About: Family and friends have always trusted me to look after their dogs whether it is just for a couple of hours a day or for a couple of weeks. I have experience with small, medium and large breed dogs. I work from home with flexible hours so I am able to provide entertainment and attention throughout the day on both week days and weekends. I live in a spacious 2 bed apartment, with close access to beautiful public paths and parks with vast fields. I also have a front and back garden.
About: I am very patient and attentive to the animals in my care and very protective towards them. I treat them like I treat my own dog. I am retired and am at home all the time. I am available every day of the week but would need 3 days' notice. I am quite flexible with my time. My garden is fully enclosed and safe from any dangers like the wrong plants or chemicals. The nearest park to me is a very secluded and safe place.
“Amazing dog sitter. Martina has taken care of my puppy Lester. He is very comfortable around her & he’s looks happy & content from the pictures & videos she has sent during his stay with her. I highly recommend.”
“It was Buddy's first time with Sonia (and Bailey) and he was completely at home from the moment he arrived. Sonia sent updates and photos throughout the day so I could see Buddy was really settled and having fun. I would definitely recommend Sonia and we have already rebooked for a day next month.”

“Francesca was incredible with my puppy! Alloo came back tired and happy. When we went for our meet and greet, Alloo Instantly became comfortable with the dogs and Francesca kept a close eye on them as well as sharing her experiences and making me comfortable. Can’t recommend her enough! I know I’m going to come back - I say you choose her too!!”

“Steve was fantastic with our puppy Hugo. We needed someone fairly close by and able to take a puppy, as he’s too young for kennels. Steve was really friendly and has an obvious love for animals. He kept us updated throughout the day and whatsapped some great videos. Thanks Steve, will use you again in the future!”

About: I’ve had pets since childhood — including dogs, cats, and rabbits — from energetic puppies to senior animals who need extra patience, care, and attention. For me, pets are family, and that’s exactly how I care for them: with love, respect, and dedication. I have hands-on experience with feeding, medication, hygiene, and understanding animal behavior, always adjusting to each pet’s individual needs. I’m passionate about animals and truly believe in the unconditional love they give us. For me, caring for them is a joy — and also a great responsibility that I carry out with the affection they deserve. I work flexible hours for a company based in another country, which allows me to take on walks or pet visits at scheduled times without any problem. During the week, I’m available in the mornings or after I pick up my daughter from school, which is also a great time for park visits and walks. I’m available to care for pets both during the week and on weekends, including for longer periods if needed, always with love, responsibility, and full attention. When I care for a pet in their own home, I always respect their space and routine, following the owner's instructions closely to keep everything as familiar and stress-free as possible. I'm very mindful of safety — paying close attention to doors, gates, windows, and anything that could pose a risk. During walks, I always keep pets on a leash and go at their pace, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure. I value open communication with pet owners and provide regular updates, photos, and notes so they feel confident and at ease while I’m with their pets. For me, the animal’s safety, comfort, and well-being always come first.
“Snoopy spent the entire day with Aliya. She was fantastic in keeping me posted on how snoopy is doing throughout the day; accompanied with pictures. It definitely showed that snoopy was comfortable and being looked after well. Will definitely recommend her and use her her services whenever needed. Top class.”

“Sotiria is amazing! She is so kind and treats our little Archie with such care. She picked him up and took him to her place when we were away and was available on short notice when something unexpected came up. Archie adores her and she feeds him and sends lots of updates and pics. 5 stars :)”

About: We have always had dogs. I love taking care of them (and if I could I would have 100)! Whether it’s energetic pups who love long walks, senior dogs who need a gentler pace, or shy pets who require patience and reassurance, I adapt my care to each dog’s unique needs. I understand the importance of trust when it comes to your furry family member, so I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am currently working full-time so my flexibility is limited through week days. However I am fully flexible on weekends and more than happy to take care of any furry angels! I live by myself in a flat which is spacious enough for small and medium dogs. We have a backyard where the dog can play and I love taking the dogs on walks. No one will be involved in dogs’ care but me.
“This was the first time we'd used Richard and Bea and as first time dog owners we were a little bit apprehensive as to how Buster would be away from us. We needn't have worried as they are a lovely couple they kept updating us with messages, pictures and a video as to how he was doing. Will definitely use again.”

About: I grew up with many cats, from the age of 3 until today. My first cat, Scampi, I had for 20 years from age 3-23 and we had many more through out that time. My current lovely cat babies are Leonardo DiCatrio (Leo) and Norma Jean. I have been looking after my sister’s cockapoo puppy for almost a year now when she is away and friends have relied on me to look after their dogs many times throughout the years. I have experience with small dogs such as a Jack Russell, medium dogs like my friend’s Australian Shepherd and Golden Retriever, as well as big dogs like Rottweilers. I have always been an animal lover and with my parents, we have fostered around 50 pregnant, injured or orphaned kitties for the rspca in their transitional period (from rescue until they are ready to find their forever home) ❤️ I am also used to administering oral medication and eye drops I have a flexible working schedule with work from home often an option and sometimes work evening events meaning I can care for pets both in the day and in the evening. I always make sure pets have access to a secure and familiar space so that they have a place to go to feel safe. I am calm, quiet and confident with pets and always willing to be patient with a pet as I am a new person coming into their home and recognise that this can be scary for them.
About: Big dog fan, but I can’t get my own due to work commitments in the week as I commute to work. Happy to look after yours and walk them or let them chase me on a run. I might even manage to teach them to give me a high five! I’ve got a terrace house with a comfy sofa and a garden to sniff around. I’ve had a dog for a year and learnt so much about caring for them and picking up any unhappy dog noises. I live near two big parks which are great for long walks and meeting other dogs for a chase. Preferably no dogs who like to chew or eat the sofa or cushions. Other than that my house is clean and tidy.

About: I’ve been caring for pets for years, and I do it alongside my girlfriend, so your furry friend will have double the love and attention 🐾. We’ve cared for animals of all ages – from mischievous puppies to wise, senior dogs – and know how to make them feel safe, happy, and part of the family. Every pet is unique, and we make sure walks, playtime, and cuddles are tailored to their personality. With us, your dog or cat won’t just be looked after – they’ll be spoiled a little, loved a lot, and always treated like part of our pack. ❤️ Pets are always part of my daily routine 🐾. Mornings usually start with a walk or some playtime to help them burn off energy and feel happy. Mealtime, cuddles, and mental stimulation are also key parts of the day, making sure every pet feels loved and cared for. Since my girlfriend and I both work from home, pets are never left alone and are fully included in our daily rhythm. Walks, games, training, and quiet time together are all part of our week, keeping them happy, comfortable, and engaged. I make sure feeding times are on schedule and strictly follow the owner’s instructions. Walks are done at a pace that suits the dog – whether it’s a power stroll or a sniff-around adventure. And when the dog’s had enough running and fetching, we can always chill out together and watch Lassie Come Home – emotional support goes both ways, after all. Safety and trust are our top priorities. Whether caring for pets in our home or yours, we make sure they are always in a secure environment, with routines followed carefully so they feel comfortable and happy. We treat every animal with patience, kindness, and respect, just like they were our own. In our home, we have a fully fenced garden where pets can enjoy safe, supervised playtime. 🐾
Oadby dog owners share their Rover experiences
I honestly can’t thank Elly enough for taking such amazing care of Albert. He’s a Border Collie x Lab and quite a nervous dog, and this was the first time he’s ever been left away from me, so I was really anxious about it. Elly was absolutely brilliant from start to finish – so patient, kind and understanding with him. I got regular updates and photos which really put my mind at ease, and it was clear Albert was in safe hands. When I picked him up after Monday to Friday, he was happy, settled and comfortable, which says everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Elly to anyone, especially if you have a nervous dog. I’ll definitely be booking again!
