“I booked Chloe at short notice after another arrangement fell through, and from her first message I knew Yoji would be in safe hands as she asked all the right questions. I received regular photos and videos, and came home to a very happy, tired pup. I’d happily book with Chloe again.”

About: I've always loved dogs! We lost our beloved dog Henry at Christmas and my home feels a little quiet. I would love to care for your furry friend. I will ensure they get plenty of fresh air as I live opposite a green space, centrally located with lots of choice of parks to visit for playtime. Offering countless cuddles and the dedicated attention they deserve when they're away. I have a flexible work schedule and can work from home. I have support of my adult daughter, between us we are fully committed to a dog's needs. I have a bright, airy apartment with a large green space on our doorstep. I am used to taking a dog out regularly as part of my daily routine. A secure environment and safe space is essential when caring for dogs. I am more than happy to set up a crate if it is part of your dog's routine. My priority is to ensure your dog feels at ease, cared for and loved.
“Ozzy seemed to enjoy himself. Communication was easy with messages sent with photos of Ozzys outings and activities. Carole met us before the visit to see if it was a suitable match for both parties and it worked out great for us. I would definitely use Carole again and recommend her to others, she is friendly and accommodating the location for us great”

“Ka Lim is a fantastic communicator and was very responsive to all my messages. She also did a great job with keeping us updated during our pup's overnight stay with pictures and messages From the looks of it, our pup had a fantastic time. Highly recommend!”

“Martine & Alex looked after our precious pooch Baxter whilst we had a long weekend away abroad. We had a little meet up beforehand so he was familiar with where he was going to be staying - so that gave us peace of mind. Martine and Alex looked after him very well for us and enjoyed having him (he’s an angel dog 😜). We received regular updates and communication was good 👍/photos etc . We will definitely ask them to have Baxter another time . Would highly recommend . Thank you 🙏”

“Would highly recommend, Luisa stepped in at short notice, responded incredibly quickly, and immediately put our minds at ease when we needed a dog sitter. Luisa kept in regular contact and sent updates, which we really appreciated. It was clear our puppy was being well cared for, getting plenty of attention, and was very happy in their care. We’re so grateful for the kindness, reliability, and genuine care they showed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter!”

“Becky and her family looked after Ozzie so well - he seemed to love being with them. Great communication from Becky and we are happy to leave Ozzie with her gain - thanks so much!”

“Thank you Jackie for looking after Vinnie, he had a lovely stay and you looked after him especially as he was very anxious the first night away from us in a while. Would definitely recommend, we felt relaxed and at ease knowing he was being looked after with regular pictures and updates over the 3 days. :)”

“Archie was very well looked after and i would be more than happy to leave Archie with Paul and his family again. I recieved an update advising me that Archie had settled in well which was very appreciated too.”

“Sooraj and Sweta were absolutely amazing with our boy Sid. We met with them a couple of times before they had him and they immediately got along. Sid is almost fully deaf and can’t be left alone so we struggle to find people to have him. They made him feel so comfortable and we could tell this when we picked him up. Highly Recommend”

About: We have had our own dogs for many years but struggle with the loss ongoing with our elderly dog so giving back after a week or so will make it easier for us but still get the enjoyment of having dogs to pet and take care of like our own I work full time days and nights and my wife is home most of the day I work shifts so can be home 3 days in the week and some weekends etc, most days my wife is gone no more than 3 hrs through the day. we have had dogs over 33 years but cannot deal with the loss very well so going to give caring and returning a try and share some love at the same time We will make sure your pet is well looked after, we have a flap in the conservatory window so the dogs can get into the garden which is fenced off both sides, we live in a cul de sac so no main road to worry about, if we go out we leave plenty of water and food down or take them with us dependant on where we are going. The dog will be well looked after and can send pics daily if away on holiday etc
About: I used to have a Labrador retriever also. If you have middle sized dog and can’t find any pet sitter in the area, please contact me. I am currently working full-time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your dog in weekends. I am available for boarding at weekends, and for dog walking after/around 5:30pm if it is local. I may consider weekday boarding also if must, but I need to get to know your dog first to be sure. I have a fenced garden and a very friendly small dog (Shih Tzu cross, 5 years old girl) who would love to play with your dog. I will make sure to be at home when you drop off your dog after 17:30pm on Fridays, and the same time for Saturdays although this can be negotiable especially for Saturdays.
“Max looked after our girl who is not confident around new people & takes her time to come round for the weekend for us (Fri-Sun). We explained everything when we had the initial meeting & he could see how wary & uncertain she was. I think by the time we came to collect her she was probably starting to relax a bit more with Max typically but he did manage to get her out for walks after her initially refusing for him to put the lead on! Max was quick to respond to messages & we received a couple of photos showing her relaxing. And when she came home she went straight to sleep on the sofa so she was definitely worn out. Thanks again.”

“Amelia’s took Rudy for NYE at short notice and her communication prior to booking was great, with Amelia asking questions to determine how best to care for him (if Rudy was fine with fireworks, would need a long walk etc). Amelia sent lots of updates showing Rudy having a fab time with her pup Nugget and lots of cuddles! Thank you Amelia! We would definitely book again and recommend.”

Raz took a brilliant care of my Spaniel, especially as it turned out to be during the heatwave so wasn't an easy task. My dog seemed very happy and sounded like had a great time with the whole family, and my mind was kept at ease by updates during the day I got from Raz. Definitely recommend and will reach out again when I need help with my dog another time :)

This is the third time my dashy has stayed with Jackie and Rob, he always has the best time I would never go anywhere else. I know he is looked after like he’s their own, he gets lots of love, attention and walkies. Daily updates and pics which gives me that extra peace of mind aswell as catering for his many allergies; thankyou as always!

Chloe has been an amazing dog sitter for our Cavapoo Harvey. From first contact when enquiring about availability to picking Harvey up after his holiday, Chloe has been great - quick to respond, very clear in all her communication and most importantly extremely attentive, caring and thoughtful when looking after Harvey. During his stay we received regular updates with gorgeous photos and videos from Harvey’s adventures. Chloe took him on fantastic walks and made sure that Harvey was a very happy boy. He had the best time with Chloe (and her mum and dog friend Winnie). I can’t recommend Chloe enough and will definitely book with her again. A true home away from home for doggies ❤️

Kate and Matt were awesome with our dog, Finley! We had a nice meet and greet at the park before they took care of him while we were away for the weekend. Kate sent us updates and pics, and they even took Finley on a cool adventure. I totally recommend her! Thank you

Jenny was very friendly, her locations time away is close to great areas to take dogs for walks. She was flexible with the timings as a last minute change happened. she followed the instructions left and my dog was very at home for the duration of his stay. She kept in touch with photos of the dog during the time of his stay putting at minds at ease to enjoy our time away from the dog. I highly recommend Jenny and would be happy for her to look after my dog again. Thanks Jenny.
Iryna looked after Frank so well, especially at ridiculously short notice! She was so lovely and I’m incredibly grateful she was able to have him so last minute. The photos and updates throughout the weekend were brilliant and it looked like Frank had such great fun. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. Would definitely use Iryna again and highly recommend her!

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
