About: I’ve been looking after the fur-babies of my friends, family and colleagues for as long as I can remember. As a child my family have always had dogs and cats as members of our family. I love the opportunity play and snuggle. This is how I spend free time: cuddles with my two kitties who my husband thinks I love more than him… no comment. I am currently a part-time teacher so I’m always free on school holidays, weekends and Mondays. I’m going to be leaving soon so I will have lots more availability . In my experience pets are happiest in their own environment where they feel comfortable and safe, which is why I am happy to offer in-home visits, where I can feed/play/walk with your pet.

Growing up on a farm in Portugal, I was surrounded by the heartbreaking reality of stray animals, which sparked a lifelong mission to help. I couldn't turn a blind eye; I brought home every animal in need—from dogs and cats to injured birds. ​Eventually, after endless ignored "no more animals after this one" pleas, my parents finally accepted their fate and helped me build dedicated kennels on our farm. Together with the local community, we provided food, medical care, and a safe haven for these animals until we could find them their forever homes. “Martina is our new angel! She was amazing from before her dates even started and only continued to amaze there after! Martina came out and walked with the dogs before the start date so that they felt more comfortable when we left. She actually came over at 2:30am when we left so they’d be less stressed as wee left, even though I assured her it wasn’t necessary. She went above and beyond in every interaction she had with the dogs and us. Martina provided comprehensive updates everyday, which is was very reassuring for us whilst we were away. She even noticed medical requirements that arose on one of my dogs and after consulting me, started to provide care according to my wishes. Even kept the house clean when we said she didn’t need to. Cannot recommend enough, one of the most conscientious dog carers we have ever used and I’ll definitely be leaning on her for dog walks and boardin in the future as the dogs clearly love her. I am currently working and studying from home so I am available for all pet needs and services. Caring for pets is already apart of my daily routine having many pets myself. I’m able to care for pets both in my own home and in the pet owner’s home, depending on what is most comfortable for the pet and preferred by the owner. When caring for pets in the owner’s home, I aim to keep their routine as normal as possible. This includes feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, playtime, and any specific instructions such as medication. I also make sure the home is left clean and secure, and I provide regular updates with photos so the owner has peace of mind. When caring for pets in my own home, I provide a safe, calm, and pet-friendly environment. I ensure they have a comfortable space, follow their usual feeding routine, and give them plenty of attention, exercise, and supervision. About: I have a Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management that includes a first aid course. I help my boyfriend run his successful dog day-care business, (open 10 years this year), which has had many different breeds and temperaments of dogs. From Dachshunds to Ridgebacks. I have experience with boarding at home for pre-existing clients, and I am branching out to offer sitting in your own home. I have specialised in nervous and anxious dogs in my dog grooming business. I work from home as a dog groomer, and so working for myself means I can work around your dog's needs. Ideally I would work on bringing them to work with me, but only if I was sure about their safety and happiness. For cat or small animal visits, I would discuss with you what your normal routine is around feeding and socialising with them and mirror what I can to keep them as calm and reassured as possible in their own home. I have my own car that is suited to transport cats and dogs . I have carriers, collars and leads as well as contacts at 2 different local vets. I am aware of some very safe dog walk locations. I am used to medications and dietary requirements as well as physical needs (one of my dogs had a metal plate in his legs and then eventually had it removed, another has had issues with her cruciate ligament) I will also not post any information on social media about where I am or who I am looking after until you are already back from your holiday. I will obviously update Rover whilst you are away and stay in regular contacts so that you have peace of mind. As I am also a god groomer, I can continue any grooming routines you have and may be able to sneak in a cheeky bath, face tidy and nail trim if you needed it.

About: I have been raised on a farm, with dogs, cats, cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, one turtle and even a goat. I love all creatures small and big, except for spiders (terrified of them). Since I was little I took care of the animals mentioned above, I had dogs, cats and rabbits as my responsibility. I would ensure they are kept alive and well taken care of including, grooming, feeding and walking. I also occasionally help with my friend's dogs (pug and Yorkie), but they do not need me as much just for occasional walks and feed. I have recently pet sat for a Main Coon for a week, and I was responsible even for administering medication. I do not shy away from that and I am happy to learn if that is required. I would like to assure you that taking care of pets is not just sitting with them and keeping them fed and walked. It is much more for me. I believe that all pets need attention, and they need to be played with actively. I work full time, however, for three out of 5 days I work from home so I am able to look after your animal, including going for walks during lunch time. I also am happy to have your pet in my bedroom whilst I work. I am available over the weekends as well , and happy to help. I do not mind early mornings and late evenings either. I have a fenced garden in my house, so your fur baby can have plenty of space to run around. I am happy to follow any instructions given by pet owners when in their house so that their pet receives the best care. I do not deeply leave them to be (unless that is how they prefer to be) I like to play with pets and get their energy out if needed.

About: I love animals have been brought up with dogs, cats since a young age. I have a lot of experience in house sitting and pet sitting. I’m kind , responsible , reliable and trust worthy. I have had dogs from when they were a puppy so have experience In training and educating puppies. I am currently working part Time , in a job that allows me To both work from home but also to work flexible hours. My job enables me to look after other dogs and cats . I have a fenced off garden. And access to a park where I can walk the dogs. The streets are very quiet around me. I will walk the dog twice a day either from my house or your house .
