“First time we left our dog with Leanne and her family but it all went smoothly. Monty was so well looked after and made a complete fuss of! Leanne updated us the whole time we were away which made us feel at ease and able to enjoy our holiday. We've already booked again for our next weekend away.”

“Bethany was absolutely brilliant with my very needy dog . Nothing was any trouble and bethany went over and above to reassure me with constant pictures and updates throughout his stay. Would highly recommend bethany. Very warm , caring and trustworthy”

“Rhys was brilliant. Fast to respond, accommodating to Hugo’s needs. Not phased by having such a big dog with so much energy. I received multiple video updates. He understood our needs with Hugo’s separation anxiety, would recommend 100% Thank you!”

“Lauren was great with Gigi! It was her first stay, and Lauren immediately put us at ease as she is clearly experienced with dogs. She kept us updated with photos and updates over the weekend and was very generous with our girl. We’ll definitely be back 🥰”

“Excellent pet sitter! Lucy accepted my last minute request to take care of my boy and she was lovely, she took exceptional care of him, sent pictures and updates and overall was easy to communicate with. I definitely recommend.”

About: I have taken care of my rescue dogs for the past 6 years. Previously, I was a dog sitter. I work from home with my wife, so your dogs will always enjoy plenty of company and won’t be left alone. I own a house with a garden so there will be plenty of space. I love walking and playing with dogs so they can get enough exercise. I am flexible, as I know every dog is has different needs. I work from home so my schedule is flexible. My wife also works from home, so I have additional support, if needed. Therefore, I can adapt to any dogs routine. I provide a safe, loving home environment. I have a spacious fenced garden where dogs can play and relax. As I work from home, your dogs will have plenty of companionship, supervision and attention throughout the day. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone else, so I’ll care for them as if they were my own and keep you updated with regular photos and messages for complete piece of mind.

About: I used to have my own dog which unfortunately passed away due to old age. I started dog sitting for a friend then ive made contacts whilst out dog walking. Everyone is happy especially the dogs I absolutely love it I look after a 94 year old dog lover and will take the dog/s with me. The dog will be out and about with me all day long I have a secure fenced garden with a gate that my neighbours open when they are home as they love dogs as much as I do and the dog/s can roam freely between the gardens. We both had dogs before which passed away due to old age. Circumstances hasn't allowed me to have another dog, which now i dont mind as i have the best of both worlds.
“Andrea was an incredible dog sitter, very responsive and generous. We received a daily update with photos and the occasional video while away and saw that Dottie went on lots of walks, had picnics in the park when the weather was nice, and received lots of cuddle and play time. I would highly recommend Andrea and would hire her again in a heartbeat.”

“Milo has had the best week staying with Jess and her lovely dog Bruce. Jess was so welcoming and we met before he was due to stay which helped put me at ease. Jess asked lots of questions about Milo so that she could make his stay comfortable for him and stress free as possible. I didn't have to worry leaving him with her as he had the time of his life going on long walks, playing ball with Bruce and having plenty of cuddles with the humans too! He's still exhausted now from all the fun he's had! Jess sent me lots of photos of Milo whilst I was away and kept me updated with what he had been up to. I honestly got so lucky finding Jess and I wouldn't hesitate in using her boarding services for Milo again - infact I think Milo is waiting for me to book another holiday so he can go and visit again!!”

“Georgia was wonderful taking care of chumbo, she sent regular updates, whenever she had a question about chumbo, she asked, which was essential for him to feel safe, happy and at home with her.”

“Richie was well looked after by Sophie and Adam and can definitely tell he had a great time! I was kept up to date with lots of photos and updates throughout the day, would highly recommend and would definitely book with them again!”

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was born. I have always grown up with beagles in my house and my grandparents have had Scotties. I have previously volunteered as a dog walker for the RSPCA. My previous dog passed away at the age of 15 and had epilepsy so I have a little experience with senior dogs and medicating. I have an 18 month old unneutered beagle at home who is very sociable. I work from home apart from a Wednesday so your dog won’t be left alone. I work from home apart from Wednesdays so I can take as many bathroom breaks as needed. I walk Sammy once or twice a day depending on his energy levels. Sometimes a short walk in the morning to settle ready for a longer walk in the afternoon after work. I tend to finish around 4:00. I am mostly available on weekends once the ice hockey season finishes. I have 7ft fenced secure garden and my own 18 month old beagle called Sam. I back on to the railway line so I have a good length of grass. He is very sociable and playful. Dogs are allowed on the furniture but must be toilet trained. More than happy to have a meeting prior to bookings.

“Pip and Winnie had a lovely stay with Ewa and her girls. Would recommend 👌 exceptional service. Went above and beyond to give my girls the best stay. Kept me informed throughout their stay. Unfortunately Pip had a hot spot, but Ewa took her to the Vets, to get treatment. Cant thank her enough. Which put my mind at rest, while I was away. I will be booking again, for any further holiday. As I know my girls will be looked after as a family pet. Thanks 😊”

“Charlotte and her family have been fantastic with Filippo today. He paid a pre visit a few days ago before he stayed all day today. He has had a fantastic stay and he has been happy all day. We are so grateful for the love he has received and can’t wait for him to have the chance to stay there again. Thank you ?”

About: I’ve always had pets from a very young age and now being an adult I’ve had two cats and a new puppy that I’ve trained from 8 weeks old. I’m new to pet sitting but I’m very capable and knowledgeable with dogs and cats from all ages. I work part time on a fairly flexible schedule and would be available Friday to Sunday most weeks. I am an early bird and would happily be able to take care of pets in the early mornings to help out with busy morning routines. I have a large garden secured with 6 foot walls, with a spacious lawn. Lots of room inside if any pets need some space to themselves and a young Whippet girl to play with.

“This was the first time we'd left our cockapoo anywhere overnight so we were a bit nervous. We were immediately put at ease, and kept updated with pictures and messages of what he was doing, we even got a good night picture from him! We have booked him in for a longer stay in the summer and now October as well. Very happy with the service now confident to leave him with Lisa P in the future.”

“My 7m old German shepherd with Annnie for 4nighte, she was amazing. My dog was well looked after I had regular updates with videos and pictures. He seemed really happy with her. Highly recommend!!”

“Jaimee was fab with my boy 🐶🥰 kept me updated with how he was getting on with messages and videos. Jaimee is a genuine dog lover and showed Capone lots of love and cuddles just what he needs! Will definitely be booking in with Jamiee again.”

We had a fantastic experience with Dominika looking after our dog, Otis, while we were away on holiday for 14 days. She kept us updated every 1–2 days, which gave us great peace of mind, and it was lovely to see how happy and settled Otis looked in every update. We were extremely pleased with the service and felt completely confident that Otis was in safe and caring hands. We would definitely recommend Dominika and would happily use her again in the future. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Otis!

Chester has stayed with Lisa several times over the last few years while we are away. He is always well looked after and seems to enjoy his visits now on the canal boat. You can tell Lisa and her partner are dog lovers, I also receive a daily update while he is on their care.

Ruoxi had our boy Milo for 10 days whilst we were away on holiday, and he had the best time! We have never used a dog sitter before so we were really nervous/worried but Ruoxi was amazing with our baby, regular updates with photos/videos -especially during the heat the UK had and being a french bulldog! We did not worry once as we knew he was before very well looked after and loved so we could enjoy our holiday! Thank you Ruoxi we will be back again! X

This was our first time using a dog boarding service and we were very happy with the service provided by Piotr and Domenika. Both were very keen to understand the habits of our dog, particularly focusing on feeding, walking and sleep patterns. They answered all our questions clearly and were very reassuring that everything was going to be OK during Lola's visit. Piotr and Domenika do not own a dog themselves but are very experienced with dogs. We saw this as an advantage as it meant our dog would get their full attention, and there wouldn't be any rivalry between other dogs in the house. They only keep one dog at a time, so this was perfect for us. They sent pictures and updates via the app giving further reassurance, and Lola was delighted to see us when we collected her, but we know she had a great time staying with this lovely Polish family. We wholeheartedly recommend this boarder and will gladly use them again for our next holiday.

Leanne was amazing! We had a work trip scheduled which lasted a few days and needed someone to look after our dog for us. From the first time we met Leanne, her family and their dog Tilly, everything was super friendly and she made us feel at ease. She answered all of our questions confidently and provided wonderful updates throughout. I cannot recommend her enough and we will definitely be using her services again in the future!

Willow has had a three day stay with Tia and has come home happy and content. Tia sent me regular updates and pictures. Looks like willow had a great time . Would highly recommend her and I will be definitely using her service again knowing Willow is being looked after in safe hands.

Ann and Brendan were just fantastic,I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough (in fact I have)…Requested a meet and greet to make sure both ourselves and the dogs felt comfortable and then easy communication to set up the stay. The stay started in a less than favourable manner due to one of our dogs being a little under the weather (so embarrassed) but the patience and understanding from the both of them showed just how dedicated and wonderful they both are to the care of your fur babies…regular updates and videos during the stay, and plenty of activities with the dogs. Thank you so much both We will definitely be using them again….If they allow us 🤣

Georgia has been absolutely brilliant with our dog. She sent us daily updates and photos and it was clear from day one that our dog was in very good hands and enjoyed staying with Georgia. We would definitely recommend her and will book with her again for our next trip.
I had a fabulous three-day break knowing my Teddy was in good hands with Rebecca. The bonus being Teddy had company for the weekend alongside Emi, Rebecca's dog. Rebecca sent me lots of wonderful photographs of Teddy enjoying himself and regardless of his deafness, I could tell he was settled. Thank you so much. Five star rating.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
