment

I am offering walks with pick up and collection from your home, and also drop in care at your home. I inherited a cat who isn’t keen on dogs, or else I would probably have a house full of them! I prefer on-lead walks but can discuss off lead arrangements with you, as well as your preferred locations/parks.

Information Ceri M. would like to know about your pet

It will be important for me to know your preferred routes and desired length of walk (30 mins being standard), any instructions around snacks/behavioural incentives, water availability, anything that makes your dog nervous, how they are with other dogs, whether you are happy for them to remain on-lead or, if not, what precautions can be taken to ensure they will return to me and all is safe. Your dog’s safety and security is of the utmost importance to me.

A typical day

I have experience of very nervous dogs, elderly dogs, and high energy dogs. I am fit enough to give them a run (on lead) as needed and will take the time to bond with your dog to ensure they trust me and I understand what they respond to, and what they don’t like.

Pet care experience

I’ve loved caring for animals and especially dogs since I was tiny. We had a golden retriever and I then adopted a collie cross from Dogs Trust straight after finishing university. More recently I have been a dog walker for Cinnamon Trust, The National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets. When I first started working in Birmingham and still lived in Shropshire I relied on a dog sitter to give my dog a break in the daytime. Knowing she was being well cared for meant the world to me and I want to offer that same reliable, reassuring care to other dog owners. All dogs are unique and I pride myself on taking account of all instructions and giving them the care you know is best for your pet.

Ceri helped out at very short notice and maged to research the area. She turned up when agreed and took our dog on two lovely walks. Our dog Seamus seemed to have a lovely time in the photos taken on the walk and feedback from Ceri. She was a delight and I would definitely use her again.

Ceri was a fantastic dog walker for my young nervous Labrador - she was very reliable and conscientious, clearly experienced with dogs, and thoughtful about his needs. Great communication throughout. Would definitely book again.
