About: I grew up with many cats, from the age of 3 until today. My first cat, Scampi, I had for 20 years from age 3-23 and we had many more through out that time. My current lovely cat babies are Leonardo DiCatrio (Leo) and Norma Jean. I have been looking after my sister’s cockapoo puppy for almost a year now when she is away and friends have relied on me to look after their dogs many times throughout the years. I have experience with small dogs such as a Jack Russell, medium dogs like my friend’s Australian Shepherd and Golden Retriever, as well as big dogs like Rottweilers. I have always been an animal lover and with my parents, we have fostered around 50 pregnant, injured or orphaned kitties for the rspca in their transitional period (from rescue until they are ready to find their forever home) ❤️ I am also used to administering oral medication and eye drops I have a flexible working schedule with work from home often an option and sometimes work evening events meaning I can care for pets both in the day and in the evening. I always make sure pets have access to a secure and familiar space so that they have a place to go to feel safe. I am calm, quiet and confident with pets and always willing to be patient with a pet as I am a new person coming into their home and recognise that this can be scary for them.
“I left my very nervous little dog with Amanda for the first time but the photos and videos I received during the visit put my mind at rest, she was obviously having a great time playing with Amanda’s dog Milo. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.”

“Steven and family have been incredible and warmly welcomed Ruby into their home! Steven is very responsive and super helpful in ensuring your dog’s needs are met with plenty of pictures too! Ruby will be visiting again!”

“When we had an event in the area we left our golden retriever Loki, with Dimitri and her family for the day. Dimitri met with us the before to ensure everyone was comfortable. It was clear from the start that Loki was in the best hands. We got photo updates all day and it was clear he had the best time. Cuddles with the family, exploring the garden, a long walk in the countryside, a trip to the beer garden and all the treats a pup could wish for. We wish we lived closer! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thank you again Dimitra and family!”

“It was Buddy's first time with Sonia (and Bailey) and he was completely at home from the moment he arrived. Sonia sent updates and photos throughout the day so I could see Buddy was really settled and having fun. I would definitely recommend Sonia and we have already rebooked for a day next month.”

“Couldn’t fault Alexandros, took Lulu on so last minute, she’s also in season and was wearing a nappy so she didn’t bleed all over the house and he took it off so she was more comfortable. Gave me constant updates throughout the day! Will book again”

“Dropped Leia off yesterday for the first time. Wasn’t sure how she would be as she doesn’t like being left with just anybody but she was fine. Chloe took her for a walk and gave her dinner as requested and Leia seemed happy. Was in contact leading up to the booking and on the day, so good communication. Will definitely book again.”

“I honestly can’t thank Elly enough for taking such amazing care of Albert. He’s a Border Collie x Lab and quite a nervous dog, and this was the first time he’s ever been left away from me, so I was really anxious about it. Elly was absolutely brilliant from start to finish – so patient, kind and understanding with him. I got regular updates and photos which really put my mind at ease, and it was clear Albert was in safe hands. When I picked him up after Monday to Friday, he was happy, settled and comfortable, which says everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Elly to anyone, especially if you have a nervous dog. I’ll definitely be booking again!”

About: I am a qualified dog groomer and pet sitter who is first aid trained and loves to look after dogs! I love keeping dogs calm and relaxed, as well as making sure all their needs are met. I currently work week days 8-5 every Thursday and Friday. I am available on weekends and weekdays, day and night. I am very flexible with dates a would love to make the booking process as quick and easy as possible. I have a fenced medium sized garden and a lovely whippet cross greyhound called Mylo who can keep your fur babies company. My home is quiet and relaxed with lots of natural lighting.
About: We have always had dogs. I love taking care of them (and if I could I would have 100)! Whether it’s energetic pups who love long walks, senior dogs who need a gentler pace, or shy pets who require patience and reassurance, I adapt my care to each dog’s unique needs. I understand the importance of trust when it comes to your furry family member, so I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am currently working full-time so my flexibility is limited through week days. However I am fully flexible on weekends and more than happy to take care of any furry angels! I live by myself in a flat which is spacious enough for small and medium dogs. We have a backyard where the dog can play and I love taking the dogs on walks. No one will be involved in dogs’ care but me.
“Steve was fantastic with our puppy Hugo. We needed someone fairly close by and able to take a puppy, as he’s too young for kennels. Steve was really friendly and has an obvious love for animals. He kept us updated throughout the day and whatsapped some great videos. Thanks Steve, will use you again in the future!”

“Carina was absolute brilliant with Artie, so flexible of his specific needs (he is very anxious and scared around other dogs) and helped to facilitate a really positive meeting between him and Mocha, who he now seems to be really relaxed around. She was really attentive and kept me well updated with photos (Artie particularly enjoyed the air-conditioning during the heatwave). Genuinely feel really lucky to have found someone so understanding and supportive of Artie's complications. Cannot thank her enough for making the whole experience so easy and making my first experience leaving Artie with a dog sitter such a positive one.”

About: I have many years of hands-on experience caring for animals, both through volunteering at an animal shelter and privately for friends and family. Working with animals has always been an important part of my life – something I truly enjoy and find deeply rewarding. I currently dedicate most of my free time to animals, simply because I love their company and genuinely care about their well-being. As a student with a flexible schedule, I have plenty of time to spend with the pets I look after. I understand how important routine, attention, and patience are when it comes to animal care. Each pet is unique, and I always do my best to understand their personality and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and at ease in my care. Your pet will have full access to my home. I also have a quiet, private room where pets can relax whenever they need their own space – a great balance between comfort and calm. Whether it’s an energetic dog that needs long walks or a shy cat who prefers a cozy corner, I adapt to what makes each animal feel best.

About: Animals have held a special place in my heart since childhood. As a teenager, I volunteered at a shelter, walking dogs, cleaning their spaces, and simply being there for them when they needed it most. Those experiences taught me empathy, responsibility, and a deep understanding of dogs’ needs. For 17 years, I shared my life with a wonderful dog who was not just a pet, but my best friend and a true member of the family. Losing her was incredibly difficult, but it also reminded me how meaningful and powerful the bond between humans and animals can be. Today, together with my family, I share my home with our dog Sky, who fills our lives with love, joy, and warmth. She is my everyday companion and makes each day brighter. Two years ago, I had the beautiful experience of helping her bring eight puppies into the world. I cared for her and the puppies around the clock, ensuring they were safe, healthy, and loved. It was truly a special and unforgettable time, and I’m happy to say that all the puppies found caring homes—and we still keep in touch with their families. I truly love spending time with animals and enjoy long walks, especially at sunset. I treat every dog with the same care, attention, and affection as if they were my own.🫶 am currently not working, which means I have plenty of time to give your pets the attention, care, and playtime they deserve. I’m available throughout the day and can easily adapt to your pet’s routine. I also offer overnight stays 7 days a week, ensuring your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a large, secure garden where your pet can safely play, explore, and relax. They’ll also enjoy daily playtime with my dog, Sky, who is gentle, well-socialized, and very friendly with both people and other animals. She’s a wonderful companion and loves having new friends around. At the same time, I understand that some pets may need their own space, so my home offers a calm and comfortable environment where your pet can rest and unwind whenever they need.
“I can't recommend Maria enough. Cebru loved his stay. For an anxious boy who's nervous around other people, he seemed to love it. He was well looked after and I got updates throughout the day. He came back one happy boy.”

My lovely Cocker Spaniel puppy had a lovely day with Faye and her puppy. Faye was able to take him last minute and couldn't have been more attentive with feeding, walks, playing etc. Faye obviously loves dogs and I would thoroughly recommend her as a caring doggy daycare provider. I will definitely be using her again.

Fran is absolutely wonderful! This was Milo's first day visit at Fran, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She kept me updated throughout the day with photos and videos, which was so reassuring and lovely to see. Her dog Pepper is incredibly friendly and playful, the perfect match for Milo! The two of them got along so well, and it’s clear they had a great time together. 🥰 I’m so grateful for the care and attention Fran gave Milo, he came home happy and relaxed. We’re both looking forward to the next visit! 🥰💖😘🤗

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
