I am reliable, friendly and trustworthy and would love to build a relationship with you and your precious pets This is my only commitment other than parenting 3 boys although they don’t need me so much these days meaning I can be readily available most days/times and can be flexible I would treat your pets like my own when they’re in my care, I am trustworthy and reliable and if I am in your home I would treat it with the utmost respect like I would expect my own home to be treated
About: When I was 15, I started my own pet sitting and walking business, which I have been running ever since for my neighbours and close family. I've taken care of dogs ranging from a 1 year old Cockapoo to a 12 year old Labrador retriever, and Cats of various ages 1-18. At home, I have 5 cats, 1 dog, 2 hens and 1 rabbit. I am a part-time student studying online, so I am completely flexible to walk your pets, or look after them, pretty much any time of the day! Our Labrador has daytime access to our huge fenced garden! He can run around, and he enjoys being with and playing with our cats (ages 1, 8, 12, 17, 18)
“From start to finish, Saffron was an absolute dream to deal with. After contacting her to check her availability, she came round to meet myself and my fur baby, Tilly. We hadn't left Tilly before, plus had recently moved house, so I wanted to ensure that she was able to stay in her own environment. Saffron put me at ease right away and Tilly allowed her to stroke her on the first interaction which is very rare! Saffron sent me regular updates and photos which was a much anticipated message for us whilst we were on holiday. We came back to a calm and content Tilly and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Saffron. So much so, that I've already re-booked her!”

“This was our first time using a cat sitter we were a bit nervous as our babies are only 10 months old and nervous but leanne was great even got them out to take photos and treats it meant we could relax a bit definitely be using the service and leanne again”

About: I have had cats since I was 5 years old and dogs for 3 years. I have handled everything from feeding and cleaning to birth and feeding newborns every two hours. I even have experience nursing a cat with congenital heart failure. I have a trained Afghan hound who can be off leash, so I am no stranger to stubborn active “untrainable” dogs. I am currently free with no commitments and so if needed can take on same day booking for walking and check ins. I will always update my availability. I will always follow the instructions and requirements given by owners. I understand the level of trust placed by owners to anyone they entrust the care of their beloved pet or their home environment and therefore understand that communication is vital. I will always give a report about the walk / check in and will update owners on any injury or out of the ordinary behaviour. My vast experience permits me to recognise canine and feline body language paying attention to the small details.

“Ria dropped in on my kitten, Luna and I could immediately tell they had a great time. She played with her and fed her and when I returned, Luna seemed really happy. I would definitely be using Ria again to look after Luna. Thanks again!”

“Kelly took great care of our kitten whilst we were away for the day. The updates and photos were fab and really helped us to feel confident that he had a lovely day. She also arranged a meet and greet before the day so that we all felt comfortable with the plans which we hadn't thought to do ourselves but was really appreciated. We wouldn't hesitate to ask Kelly to drop in again in the future if she's happy to!”

“It was so lucky to have Shannon taking care our cats, she is really responsible, caring, and responsive. It was a great relief as it was the first time we left our cats more than 2 days. Our cats immediately bonded with her. We can’t wait to have her cut Alex’s nails once her training is completed! Definitely will contact Shannon for our next trip!”

“This is my first experience of this service. I contacted Maisie to care for my two cats. She responded promptly to my message and was spot on time for the introductory visit. Maisie asked relevant questions about the boys care and explained that I would receive photos and a message after the visit. I was happy with the care provided and would book Maisie again.”

“We had Rachel come and look after our cat Felix for the first time bank holiday weekend. Was so impressed from the moment we met her on the meet & greet. Rachel done a great job looking after our boy, she followed all our instructions, sent photos of him and left the house very tidy. When we returned Felix was a happy boy. Would have no hesitation in booking Rachel again and would definitely recommend. Thank you Rachel .”

Shannon did a brilliant job looking after Peanut for us...great with photos every visit and even dealt with an unwanted 'Friend' he decided to bring home! Allowed us to enjoy our hols without worrying about our pusscat being in safe hands. Deffo 5 star rating!! Thanks Shannon.

Probably the 6th review I’ve left for Lois! I will always use Lois when she is available for my baby Ozzie, he loves her just as much as I love to have her look after him. She is amazing, communicates everything and can tell she has a real passion and care towards pets she is sitting ❤️

I couldn't be happier with the care my cats (and gecko!) received! Saffron was super communicative from start to finish—she kept me updated with regular photos and messages so I always knew how my babies were doing. It really put my mind at ease knowing they were in such great hands. She was also incredibly flexible with my schedule, and I appreciated how she was always willing to work around the changes I had. My cats were clearly well taken care of, and I could tell Saffron really cared about making sure everything went smoothly. Highly recommend Saffron to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and thoughtful cat sitter! Will definitely be using her services again in the future! 😊🐱

Really happy with the service Sapphire provided. I received daily updates and photos which put my mind at ease, as I knew Curly was being well looked after. Sapphire was great at communicating and very accommodating with working around schedules when sorting out key handover, as well as helped me out with bringing in a cat food delivery I’d ordered that hadn’t arrived before I left. Would definitely ask Sapphire to look after Curly again the next time I’m away!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
