Emily was an absolute star, saving us with a very last minute request for a dog sitter. Responding swiftly with messages, but also driving through the snow to come meet Buffy before hand. Buffy made a new best friend the moment Emily arrived, showing how great she is with dogs and we can't thank her enough for looking after our dog x

This is my first experience of this service. I contacted Maisie to care for my two cats. She responded promptly to my message and was spot on time for the introductory visit. Maisie asked relevant questions about the boys care and explained that I would receive photos and a message after the visit. I was happy with the care provided and would book Maisie again.

About: I have had cats since I was 5 years old and dogs for 3 years. I have handled everything from feeding and cleaning to birth and feeding newborns every two hours. I even have experience nursing a cat with congenital heart failure. I have a trained Afghan hound who can be off leash, so I am no stranger to stubborn active “untrainable” dogs. I am currently free with no commitments and so if needed can take on same day booking for walking and check ins. I will always update my availability. I will always follow the instructions and requirements given by owners. I understand the level of trust placed by owners to anyone they entrust the care of their beloved pet or their home environment and therefore understand that communication is vital. I will always give a report about the walk / check in and will update owners on any injury or out of the ordinary behaviour. My vast experience permits me to recognise canine and feline body language paying attention to the small details.

Sapphire looked after our cat for 4 days whilst we were away, it’s the first time we’ve used a cat sitter and we were a bit nervous but as soon as Sapphire got to ours, our minds were put at ease 😊 She sent us lots of great pictures and kept in touch throughout the 4 days and even made sure our plants were watered before she left! 100% recommend Sapphire, I wouldn’t hesitate to ask her to look after our cat any time. She’s absolutely brilliant and we can’t thank her enough for being so great! Thanks Sapphire! Xx

10/10 Highly Recommend! If it were possible, I would leave a 10-star rating! Leanna did an amazing job and always stayed longer than the actual booked time. She even showed up within 10 minutes for an urgent visit when we were concerned about our little guy. If you get stressed about your pets while on holiday, definitely book her. She goes above and beyond, updating us every day with details and pictures. Eddie, my Russian Blue, absolutely loves her, and I am entirely confident that he is in good hands whenever I am away. Book her with confidence—your holiday will be completely stress-free! I will definitely be using her services again.

I couldn't be happier with the care my cats (and gecko!) received! Saffron was super communicative from start to finish—she kept me updated with regular photos and messages so I always knew how my babies were doing. It really put my mind at ease knowing they were in such great hands. She was also incredibly flexible with my schedule, and I appreciated how she was always willing to work around the changes I had. My cats were clearly well taken care of, and I could tell Saffron really cared about making sure everything went smoothly. About: After my westie passed away 8yrs ago, it took me a while to figure what I wanted to do with my life, I’d lived with various dog breeds and cared for them, so the natural path for me to pursue was working with animals, this bought me great happiness and joy, it healed my heart. This is my full time calling, I dog walk on certain days and diary allowing I pet sit, I cover Leicester but I also do ad hoc sits. I always do a meet and greet, get a full history of the pets, walk them with the owner. I get a full rundown of the home. Typical questions: age, breed, allergies, medication, walks, food & treats, vets details, where they sleep, when they were last groomed and vaccinations.

Martha looked after my cat well and updated me a couple of times during the days I was away. She obviously loves animals and made an effort to interact with Rupert during her visits and whilst usually timid he warmed towards Martha and enjoyed the attention. I would recommend Martha for cat-sitting and if I need someone to look after Rupert when I am away again I would not hesitate to use Martha.

Our cats immediately bonded with her. We can’t wait to have her cut Alex’s nails once her training is completed! Definitely will contact Shannon for our next trip!

There are 1,207 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Blaby. About 93% of Blaby sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
