Throughout the week she kept us updated with text and pictures and, by the end of the week, Honey was happily mixing with Sorrel's dogs, which was an achievement all in itself! About: I’ve had dogs around me for most of my life, and I currently have a 13-year-old dachshund who has taught me a lot over the years! I’ve cared for her from her younger, more energetic days right through to being a senior, so I’m very comfortable with both younger dogs and older dogs who need a little more patience and attention. I’m used to giving medication, following specific feeding routines and managing special diets, and I know how important it is to follow the routine that a dog is used to. I work from home, so I’m around throughout the day for company, cuddles, toilet breaks and keeping an eye on everyone. We also have a secure fenced garden, which is great for little dogs to potter around in safely. I’m only looking to care for small dogs, as that’s what I know and love best. My aim is really simple – to give your dog a safe, calm and loving home while you’re away, and to look after them the way I’d want someone to look after mine. I work from home, so I’m around throughout the day and your dog will have plenty of company. I can easily fit walks, garden breaks, feeding and playtime around my day, and I’m happy to follow the routine your dog is used to at home. I also understand that older dogs may prefer a slower pace and more rest, while younger dogs might need a little more activity and attention. I have a secure, fully fenced garden and a calm home that I share with my 13-year-old dachshund, Coco. I only take small dogs and want them to feel safe and comfortable while they’re here. Dogs are welcome to bring their own beds, blankets and favourite toys to help them settle in. We own our own home and house sit for family & friends, feed neighbour's cats, walk and feed their dogs, feed and clean rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. We would look after your animals and home as if they were our own, watering the garden etc. I work full time as a legal secretary, so currently can ony take sits where the dog may be left during the day, or I am happy to sit at weekends. A new place and people is always stressful for your dog or cat so I understand that most people would like to have their animal looked after in their own home where they will have a routine as this helps them to relax as they know what to expect from me. I now have 2 young pugs which I adore along with my 4 children. I am blessed enough to work from home, and I home educate one of my daughters who is also passionate about caring for animals. We've looked after friends dogs at times and now know it's time to share the love. We want to build on caring for small dogs specifically. We are a home from home set up and your dog will be as free and loved here as our own. I currently work part time from home, so am always available for cuddles and play and walks every day. Toilet breaks are frequent. I can care for diabetic dogs and administer insulin and medications where needed as I've cared for dogs with needs and had my own diabetic dog. About: I have had dogs since I was 5 years old - a variety of breeds. I offer a home from home service and try to keep to your dogs normal routines. I have 2 dogs of my own - a Golden Retriever and a Cockapoo - both have exceptional temperaments and are very used to other dogs visiting. I currently work part time from home on Monday to Weds lunch time hence my available times showing as Thursday to Sunday although the beginning of the week isn’t totally out of the question. When I have dogs staying I will ensure that I am around all the time. I have a large secure garden and two friendly dogs. No other pets. I will keep your dogs routine as close to their normal pattern as possible.
About: I grew up around dogs so they have always been a large part of my life. Along with my own, I often care for friends+family’s pets. I have experience with dogs of all ages - towards the end of his life, my senior dog was unable to use his back legs so he required special care and attention. Due to this, he also became incontinent so I am especially skilled with senior care. However, I am currently the owner of a pug puppy and so, I am perfectly capable of keeping up with the demands of an active puppy as well! As I am currently available all the time, he has my undivided attention, as will your dog also! I am available all the time which means constant love and care for your dog and plenty of playtime! I can also provide walks as often as needed. I have a large fenced garden which is perfect for playtime! I also have a friendly pug puppy who loves to play with other dogs and will be more than happy to share his toys & treats! She would also message me straight away if she felt anything was off, such as they were eating less, seemed bored etc and she would be willing to whatever was needed to make sure they were okay. One of our cats is quite finicky about her litter and is prone to accidents if everything isn't exactly to her liking. This same cat also developed some tummy trouble that required adjustments to her diet, keeping a close eye on her behaviour after meals, and checking the house at every visit for signs that she'd been ill. Carla sent us daily updates on this cat's health in addition to her regular updates via Rover Cards, which really helped to put our minds at ease while we were away. About: My wife and I both grew up with dogs and have always had them in our lives, so looking after them just feels natural to us. We both work from home, which means there's always someone around for company, cuddles and keeping an eye on things throughout the day. We have a friendly Goldador called Ripley who loves other dogs, so your dog will have a sociable playmate if they enjoy company. At lunchtime, we usually head straight out from our house onto the local fields and footpaths, giving plenty of space to explore, sniff around and burn off some energy. We're also big on keeping dogs mentally stimulated. Ripley has a ridiculous number of puzzle toys and enrichment games, and we're happy for visiting dogs to join in if it's something they'd enjoy. More than anything, we just want dogs staying with us to feel relaxed, have fun and be treated like part of the family while you're away Since we both work from home, your dog will have company all day. We take a proper lunch break walk, usually through the nearby fields. The rest of the day is a mix of play, puzzle toys, and cuddles, just a calm, happy routine that fits around yours. Ripley loves having doggy friends, so if your dog enjoys company, they'll have a built-in playmate. And of course, we always supervise Your dog's safety and comfort are our priority. We have a secure fenced garden for outdoor time. We're happy to follow your dog's normal routine and any training cues you've got. About: I have always cared for pets at my home from dogs to cats, stick insects to gerbils, you name it! And my passion for animal care led me to completing my BSc Animal Science (Pet Behaviour and Welfare) degree at university for four years. Alongside my veterinary nursing training, I have been pet sitting through Rover for the past few months, giving me the opportunity to care for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and personalities. I have been around dogs and cats for most of my life and currently have an English Bull Terrier puppy called Moose, along with my two cats, Cookie and Colin. Cookie is a senior cat with arthritis, so I also have personal experience caring for an older pet and understanding that every animal has their own individual needs and routine. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the sofa or simply sticking to their usual routine, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of love, attention and care while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and will always keep you updated with regular messages and photos, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. 🥰🐾 I currently work part-time as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, usually working Monday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30am–5pm or 10:30am–7pm. I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walks in Melton and surrounding areas on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, depending on my shift times and the location of the booking. I’m also available for drop-ins and walks in Corby on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and weekends, I would also be happy to do drop ins on my days off in melton and surrounding area if needed! (Additional charge for petrol over 10 miles). I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine wherever possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, medication and plenty of cuddles. I’m particularly happy to discuss individual routines with owners beforehand so we can make sure the arrangement works well for your pet. I’m still available for house sitting, although my availability depends on the individual pet and their needs. For example, I may be able to accommodate a dog who is happy being left for part of the day while I’m at work, whereas pets who need someone at home throughout the day may not be suitable for my current schedule. I’m always happy to discuss this with you before booking. I also have some flexibility depending on the length of the booking and the care your pet requires, so please feel free to message me with your dates and what your pet needs. I’d much rather discuss your pet’s individual routine and make sure I can provide the level of care they need than accept a booking that isn’t the right fit. My availability can vary slightly around my veterinary nursing rota, so I always keep my Rover calendar up to date and will confirm availability before accepting a booking. 🥰🐾 I currently offer pet care in the owner’s home rather than bringing pets to my own home. I find that many animals feel much more relaxed and comfortable staying in their familiar environment, where they have their usual routine, smells and surroundings. My priority is always making sure pets feel safe, calm and well cared for while their owners are away. As a veterinary nursing student, I am confident handling animals safely and recognising signs of stress or illness. I am experienced in administering medication, following specialised diets and making sure pets receive the care and attention they need. I will always follow the owner’s instructions closely to maintain their pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime and rest. I am also very happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand, such as going for a walk together with the owner and their dog. This allows the pet to get to know me first and helps everyone feel comfortable and confident before any booking.
