“We had only just moved house so I was worried about leaving our old cat for a long weekend but Natasha was brilliant. I had daily updates that our cat was eating and drinking which was a relief. I’ll definitely be using Natasha’s pet sitting services again in the future 😊💕”

“Wish I could give more than 5 stars! I booked Anita to do daily house visits for my two cats while I was away. She was so attentive to the instructions and took such good care of them. They looked so happy and well taken care of in the daily updates / photos she’d send. You can tell she genuinely loves animals. She even did extra visits for me / stayed longer hours at times to keep them company when I asked . She would also message me straight away if she felt anything was off, such as they were eating less, seemed bored etc and she would be willing to whatever was needed to make sure they were okay. I had such a great holiday, didn’t have to worry about the cats at all, as I realised they were in really good hands!”

“Carla was a wonderful and caring sitter for our two kitties while we were away on holiday. Both of our cats seemed to absolutely adore her--and you know how picky cats can be about people! I personally loved her for her meticulousness in learning about our cats and commitment to caring for them precisely as requested. She was also very responsive to all of my messages. One of our cats is quite finicky about her litter and is prone to accidents if everything isn't exactly to her liking. This same cat also developed some tummy trouble that required adjustments to her diet, keeping a close eye on her behaviour after meals, and checking the house at every visit for signs that she'd been ill. Carla sent us daily updates on this cat's health in addition to her regular updates via Rover Cards, which really helped to put our minds at ease while we were away. We highly recommend Carla and will absolutely be looking forward to having her care for our pets again in the future.”

“Absolutely fabulous. Communication before / during and after was amazing. Very informative and put me at ease. As the first time I was using Rover. Isabel me a video immediately as soon as she met Bev - and Bev looked so so happy to see her. Highly recommend Isabel for your fur baby visits. Thank you. xxx”

“Veronica was fantastic and reliable for looking after our cats and keeping them in good company and care. She was able to work short notice, had excellent communication, so highly recommended!”

About: I’ve professionally taken care of dogs locally for almost 5 years, from Huskies, Labradors, Cocker-Spaniels to a German Short-haired Pointer that chased a sheep into a canal for me to rescue! 😅 Additionally, my side job as a video editor allows my schedule to be super flexible, allowing me to drive over to you whenever and wherever I am needed! Safety for your pets and respecting your wishes are of utmost importance to me. Cleanliness also takes priority when visiting homes, and I take extra care in respecting property, not just in houses but on walks to, making sure to keep dogs on leads at all times if requested, and making sure they don’t put themselves in harms way.
“Aurelia was great! Came to meet Luna and discuss plans day before scheduled, kept me informed on her visits and Luna looked almost sad that it was me coming home and not Aurelia coming in again! Will certainly keep you in mind for future bookings, thank you!”

About: I have always cared for pets at my home from dogs to cats, stick insects to gerbils, you name it! And my passion for animal care led me to completing my BSc Animal Science (Pet Behaviour and Welfare) degree at university for four years. I have the practical and theory skills to handle all kinds of pet care, including veterinary work and husbandry experience. My pet behaviour pathway at university gave me the opportunity to work for a pet behaviour clinic for a year specialising in dog behaviour and training, so I know the patience and love required to care for and train the most anxious pets. It can take time to build trust and my policy is always to do so with a gentle hand and maybe a treat or two! I'm currently working part time so have a flexible schedule for your pets' care including weekend stays, day visits, walks, feeding and more. I’m happy to stay for longer/ overnight visits so you don’t have to worry for your pets while you’re on holiday. I'm very happy to take instructions from you on what care you believe your pets require or anything you wish to request of me during my time with them. Whether this means using crates or not, treats, outdoor time...etc.

About: I had my own dog - Ethel, for 14 years, so I have personal experience in looking after dogs. I’ve also looked after family cats and dogs when family have been away. I love being around animals and know what makes them tick, you can trust me to take good care of your pet. I have experience volunteering at an animal rescue centre which has brought me a lot of hands-on experience in looking after dogs and cats. I have a big passion for animals but have not been able to make it a full-time career! I look after animals when I’m not at work, so weekends or in the holidays for extra income. My bookings will fit around my full-time job. I decided to pursue this as I have always enjoyed being around animals and caring for them. Safety and trust is key when I make bookings. I always meet the client and dog first to ensure that we are a good match. I always ensure that my clients are happy with the arrangement and ensure they know about me and my background before bookings take place. I only currently do sitting in the owner’s home but can walk wherever needed. I always keep owners in the loop when I am sitting or walking their dog, or when looking after their cat.

“10/10 service. Zoe was incredibly accommodating and adjusted our booking a few times to suit us. Was a last minute booking and she was still happy to take us. Great service, I was so nervous leaving my baby Scout with a new person but Zoe exceeded my expectations and really put my mind at ease. She goes above and beyond and I couldn’t recommend her more!”

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Harborough
Natasha was a lovely cat sitter. All the arrangements were really straightforward and she was very responsive throughout. She kept us updated with regular photos and videos while we were away, which was really reassuring and lovely to see. We felt very comfortable knowing our cat was in good hands and would happily use Natasha again.

We would never leave our girls with anybody else. Sian administers medication, lets them out in the garden, plays with them, sends us beautiful photos, and stays cool when our parents unexpectedly stop by (sorry!) Just go ahead and book; your cats will love her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
