“Astrid made our dog, Snoopy feel very at home - going the extra mile on his birthday with special birthday cookies and a little pressie! You treated Snoopy like he’s your own and he loved every second with you. Thank you very much!”

“Richie was well looked after by Sophie and Adam and can definitely tell he had a great time! I was kept up to date with lots of photos and updates throughout the day, would highly recommend and would definitely book with them again!”

“We recently left our dog Charlie in Colin’s care for two nights, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. We were specifically looking for someone who offers one-to-one care, and Colin was absolutely perfect. From the very beginning, he was professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about looking after dogs. Knowing our dog would receive individual attention rather than being in a group setting made a huge difference to us. Colin kept us updated throughout the stay with messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. It was clear Charlie was not only well looked after but also happy, relaxed, and getting plenty of attention and care. When we picked Charlie up, he was calm, content, and clearly had been treated like part of the family. It’s such a relief to know we have someone we can fully trust. We’re so impressed that Charlie is already booked in for another stay during our next holiday, which says it all! We would highly recommend Colin’s dog boarding service to anyone looking for a safe, caring, one-to-one, and reliable place for their pet. We’ll definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Chewie had a fantastic stay with Tyson and his humans again. Thank you so much to Meg and Chandra for all the photos and for making Chewie feel so at home. Hope he’ll be back for another holiday at your house soon.”

“Naty kindly hosted my cat for multiple weeks (last second) after a pre-booked sitter cancelled while I was on holiday!! , she kept me updated daily and treated my cat like her own, I will definitely be booking her again she was amazing with the level of care and understanding my worry towards my cat, can’t recommend her enough ❤️❤️❤️”

“Natalia looked after my golden retriever Milo so well she was very calm with him and he settled really well and had lots of fun with her dog Nala. I really appreciated the regular updates and photos during his stay and Natalia was very quick to respond to queries and flexible and understanding when my train was delayed on the way back. I would definitely recommend Natalia and I’m sure Milo will be very much looking forward to his next trip!”

“Another great holiday for Tashi. She has the best time when with Eri and her family. We're always kept up to date with tons of photos and videos of their adventures together. Thank you for taking such great care of her ❤️”

“Gemma and Will were absolutely incredible. So much so that I thought Hammy wouldn’t want to come home! From the initial message the communication was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and the regular updates were so lovely to receive. He returned well loved and happy. We wouldn't hesitate to leave Hammy with them again. Thank you for having him!”

“Chewie loved his stay with Katie. It was clear Katie was very confident with him, and he immediately seemed chilled and at home. Katie was great with communication before and during Chewie’s stay and we will definitely look to use her for dog-sitting again. Thank you 😊”

“Wala and Tony took excellent care of our dog Mina. We received regular updates and photos throughout her stay and felt at ease that she was in a safe and nurturing home. Trustworthy, caring and thoughtful, we would highly recommend Wala and Tony, and have already booked in another stay!”

“Sharon and the family were brilliant. We have two rescues, one of which is very shy and quite strange, and they were all fantastic with them both! Could totally tell they were both just happy and relaxed, and really enjoyed their time with the family. They will definitely be coming back to stay!”

About: I love my dogs more than life. I really believe these are not just pets, but family members and thus I know how heartbreaking it is when you have to leave your dog alone even for a quick run to the store. We would like to help your dog with not feeling alone. I am a dog mom of 2 miniature dachshunds and I know how horrible separation anxiety is, thus I would like to give your dog the possibility to ease the feeling. I do not leave my dogs alone, thus I am taking dog care extremely important. I am working hybrid. I will only offer daycare or boarding on days I am home with my own dogs. My dogs are very friendly and very playful. But an initial meeting is required to make sure everyone is happy. I go on 2 long walks daily out to exhaust them. We have plenty of toys and enjoy some cuddles as well as playtime together. I live in a house with a fenced garden and I installed a doggy door, so my dogs have access to it 24/7. As I have dachshunds, we have plenty of ramps and doggy steps to ensure their backs are protected. My dogs are fully vaccinated including kennel cough.
“Cannot recommend Jane and her family enough! Peppa was quite happy and confortable as she was at home. They were kind, easy to communicate, I got photos/updates and all the food/medicines was administrated as requested. See you next time! Thank you.”

About: I’ve had dogs around me since a child from puppies to rescue dogs. I’m reliable and trustworthy and will give your dog the same level of care that you give them at home. I’m currently working part time so I have lots of time to play with and care for your dog. I'm available mostly in the week to take for walks and board and can be flexible with weekends. I have a fenced small garden so your pet is safe, there is also lots of parks and open land locally to take your dog for fun walks. There is also space for crates if your dog requires it.
The median cost per night for dog boarding in Rugby is £32

Nataly is a wonderful kind and caring person who looked after our dog Riley as though he was her own. We had numerous photo's and videos of Riley on a daily basis and we could tell from them that Riley was well looked after. We would fully recommend Nataly as a house sitter for you to care and look after your animal(s). We have found a new friend in Nataly and wish her all the best for the future. We have used dog sitters regularly and Nataly is OUTSTANDING. we would highly recommend her and will always ask her first when we need another sit

Eri, you’re fantastic. You kept us up to date with our dog, Boomer and made sure he was well looked after, cuddled and loved. Will most definitely be using you again if we ever need him to go and stay somewhere. Thank you so much for taking very good care of him for us. Every day there was constant communication to let me know how he was, how he slept, how he behaved and what he was up to. This was my first time using someone outside of the family and I’m so appreciative of Eri, her Husband and her dog Boo, the little cutie. Honestly, thank you so so much ❤️

Laura was very friendly and communicated from start to finish really well. It was a real help being able to meet Laura before hand as we had never had a dog sitter before. Lola was made to feel welcome at their home and settled in straight away, thank you for making the process so easy Lola had a great time.

Woody and Sushi had a wonderful 10-day with Jessica and Olly - I will be using them again in the future, and highly recommend them. They were incredibly flexible to take them on when my planned sitter failed me a couple of days before my overseas trip. They were quick to respond and arrange a M&G to finalise details. The stay was as if they were heat home, felt very relaxed and loved their stay.

Katie has looked after our dog Oakley for a second time and we couldn't be more grateful to have found a wonderful sitter for him. He is looked after so well and Katie really cares for him so we feel that we can rest easy knowing he is in safe hands. I am certain Oakley absolutely loves staying with Katie and her family and doesn't want to go home at the end of his stay!

Great first overnight experience for Woody with Orla. Meg and Rhys kept us updated on how he was getting on throughout his stay and he had a brilliant time. I was slightly apprehensive as he has never spent so much time with another dog and I wasn't sure how he would behave but it looks like he has a new best friend. I think it has been really good for him. Look forward to the next stay.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
