“Couldn’t fault Alexandros, took Lulu on so last minute, she’s also in season and was wearing a nappy so she didn’t bleed all over the house and he took it off so she was more comfortable. Gave me constant updates throughout the day! Will book again”

About: We have always had dogs. I love taking care of them (and if I could I would have 100)! Whether it’s energetic pups who love long walks, senior dogs who need a gentler pace, or shy pets who require patience and reassurance, I adapt my care to each dog’s unique needs. I understand the importance of trust when it comes to your furry family member, so I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am currently working full-time so my flexibility is limited through week days. However I am fully flexible on weekends and more than happy to take care of any furry angels! I live by myself in a flat which is spacious enough for small and medium dogs. We have a backyard where the dog can play and I love taking the dogs on walks. No one will be involved in dogs’ care but me.
About: I’ve had pets since childhood — including dogs, cats, and rabbits — from energetic puppies to senior animals who need extra patience, care, and attention. For me, pets are family, and that’s exactly how I care for them: with love, respect, and dedication. I have hands-on experience with feeding, medication, hygiene, and understanding animal behavior, always adjusting to each pet’s individual needs. I’m passionate about animals and truly believe in the unconditional love they give us. For me, caring for them is a joy — and also a great responsibility that I carry out with the affection they deserve. I work flexible hours for a company based in another country, which allows me to take on walks or pet visits at scheduled times without any problem. During the week, I’m available in the mornings or after I pick up my daughter from school, which is also a great time for park visits and walks. I’m available to care for pets both during the week and on weekends, including for longer periods if needed, always with love, responsibility, and full attention. When I care for a pet in their own home, I always respect their space and routine, following the owner's instructions closely to keep everything as familiar and stress-free as possible. I'm very mindful of safety — paying close attention to doors, gates, windows, and anything that could pose a risk. During walks, I always keep pets on a leash and go at their pace, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure. I value open communication with pet owners and provide regular updates, photos, and notes so they feel confident and at ease while I’m with their pets. For me, the animal’s safety, comfort, and well-being always come first.
“My first time with any dog sitter. Chloe was very attentive to my dog’s needs and communicated very efficiently. She was taken out and photo supplied to show Mochi happily sitting in her sling carrier. Will definiately be using Chloe’s services in the coming months.”

“Sotiria is amazing! She is so kind and treats our little Archie with such care. She picked him up and took him to her place when we were away and was available on short notice when something unexpected came up. Archie adores her and she feeds him and sends lots of updates and pics. 5 stars :)”

About: I’ve loved dogs ever since I was a little girl. I grew up in a small village full of animals, and when I was 9, my family finally got our first dog. I taught him all the basic commands just by watching YouTube videos — and my love for dogs only grew stronger from there. Unfortunately, I had to leave my furry best friend behind in my home country with my parents where he loves it the most and I miss that kind of companionship every single day. Dog sitting, for me, isn’t just a job — it’s my way of reconnecting with that joy, peace, and unconditional love that only dogs can give. I also have experience volunteering on a farm, where I cared for a variety of animals and learned even more about responsibility and animal behavior. Whether it’s cuddles, walks, or simply keeping your dog safe and happy, I’m here to help — with heart and care. I have a special price list for regular clients :) so if its not 1 time walk/sit we can discuss it :) I am currently working part-time and from home so I have plenty of time for your furry friends. I am fully flexible and able to take care of your doggies every single day except Sunday because on Sundays I do volunteering on farm <3 My flat is only 10 minutes from nearest park, unfortunately I don't have a garden, only shared yard and a small flat so its better for me to cuddle your dogs at your place or just go for a walk and play outside.
About: I have many years of hands-on experience caring for animals, both through volunteering at an animal shelter and privately for friends and family. Working with animals has always been an important part of my life – something I truly enjoy and find deeply rewarding. I currently dedicate most of my free time to animals, simply because I love their company and genuinely care about their well-being. As a student with a flexible schedule, I have plenty of time to spend with the pets I look after. I understand how important routine, attention, and patience are when it comes to animal care. Each pet is unique, and I always do my best to understand their personality and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and at ease in my care. Your pet will have full access to my home. I also have a quiet, private room where pets can relax whenever they need their own space – a great balance between comfort and calm. Whether it’s an energetic dog that needs long walks or a shy cat who prefers a cozy corner, I adapt to what makes each animal feel best.

About: A bit about me: I had a beloved dog, Mely, for 10 years. When Mely fell ill, I was by her side every step of the way, ensuring her comfort and well-being. This experience gave her a deep understanding of prioritizing a pet’s health and happiness. I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats, I adore every single one of them. For the past 10 years, Veris, my oldest cat, has been a cherished member of the family. I've also rescued and cared for an injured stray cat, covering all the veterinary costs to nurse it back to health. Hello! I'm Kyriakos, Master’s student at DMU and passionate animal lover. As pet enthusiast I'm here to make life easier for you and your furry family members. I understand that every pet has its own unique personality and needs, which is why I provide personalized care to ensure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or overnight stays, we’ve got you covered! Dependable, detail-oriented, and deeply passionate about animals, we treat every pet as if they were our own. I'm committed to building trust with both you and your pets, creating a bond that ensures their comfort and your peace of mind. I can’t wait to meet your furry friends and give them the love and care they truly deserve!
“I can't recommend Maria enough. Cebru loved his stay. For an anxious boy who's nervous around other people, he seemed to love it. He was well looked after and I got updates throughout the day. He came back one happy boy.”

About: Hi there! I'm an experienced pet sitter and walker, as well as owner, and have always done it as a favor since I love all kinds of animals and have had some friends who needed somewhere to leave their pets sometimes. I decided to make it professional to help whoever needs a little extra help! I've had pets all my life and was always good with them. At my flat I only have one cat, Nala. I'd love to petsit your cat/dog or take them for walks, making sure to keep them company and provide toilet breaks whenever needed, as well as play and relax a lot! If your pet has any special needs, please tell me, I'll gladly accept and cherish them! I'll also gladly take photos of the walk/daycare with your pet and keep you updated throughout the day! (: Currently working full-time and a Photographer but still looking after your little ones whenever possible! Limited availability but I'm more than happy to help (: Currently not offering boarding services but I can drop in at yours for either a quick check in or a day of fun and relaxation! I usually have some work to do or shows to watch so if your pet is a laid back one, I'll have no problem just chilling with them (:
“This was the first time we'd used Richard and Bea and as first time dog owners we were a little bit apprehensive as to how Buster would be away from us. We needn't have worried as they are a lovely couple they kept updating us with messages, pictures and a video as to how he was doing. Will definitely use again.”

About: Absolutely passionate about dogs, I bring 5 yrs of substantial experience in providing attentive care. My commitment is symbolized by a dog tattoo on my wrist, reflecting my profound love and admiration for dogs. Your pet's happiness is my utmost concern, ensuring they flourish under my attentive watch. I have weekends availability for dog walks and Wednesdays when I work from home. I love going out on jogs and for brisk walks in the evening and playing fetch with the dogs while on a walk is my favorite activity. I will never leave the dog out of my sight and pamper them with all the love for them to not notice their owners absence.
“Mayur was excellent. Our dog Bella could not have been in better hands. His care and attention for Bella was first class. The best bits were the regular happy photos we received showing Bella enjoying her temporary home and company. We recommend Mayur without reservation.”

About: Dog lover based in Leicester City Centre. I can cover LE2 as well as Le1. I've always had dogs in my life since I was 8 years old. My first dog was a nutty Bearded Collie named Cassie and we later adopted the equally nutty Scruffy; a Cairn Terrier. Currently I am looking after my mobility challenged friend caring for the most beautiful Labrador. She's impeccably behaved and enjoys our long walks and playtime. I am offering dog walking, day care and drop ins in LE1 and LE2 any day. I have just moved back to the area. Morning, lunchtime and evening walks every day. Feeding in the morning and evening. Playtime in between. I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes, Steven The dog is gentle and plays well with any animal including cats, dogs and even chickens. I like to meet the dogs a couple of times if they are staying for a few nights so I can make them feel part of the family.
“I honestly can’t thank Elly enough for taking such amazing care of Albert. He’s a Border Collie x Lab and quite a nervous dog, and this was the first time he’s ever been left away from me, so I was really anxious about it. Elly was absolutely brilliant from start to finish – so patient, kind and understanding with him. I got regular updates and photos which really put my mind at ease, and it was clear Albert was in safe hands. When I picked him up after Monday to Friday, he was happy, settled and comfortable, which says everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Elly to anyone, especially if you have a nervous dog. I’ll definitely be booking again!”

“First time leaving my dog Amba for the day with Ivana and it could not have gone better. Ivana kept me updated throughout the day and sent some pics which were just lovely. Amba looked very relaxed and was very well looked after. I already have more bookings scheduled in and I look forward to Amba having more future stays with Ivana and her lovely family in the future. Thank you for taking such good care of my Amba.”

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
