“Tia was an amazing pet sitter for our cat, Gigi, and our dog, Buster! She took the time to meet with us a week beforehand to go over their schedules and learn about their needs, which really showed her attention to detail and dedication. She arrived on time, walked Buster multiple times, and sent us regular photo updates, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Not only did she take wonderful care of our pets, but she also went above and beyond—taking out the bins, keeping the house tidy, and being incredibly respectful of our home. Tia is kind, reliable, and truly cares about the animals she looks after. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be booking her again in the future! Highly recommend! Highly recommend Tia and she will our first choice to book again!”

“Shania is a wonderful pet sitter who took excellent care of our sprocker. Right off the bat when we first met her we got an excellent first impression. She is very warm and friendly and was great with him. When we came home after our few days away he was relaxed and happy and so were we. Would highly recommend Shania.”

I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved whilst in my care :) As an emergency service worker, my schedule can vary week to week, but I keep my availability updated regularly and will always communicate clearly about booking times. I’ll do my best to accommodate requests whenever possible. All pets in my care will always be supervised and feel safe with me. I’ll make sure they have plenty of exercise, playtime, fresh water, toilet breaks, and attention, while also respecting their own routines and comfort levels. I have a fur baby of my own, he is super friendly and happy to socialise with other dogs if applicable. I’ve grown up with pets all my life and am aware how to respond to each individuals needs. I am also DBS checked through my work.

About: I have many years of experience caring for pets, both my own and those of family and friends. I have owned cats and dogs in the past, giving me valuable hands-on experience with pets of different ages, temperaments, breeds, and care requirements. Through owning and caring for animals, I have gained experience with feeding routines, administering medication and basic care, daily exercise, grooming, playtime, and providing companionship. I understand how important it is to maintain a pet’s routine and ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. As an animal lover, I enjoy spending time with pets and getting to know their individual personalities. I am reliable, patient, and attentive to their needs, whether that means taking energetic dogs on long walks, providing mental stimulation and playtime, or offering calm and gentle care for cats and older pets. My flexible work-from-home schedule allows me to dedicate plenty of time, attention, and supervision to the pets in my care, ensuring they receive the love, exercise, and companionship they deserve throughout their stay. I work from home, which allows me to provide pets with plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I have the flexibility to take dogs on regular walks and ensure cats are well looked after. As I drive, I can easily travel to check on pets multiple times a day, making sure they are comfortable, fed, exercised, and receiving the care they need. I am an experienced and caring pet lover who can provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for your pets while you are away. I have a secure home with a garden where dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor time, play, and exercise. I am happy to care for both large and small dogs, as well as cats, and I can accommodate multiple pets at the same time, provided they are comfortable around other animals. I understand that every pet has its own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to ensure they feel relaxed and well cared for. I am confident administering medications when required and can follow specific feeding schedules, exercise routines, and care instructions. Whether your pet needs extra attention, regular walks, playtime, or a quiet place to rest, I will make sure they receive the care and companionship they deserve. My priority is to provide a loving home-from-home experience where pets feel safe, happy, and well looked after throughout their stay.
“So incredibly happy with the service I received! This was my first time leaving my dog with anyone and Nichola was amazing! My baby was treated so well and I had regular updates. I will be using again! I’m so happy! 💙”

“I booked Jiahui for house sitting with Cookie, and she was absolutely brilliant. She came over for a meet & greet beforehand, which immediately made me feel at ease and confident leaving Cookie with her. While I was away, she kept me updated regularly with photos of Cookie looking happy and relaxed. She followed all the care instructions perfectly, including feeding times, walks, and everything else. When I came home, Cookie was clearly well cared for, and the house was spotless — which honestly says it all. Jiahui is clearly very experienced with dogs and extremely responsible. Communication was smooth throughout, and I felt completely comfortable knowing Cookie was in good hands. I would definitely book her again.”

“Courtney was lovely, our three dogs warmed to her very well and they were well looked after. The only thing I'd say is we would of loved more pup dates as we are worriers. Thank you”

“Hollie has been absolutely exceptional in caring for our dog, Bear, who is an older dog and not quick to warm to new people. From the outset, Hollie showed genuine patience, kindness, and understanding, taking the time to build trust at Bear’s pace. Bear is currently on medication for arthritis, and Hollie managed this impeccably throughout the week, ensuring her routine was followed carefully. She adapted wonderfully to Bear’s needs, providing plenty of reassurance, gentle walks, and lots of affection, which made a huge difference to Bear’s comfort and confidence. Hollie stayed in our home for the week, and we returned to find it extremely well cared for—clean, tidy, and clearly respected. We were also kept regularly updated with photos and videos, which gave us complete peace of mind and allowed us to see the lovely bond developing between them as the week went on. We would not hesitate to recommend Hollie and will absolutely be booking her every time we need care for Bear in the future.”

About: I’ve taken care of family members dogs, made sure to give them plenty of attention and track their toileting habits to make sure they’re as comfortable as they can be with me I work from home 4 out of 5 days in a week and am routinely at home during weekends. I live in a detached house close to woodland and public fields which are great for dog walks! My fiancé, Elliott and I are both dog people - while we wait for the right time to become dog parents, we want to provide temporary care for dogs in our area. I have evenings and weekends free mostly to be able to take care of pets on a longer basis. In the week I work from home on the computer roughly 9-5 with an hour lunch to take dogs for walks and play with them and be attentive for toilet breaks and feeding throughout the day. I am typically in the office one day per week and this can be either a Monday or a Wednesday, with some advance notice I may be able to make arrangements to cover care on this day if needed for holiday stays. Start a conversation and we can find a suitable arrangement together! The garden has 6 foot fences with a lockable gate to the side. There is ample lawn and concrete slabs for toileting and playing. There is a large long living room with dual access and patio doors for direct garden access, as well as a back door from the utility to the garden. There is plenty of roaming space for your pets.

She also got him some treats! I highly recommend Divya to anyone looking for a responsible and loving dog sitter.”

I’m very particular, and despite this they were respectful of my home, my cat’s space and needs etc. They had great communication, and so patient throughout. True professionals. I would definitely book them again.”

She followed all instructions and beyond giving them all the care and love they could possibly have 🥰 lots of updates and pictures which I asked for and Hannah left our home just as clean as when we left. I already have repeat bookings for the future and can highly recommend Hannah for your fur babies too!”

“First time we have used Rover and also using Courtney. I have to say Courtney was excellent, she sent photos of the dogs and let us know everything was ok. I was very happy with Tia. She looked after my dog and cat for a weekend. My dog is very nervous around new people but Tia quickly made him feel comfortable. I got regular updates and communication from Tia and she treated my home with respect. Thoroughly impressed, I would 💯 invite Tia back if I needed her in the future

Jayde was brilliant with my dogs. We are really careful who sits our dogs, one of ours is a giant over excited dog and the other is very old with Dementia. We got regular updates and upon coming home both dogs are happy. That means everything to us. The house was left in great condition too which is a bonus. You would be lucky to have Jayde dog sit for you, she is calm and very capable with difficult situations such a dog with dementia crying at night. Highly recommend. Really gave us peace of mind and we will rebook.

I was really nervous about finding someone to look after my 4 month old puppy for the day, Ann was so lovely and I really appreciated the meet and greet beforehand. My little pup was looked after so well and the photos and updates throughout the day made me feel at ease. I'm so pleased I found Ann, I immediately rebooked her again. Highly recommend.

Thank you so much! I couldn't have asked for more from a dog sitter for Bear! From our initial introduction you were so friendly and I instantly felt at ease. You have so much knowledge after working with animals for so long and I can tell this is your passion! Bear absolutely loved his stay with you, and he was kept well entertained throughout the day. I really appreciated you updating me throughout the day, especially the photos and videos. Already planning our next stay with you for Bear and I know he will have lots more with you. I can't thank you enough for everything!

Amazing! Sophie stayed overnight with my puppy, Flora. My partner and I were so pleased with her care for Flora and the updates she provided. Lovely, friendly person, who was brilliant with my dog. Took her on walks and kept to our schedule for feeding etc. Thank you so much! - can’t wait to book in again

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Nuneaton walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Nuneaton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
