Former dog owners with enclosed garden
We owned a guide dog who didn’t quite make the grade for about 10 years while the children were growing up. He was a lovely addition to our family, but we cannot commit to full time dog ownership, although we all love having a dog in the house.

We have used Paul twice now, our golden Doodle Blue settled in straight away & raced to the door on his 2nd visit. Paul keeps us updated on request and has been very flexible, thank you!
Paul and his wife looked after my German shepherd for 1 night whist we visited friends. We had regular updates and photos and were reassured that our dog was in safe hands. Would highly recommend.
Amazing as always
Paul and his families were kind, friendly and very professional with dogs. We could tell that Bella had a great holiday with Paul. We were so grateful to have Paul for little Bella while we were away🙏👍👏
Flash settled well, first time of leaving him so was a bit nervous, but seemed happy when I collected him,
Paul was great looking after Jen for a long weekend. We met the week before to make sure everyone was comfortable.

Schedule
There are 3 adults in the home (my wife and I and my adult son). Our names are Paul Aveyard, Helen Aveyard, and Ed Aveyard. We work from home and can look after dogs during the week and at the weekend. As a result, there is usually one of us in the house at all times and we are able to give good quality care to dogs.

Safety, trust & environment
We would be happy to have a dog join us in our activities. We live in a housing estate with a large fenced green and there are lots of dogs walked on the green on the estate, which is surrounded by a fence too. It was a great place for our dog, and I hope it would be the same for yours.
A typical day
We will enjoy a walk. My wife and I usually work from home so are around. At the weekend, we are out and about and would love to have a dog with us. We all love playing with dogs and happy to throw balls on the green.

- Our dog gradually lost mobility and we catered for him until he was in pain. Let us know if your dog has special needs and we will aim to meet them. I am a doctor and comfortable with administering medical treatments.
