I am a full time dog sitter, therefore my whole day consists of dogs. No dogs are left together unattended. Dogs will only be left alone if I have to run a couple of errands, this would never be longer than 1 hour.

Reviews

Unfortunately, when collecting Chester, my husband was informed that he had recently had an accident on his bed. Chester is 12 years old and has never had an accident in our home or during any of the numerous stays he has had with other Rover sitters. He is also a rescue dog, and even during the stress of being rehomed five years ago, he never had accidents indoors. When my husband collected Chester’s bed, it was completely soaked with urine. Lauren explained that the accident must have happened that day and that she had not had time to clean it. However, it was evident from the condition of the bed that there had been more than one incident. She also stated that she cannot control if a dog has an accident. I contacted Lauren to express my concern and ask what had happened. Her response was that “dogs have accidents – they are dogs after all.” She also explained that there can be many reasons why dogs have accidents. As a professional dog trainer, I fully understand that accidents can occur and that there may be underlying reasons for them. My concern is not simply that an accident happened, but that Chester’s bed was returned completely soaked with urine. Given that Chester has no history of indoor accidents, this raises concerns about whether he was being let out frequently enough or whether another dog may have urinated on his bed. The condition of the bed suggests that this was not an isolated incident, and I am concerned about what this indicates regarding the care and supervision provided during his stay. Lauren did offer to purchase a replacement bed and send it to me, but I was not comfortable sharing my home address. She also stated that I was not entitled to a refund and that she intended to contact Rover regarding this matter. To be clear, I am not seeking a refund. What I want is an explanation of the level of care Chester received during his 10-day stay, given that his bed was returned in such a heavily soiled condition. I would like to add that Rover has been incredibly supportive and helpful since I raised this issue with them. For anyone seeking a sitter in the area, I would highly recommend Rhys, who can also be found on Rover. I have used his services on numerous occasions and have always been extremely satisfied with the care provided. Going forward, I will not use anyone else.

First time user Rover and Lauren couldn’t have been more of a success story. Our boy stayed with her for 3 nights and looked so happy in the photos. She kept us updated with photos and chat about how he was. Thank you so much xx

I'm from Belgium and came to the UK on holiday and at the last minute, I needed someone to stay with my dog the whole day and Lauren was available immediately! She was great as she sent me updates and always answered super quickly. My dog returned to me happy and tired which means he had fun and spent a good time with Lauren and her dog! Highly recommend ☺️

Rocco loved going! Felt so comfortable with him staying! Have booked again for all the times I need! Highly recommended! Xx
