“Tia is reliable, trustworthy and has great communication! We recently booked Tia’s house sitting services for our rescue dog, who is very sweet but very wary of strangers and other animals. It’s quite tricky finding people that he can feel safe with. Tia was gentle and kind to him, giving him lots of space to bond with her over a period of walks and during her house siting. She was also very careful with him on walks, as he can be nervous of other dogs getting to close to him. During the house sitting Tia sent lots of photos and updates of her time with our dog and honestly, we felt we could finally relax and not worry about him as he had bonded with her and was happy to go on walks, eat his food and started to cuddle up next to her! Tia kept the house spotless, did some garden jobs and put the bins out. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter/walker and we are super grateful to have found someone like Tia. We will definitely be booking her again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Hollie has been absolutely exceptional in caring for our dog, Bear, who is an older dog and not quick to warm to new people. From the outset, Hollie showed genuine patience, kindness, and understanding, taking the time to build trust at Bear’s pace. Bear is currently on medication for arthritis, and Hollie managed this impeccably throughout the week, ensuring her routine was followed carefully. She adapted wonderfully to Bear’s needs, providing plenty of reassurance, gentle walks, and lots of affection, which made a huge difference to Bear’s comfort and confidence. Hollie stayed in our home for the week, and we returned to find it extremely well cared for—clean, tidy, and clearly respected. We were also kept regularly updated with photos and videos, which gave us complete peace of mind and allowed us to see the lovely bond developing between them as the week went on. We would not hesitate to recommend Hollie and will absolutely be booking her every time we need care for Bear in the future.”

About: I am looking for a job that fits me, I enjoy working with animals and have experience with care as I have grown up around dogs my whole life :) I do not currently have a job so pet care fits perfectly into my routine, available all day every day with plenty of time to spend with your dogs! I have a fenced garden with a pond, dogs would be monitored whenever outside. I do not have any crates in my home, or any pets of my own

“Jiahui was fantastic! Riley is a difficult dog, but she managed to become his friend very quickly. He had a great time with her. I got lots of updates, pictures, so I had a very good time as well, knowing that Riley is in such good hands. Thank you very much, Jiahui and Rover Looking forward to our next meeting!”

About: I’m a caring, friendly and reliable dog lover with a five-year-old Pomeranian of my own. Being a dog owner has taught me how important patience, attention and affection are, and I understand how reassuring it is to know your dog is safe, happy and well cared for. I’m available every day and can offer dog boarding, house sitting, doggy day care, walks and drop-in visits. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, quiet company or plenty of attention, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and loved. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine and any instructions you provide. I’ll treat every dog as if they were my own and make sure you receive regular updates while they’re in my care. I’m currently at home full-time, which gives me a very flexible routine and plenty of time to give dogs the care, attention and company they need. I already structure my day around caring for my five-year-old Pomeranian, including regular walks, feeding, playtime and lots of affection. I’m available for boarding throughout the week and on selected weekends. I can easily adapt my routine to suit your dog’s usual schedule, whether they need frequent walks, regular toilet breaks, playtime, cuddles or a calm place to relax. Dogs in my care will receive plenty of supervision and will not be left alone for long periods 🐾 I provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming home environment for every dog in my care. I have a large, fully fenced garden where dogs can enjoy supervised playtime, fresh air and regular toilet breaks. Inside, I have puppy pads available if needed, plenty of clean dog bowls and comfortable spaces for dogs to rest and relax. I keep both wet food and kibble at home, although I will always follow each owner’s feeding instructions and usual routine, including any dietary requirements or allergies. Fresh water will always be available, and dogs will receive plenty of attention, playtime, cuddles and supervision 🧡
“Shania stepped in during the course of our summer holiday, our usual sitter was only available for the first 10 days of our trip which left 4 to be covered. I feel taking over from someone else, on your first stay with a new dog more of a challenge than a normal sit, Shania met this with confidence and quality. We cannot thank Shania enough for her support, our dog Paisley is no easy dog she suffers with anxiety, is on medication and has a training program in place, all of which did not phase Shania. She communicated with us beautifully during the sit and we had a 6 hour time difference to consider but again met with ease. Upon returning home, Shania was there to greet us and hand back over, the bond that she had developed with Paisley was evident. HIGHLY RECCOMEND.”

“This is my second time booking with Cassie and she has been amazing again! She is reliable and trustworthy. Her communication was excellent and she sent me lots of pictures which was great. My cat is normally quite weary around strangers but I could tell he took a liking to her and felt comfortable around her. Will definitely book again, thanks Cassie!”

“Courtney was lovely, our three dogs warmed to her very well and they were well looked after. The only thing I'd say is we would of loved more pup dates as we are worriers. Thank you”

“First time we have used Rover and also using Courtney. I have to say Courtney was excellent, she sent photos of the dogs and let us know everything was ok. When we got home everything was clean and tidy and the dogs were happy and had obviously been well cared for. Can’t fault anything. Thanks Courtney”

“Our dog, Pip, had a fab time with Nichola and her son. She was clearly treated like a member of the family and had a wonderful time going out about about. We had lots of photos, videos and messages which meant any worries about the dog were quickly put to rest. Pip also adored Nicholas's garden (with particular emphasis on dive bombing one poor bush 😂). But nothing was a problem and Nichola is clearly very experienced with dogs and caring for them. We would absolutely book Pip in again!”

“Absolutely chuffed, Madga went above and beyond to keep my cats happy, fed and well looked after, She even stayed in the property as I was not comfortable yet leaving them alone overnight. I was given daily reports with tonnes of pictures/videos. I highly recommend this lady!! Thankyou so much again, I will defo be using you again! 🩷🩷🩷”

“This was Hannah's first time looking after our fur babies and she was amazing with our boys. She followed all instructions and beyond giving them all the care and love they could possibly have 🥰 lots of updates and pictures which I asked for and Hannah left our home just as clean as when we left. I already have repeat bookings for the future and can highly recommend Hannah for your fur babies too!”

Tia took such wonderful care of our home and our cat, the updates and photos of Win having a lovely time made it so much easier for us to enjoy our holiday! I would 100% recommend Tia, and will be booking her in the future if she is willing to watch our high maintenance diva again! 🥰

Jade was fantastic from start to finish. She was warm, friendly and clearly passionate about dogs, which made us feel completely at ease leaving Lexi in her care. We received regular updates throughout the day with photos, and every one of Lexi's care instructions was followed perfectly. It was also lovely to see how quickly Jade built a bond with Lexi, who was clearly happy and comfortable with her. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jade to anyone looking for a reliable, caring and professional pet sitter. Thank you again for taking such great care of Lexi!

Jayde was brilliant with my dogs. We are really careful who sits our dogs, one of ours is a giant over excited dog and the other is very old with Dementia. We got regular updates and upon coming home both dogs are happy. That means everything to us. The house was left in great condition too which is a bonus. You would be lucky to have Jayde dog sit for you, she is calm and very capable with difficult situations such a dog with dementia crying at night. Highly recommend. Really gave us peace of mind and we will rebook.

I was really nervous about finding someone to look after my 4 month old puppy for the day, Ann was so lovely and I really appreciated the meet and greet beforehand. My little pup was looked after so well and the photos and updates throughout the day made me feel at ease. I'm so pleased I found Ann, I immediately rebooked her again. Highly recommend.

Thank you so much! I couldn't have asked for more from a dog sitter for Bear! From our initial introduction you were so friendly and I instantly felt at ease. You have so much knowledge after working with animals for so long and I can tell this is your passion! Bear absolutely loved his stay with you, and he was kept well entertained throughout the day. I really appreciated you updating me throughout the day, especially the photos and videos. Already planning our next stay with you for Bear and I know he will have lots more with you. I can't thank you enough for everything!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Nuneaton walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Nuneaton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
