About: I have been around animals all my life and was lucky enough to grow up with dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and hamsters- to name a few. I am a very loving, relaxed and laidback pet owner and love being around animals. I happily share my sofa and bed with my pets, so if that is something your dog would like, they would feel right at home when staying with me. My dog Oscar is a friendly and playful British bulldog and I also have 2 x 10 year old cats so any dog visiting would have friends to play with. I also have experience looking after puppies as well as older dogs. I work 4 long day a week but am free over the weekends to look after your dog. I generally walk Oscar once a day for an hour but sometimes he gets an additional half hour walk as well so can easily offer this for your dog. I have a large enclosed garden and space in the house to keep any dog separate from Oscar at nighttime if needed. There is also space for a crate if you prefer your dog to sleep in a crate.
“I do not have to words to explain how fantastic Ivana, Andrew and Michela are, they are just such a wonderful, loving and caring family who looked after our 2 year old work cocking Marley for 4days/3 nights. From the initial meet and greet I was completely put at ease and knew I had found the perfect family to look after our fur baby. They treated Marley like part of the family and gave him lots of snuggles and fuss. Ivana’s communication was excellence and she regularly sent me messages, photos and videos each day. Marley had a fantastic little break and loved his stay. When we went to see her she was very nice and friendly and was open to listen to any specifics about how the cats should be kept or what they eat. Whilst away, she kept me constantly updated and let me knew how the cats were getting along, how much they were/weren’t eating and if there was any litter issues etc. Though my cats hadn’t stayed with others before they seemed very comfortable and she made sure they were constantly well looked after. If I’m ever away for a period of time again, Chang is someone who I would trust to look after them again.”

Although Luna has stayed with Vicky and her family a few times before, this was our first time leaving her while going abroad. Vicky made me feel very relaxed and reassured with daily updates and photos. Luna thoroughly enjoys her stays with Vicky and seeing how excited she gets when we arrive, fills me with confidence to know she is well looked after and made to be one of the family!

We would highly recommend Emily and Josh! Our two dogs stayed with them for a week and couldn’t have been looked after better. From the first meet and greet it was clear that they are a very caring family who love dogs, and having never left ours before, we felt very reassured and comfortable leaving them in their capable hands. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
