As I’m self employed, my availability can be flexible with enough notice. I’m normally in the shop from Wednesday-Saturday and will always have Sundays and Mondays available.

I’m currently living with my parents who already have two dogs, one of which is reactive- I have plans to move in the next few months but until then will not be able to keep dogs at my place. That being said, I have a car and can easily travel wherever needed. My partner and I love long walks in the countryside, so if your dog has lots of energy I’ll surely wear them out!

There’s no dog too difficult for me, but if they are nervous or reactive to strangers please let me know so I can adapt my behavior when we meet. I love to give doggies loads of fuss and cuddles, but if they’re a bit shy I’ll make sure to tone this down and let them check me out before I come to them. Anything that normally makes your dog nervous or uncomfortable please tell me so I can make sure they feel safe and happy being left with me ♥️
A typical day
I like to walk dogs first thing before feeding, as they’re usually pretty restless at this time! I know some great walking spots in more rural areas of Leicester where they can have a good run around and a game of fetch. On the days I’m not at the tattoo shop I’ll be at home drawing, so while your dog’s having a nap this is what I’ll be doing! I’ll take them on a second walk (if this is part of their routine) in the afternoon. And I can’t speak for all dog owners, but I’ve noticed they can have a spike of energy late evening! A good play or snuffle/licki matt helps mine wind down before bed.

Hey there! I’m Ruby and I’m a 26 year old tattoo artist. I’ve had dogs since I was 8 years old, have raised two labradoodle puppies and cared for elderly dogs. I have done paid house sitting and walking for a variety of breeds and temperaments including those with problematic and challenging behaviors. One of my parent’s dogs is reactive so I have plenty of experience dealing with reactivity. I’m also a gym gal who lifts heavy weights- helpful to know if your dog’s a bit strong on the lead!

Ruby loves dogs and dogs love Ruby. She is calm and capable, great at settling dogs down, walking them and generally looking after them. Very reliable and able to drive. Ruby is all round great! Recommended.
