About: I am very patient and attentive to the animals in my care and very protective towards them. I treat them like I treat my own dog. I am retired and am at home all the time. I am available every day of the week but would need 3 days' notice. I am quite flexible with my time. My garden is fully enclosed and safe from any dangers like the wrong plants or chemicals. The nearest park to me is a very secluded and safe place.
“Amazing dog sitter. Martina has taken care of my puppy Lester. He is very comfortable around her & he’s looks happy & content from the pictures & videos she has sent during his stay with her. I highly recommend.”
“I honestly can’t thank Elly enough for taking such amazing care of Albert. He’s a Border Collie x Lab and quite a nervous dog, and this was the first time he’s ever been left away from me, so I was really anxious about it. Elly was absolutely brilliant from start to finish – so patient, kind and understanding with him. I got regular updates and photos which really put my mind at ease, and it was clear Albert was in safe hands. When I picked him up after Monday to Friday, he was happy, settled and comfortable, which says everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Elly to anyone, especially if you have a nervous dog. I’ll definitely be booking again!”

“It was Buddy's first time with Sonia (and Bailey) and he was completely at home from the moment he arrived. Sonia sent updates and photos throughout the day so I could see Buddy was really settled and having fun. I would definitely recommend Sonia and we have already rebooked for a day next month.”

“Steve was fantastic with our puppy Hugo. We needed someone fairly close by and able to take a puppy, as he’s too young for kennels. Steve was really friendly and has an obvious love for animals. He kept us updated throughout the day and whatsapped some great videos. Thanks Steve, will use you again in the future!”

“Francesca is clearly very experienced with dogs (more so than us!) so we were able to leave Poppy with her for the afternoon/evening confident that she would be well looked after. It was great to get the video updates where we could see Poppy was having a great time. I have no hesitation in recommending Francesca. Thank you so much x”

About: We as a family have an amazing dog called Honey shes a Cockapoo and is full of life! Iv looked after various dogs of all different breeds for family and friends over the years and its been a wonderful joy and experience. This is my job, my main line of work so i have plenty of time to spend time looking after Your furry friends and taking care of there needs. I can confidently say i will be able to keep your pets safe and sound, if theres any prblems with nervous pets then thats ok too because iv got plenty of experience with that.
“Couldn’t fault Alexandros, took Lulu on so last minute, she’s also in season and was wearing a nappy so she didn’t bleed all over the house and he took it off so she was more comfortable. Gave me constant updates throughout the day! Will book again”

About: I have always been surrounded by animal's growing up and have a deep love and care for them. I often look after friends and families pets either staying in their home or the dogs come here. I currently have a 2 year old cockapoo who I trained from a pup who loves other dogs! I am currently a student home for the summer I am free most days! I have a flexible schedule. I do drive so I am able to get to you’re home easily . In my home we have a fenced pet safe garden! I am very caring and responsible and will always put the safety of you’re pet first!
About: We have always had dogs. I love taking care of them (and if I could I would have 100)! Whether it’s energetic pups who love long walks, senior dogs who need a gentler pace, or shy pets who require patience and reassurance, I adapt my care to each dog’s unique needs. I understand the importance of trust when it comes to your furry family member, so I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am currently working full-time so my flexibility is limited through week days. However I am fully flexible on weekends and more than happy to take care of any furry angels! I live by myself in a flat which is spacious enough for small and medium dogs. We have a backyard where the dog can play and I love taking the dogs on walks. No one will be involved in dogs’ care but me.
“Snoopy spent the entire day with Aliya. She was fantastic in keeping me posted on how snoopy is doing throughout the day; accompanied with pictures. It definitely showed that snoopy was comfortable and being looked after well. Will definitely recommend her and use her her services whenever needed. Top class.”

About: I’ve loved dogs ever since I was a little girl. I grew up in a small village full of animals, and when I was 9, my family finally got our first dog. I taught him all the basic commands just by watching YouTube videos — and my love for dogs only grew stronger from there. Unfortunately, I had to leave my furry best friend behind in my home country with my parents where he loves it the most and I miss that kind of companionship every single day. Dog sitting, for me, isn’t just a job — it’s my way of reconnecting with that joy, peace, and unconditional love that only dogs can give. I also have experience volunteering on a farm, where I cared for a variety of animals and learned even more about responsibility and animal behavior. Whether it’s cuddles, walks, or simply keeping your dog safe and happy, I’m here to help — with heart and care. I have a special price list for regular clients :) so if its not 1 time walk/sit we can discuss it :) I am currently working part-time and from home so I have plenty of time for your furry friends. I am fully flexible and able to take care of your doggies every single day except Sunday because on Sundays I do volunteering on farm <3 My flat is only 10 minutes from nearest park, unfortunately I don't have a garden, only shared yard and a small flat so its better for me to cuddle your dogs at your place or just go for a walk and play outside.
About: I’ve had pets since childhood — including dogs, cats, and rabbits — from energetic puppies to senior animals who need extra patience, care, and attention. For me, pets are family, and that’s exactly how I care for them: with love, respect, and dedication. I have hands-on experience with feeding, medication, hygiene, and understanding animal behavior, always adjusting to each pet’s individual needs. I’m passionate about animals and truly believe in the unconditional love they give us. For me, caring for them is a joy — and also a great responsibility that I carry out with the affection they deserve. I work flexible hours for a company based in another country, which allows me to take on walks or pet visits at scheduled times without any problem. During the week, I’m available in the mornings or after I pick up my daughter from school, which is also a great time for park visits and walks. I’m available to care for pets both during the week and on weekends, including for longer periods if needed, always with love, responsibility, and full attention. When I care for a pet in their own home, I always respect their space and routine, following the owner's instructions closely to keep everything as familiar and stress-free as possible. I'm very mindful of safety — paying close attention to doors, gates, windows, and anything that could pose a risk. During walks, I always keep pets on a leash and go at their pace, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure. I value open communication with pet owners and provide regular updates, photos, and notes so they feel confident and at ease while I’m with their pets. For me, the animal’s safety, comfort, and well-being always come first.
About: Big dog fan, but I can’t get my own due to work commitments in the week as I commute to work. Happy to look after yours and walk them or let them chase me on a run. I might even manage to teach them to give me a high five! I’ve got a terrace house with a comfy sofa and a garden to sniff around. I’ve had a dog for a year and learnt so much about caring for them and picking up any unhappy dog noises. I live near two big parks which are great for long walks and meeting other dogs for a chase. Preferably no dogs who like to chew or eat the sofa or cushions. Other than that my house is clean and tidy.
About: I grew up with many cats, from the age of 3 until today. My first cat, Scampi, I had for 20 years from age 3-23 and we had many more through out that time. My current lovely cat babies are Leonardo DiCatrio (Leo) and Norma Jean. I have been looking after my sister’s cockapoo puppy for almost a year now when she is away and friends have relied on me to look after their dogs many times throughout the years. I have experience with small dogs such as a Jack Russell, medium dogs like my friend’s Australian Shepherd and Golden Retriever, as well as big dogs like Rottweilers. I have always been an animal lover and with my parents, we have fostered around 50 pregnant, injured or orphaned kitties for the rspca in their transitional period (from rescue until they are ready to find their forever home) ❤️ I am also used to administering oral medication and eye drops I have a flexible working schedule with work from home often an option and sometimes work evening events meaning I can care for pets both in the day and in the evening. I always make sure pets have access to a secure and familiar space so that they have a place to go to feel safe. I am calm, quiet and confident with pets and always willing to be patient with a pet as I am a new person coming into their home and recognise that this can be scary for them.
“Sotiria is amazing! She is so kind and treats our little Archie with such care. She picked him up and took him to her place when we were away and was available on short notice when something unexpected came up. Archie adores her and she feeds him and sends lots of updates and pics. 5 stars :)”

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
