About: I have been around animals all my life and was lucky enough to grow up with dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and hamsters- to name a few. I am a very loving, relaxed and laidback pet owner and love being around animals. I happily share my sofa and bed with my pets, so if that is something your dog would like, they would feel right at home when staying with me. My dog Oscar is a friendly and playful British bulldog and I also have 2 x 10 year old cats so any dog visiting would have friends to play with. I also have experience looking after puppies as well as older dogs. I work 4 long day a week but am free over the weekends to look after your dog. I generally walk Oscar once a day for an hour but sometimes he gets an additional half hour walk as well so can easily offer this for your dog. I have a large enclosed garden and space in the house to keep any dog separate from Oscar at nighttime if needed. There is also space for a crate if you prefer your dog to sleep in a crate.

About: Hi there! I’m Begum. I’ve been working as an interior designer for about 8 years now and also I am an aunt of my brother’s (of course mine more:)) cat Leyla for nearly 5 years. My life goes around my professionality, my hobbies and my loved ones including all the animals I meet even on the street.

“10/10 Highly Recommend! If it were possible, I would leave a 10-star rating! Leanna did an amazing job and always stayed longer than the actual booked time. She even showed up within 10 minutes for an urgent visit when we were concerned about our little guy. If you get stressed about your pets while on holiday, definitely book her. She goes above and beyond, updating us every day with details and pictures. Eddie, my Russian Blue, absolutely loves her, and I am entirely confident that he is in good hands whenever I am away. Book her with confidence—your holiday will be completely stress-free! I will definitely be using her services again.”

“Sapphire was great with my cat Whiskey! She was very reliable, and gave us a peace of mind while we were on holiday by providing regular updates on him & his activities including eating habits. We will definitely rebook Sapphire again in the future! (:”

“Shannon did a brilliant job looking after Peanut for us...great with photos every visit and even dealt with an unwanted 'Friend' he decided to bring home! Allowed us to enjoy our hols without worrying about our pusscat being in safe hands. Deffo 5 star rating!! Thanks Shannon.”

“Emily was an absolute star, saving us with a very last minute request for a dog sitter. Responding swiftly with messages, but also driving through the snow to come meet Buffy before hand. Buffy made a new best friend the moment Emily arrived, showing how great she is with dogs and we can't thank her enough for looking after our dog x”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 10. Family and friends have always relied on me to check up on them and give them the care they need! I’m available at any time during the week and weekends so I have plenty of time to look after your fury friends! Just let me know when suits you best :) I provide attentive, reliable, and compassionate care tailored to each pet’s individual needs. In my home, pets have a clean, safe, and comfortable environment with plenty of supervision, exercise, playtime, and affection. I follow the owner’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medication (if required), and any special care instructions to help pets feel relaxed and secure. When caring for pets in a pet owner’s home, I respect their home and maintain the pet’s normal routine to minimise stress. I ensure fresh water is always available, provide regular exercise and enrichment, clean up after pets, and keep owners updated with messages and photos for peace of mind. I pay close attention to each pet’s behaviour and wellbeing and would promptly contact the owner or a veterinarian if I noticed any signs of illness or an emergency. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owner is away.
About: I have had cats since I was 5 years old and dogs for 3 years. I have handled everything from feeding and cleaning to birth and feeding newborns every two hours. I even have experience nursing a cat with congenital heart failure. I have a trained Afghan hound who can be off leash, so I am no stranger to stubborn active “untrainable” dogs. I am currently free with no commitments and so if needed can take on same day booking for walking and check ins. I will always update my availability. I will always follow the instructions and requirements given by owners. I understand the level of trust placed by owners to anyone they entrust the care of their beloved pet or their home environment and therefore understand that communication is vital. I will always give a report about the walk / check in and will update owners on any injury or out of the ordinary behaviour. My vast experience permits me to recognise canine and feline body language paying attention to the small details.
About: I’ve always been around animals but dogs have always had my heart. My sister and I got our pup Nala in 2023 when she was just 8 weeks old which feels like forever ago and like yesterday at the same time. Loosing teeth, medication, emergency vet appointments, potty training, heat cycles, I’ve done it all ! And confident in my ability to care for your fur baby I’m currently at uni studying paramedic science and love every bit of it. Demanding course so I’m normally free weekends and weekdays but after 4pm I care for dogs in their own home to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I follow their routine, give them plenty of walks, playtime, and love, and make sure they feel happy and cared for while you’re away.
About: Part of my childhood was inseparable from dogs. In the year I came here, I often took care of a ten year old Yorkshire terrier and a nine year old cockapoo. I am currently a student. So I have a lot of free time. However, the time I can provide depends on the busyness of my schoolwork. Therefore, please be sure to make an appointment in advance. When I am responsible for taking care of pets, I will ensure that their diet, hygiene and health are properly taken care of. This includes feeding on time, keeping the environment clean, and providing enough exercise and play time. In this process, maintain communication with the pet owner and inform the pet of its condition and any key information in a timely manner.

About: have a lifelong passion for animal care, with hands-on experience caring for a wide range of dog breeds, cats, and exotic animals. Professionally, I have worked as a Pet Care Advisor and Groom Room Assistant, developing strong husbandry, health checks, medication administration, handling, and animal welfare skills. I hold a Dog First Aid Certificate and a Dog Behaviour Certification, giving me a solid understanding of canine health and behaviour. I have experience caring for rescue animals and have provided pet sitting for family and friends since childhood. I naturally build trust with animals and have always found it easy to connect with pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. I currently work as a photographer which provides me with the luxury of creating my own schedule! As life always been obsessed with animals and had them in my life I want to fill my spare time caring for and giving pets lots of love while making sure their owners can go about their day knowing their pets are taken care of. I know my jobs months in advance and am very flexible I’m very easily adaptable to owners homes and their/their pets specific needs. I know myself pets can have very specific things needed for their routine which is one of the reasons I love their personalities cause of these lil quirks! So Whatever niche thing your pets need I’m more than happy to do for them!
“Dipali showed respect for all my requirements, and gave me regular updates (including photos) of how my pet (a cat) was doing. It was clear when she visited, and from the photos, that my often nervous pet felt relaxed around her, and she was calm and happy to engage with them. She didn't hesitate to raise a minor issue with me when she encountered it, and on return everything seemed to be in order. She contacted me in a timely fashion to arrange return of my keys. I would not hesitate to use her services again in future.”

About: My safe and loving place is open to any and all dogs and/or cats etc. I currently just moved to Leicester but unfortunately had to leave my family dog at home in San Francisco. I’m a pro soccer player. I live in an apartment with 2 decks and parks not far away. Happy to work with you on your dogs needs to make sure they have a happy, safe, and healthy stay with me. Or I am available to come to you and provide whatever care you need (overnight care etc). I am flexible. I’ve had plenty of experience caring for other dogs, as I’ve helped many families currently and in the past with their needs. I look forward to hearing from you! I am currently training for a few hours during the day but other than that, my schedule is pretty open and we can discuss what you need. I just want your dog to feel comfortable in my apartment. I feel like that's the most important thing, so any advice you can give me would be helpful, so that your dog or cat feels at ease
“Dilsathnisha was so kind and attentive to my two cats during the week. She sent lovely updates and was responsive with messages too. I felt relaxed and comfortable leaving my cats with her and would definitely book again!”

“Cannot thank Yudi and Nicky enough for looking after our cats, Linhope and Connie 🐈🐈⬛ We really weren't sure whether we felt comfortable going away for Christmas and leaving our cats at home, but on meeting Yudi and Nicky, they instantly put our minds at ease. They absolutely over delivered on taken care of them whilst we were away and were sent regular photo/video updates. Cannot recommend them enough! 谢谢!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets the majority of my life dogs, cats, and reptiles some of which were rescues and had some behavioural problems/anxiety. I currently have 2 year old Newfoundland and a 7 year old German shepherd who is a nervous dog. I’m used to a wide range of temperaments due to having rescue dogs. I have also looked after cats and reptiles (specifically tortoises and snakes) for family members and friends. I’m currently working as a bartender at night and have just finished university so am very flexible. This means last minute bookings are always welcome. I’m available consistently Monday to Friday with some night work littered over the weekend. I am always very careful when watching dogs outside especially ensuring they don’t ingest anything they shouldn’t as this is always a potential hazard. Also ensuring they have access outside anytime needed along with keeping them entertained by playing with them or setting up enrichment activities. I’m also able to administer medicine if needed as long as there is clear instructions and I’m comfortable doing so.

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Leicester
This was Ruby's second meeting with our dog Elsie after an initial meet and greet a month ago. Elsie is nervous of strangers and a little reactive. Ruby was calm and happy to go at Elsie’s pace and the pair of them went on a successful walk together ending the time with a tummy rub! Hoping to rebook Ruby to build on this relationship. Thank you Ruby!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
