About: Growing up I’ve always been around dogs, from little chihuahua‘s to Great Danes. I frequently dog sit my grandparents yorkie when they go away, and shes old and a little reactive. I can confidently say I can care for any size dog, however if your pup is on the larger side and has reactivity issues Im not the sitter for you as I don’t have the experience or knowledge to safely care for your pup. That’s not to say big dogs are a complete no! As long as they’re friendly I’ll be happy to meet a few fur friend of any size I currently work Friday mornings part time, so plenty of time for your pets needs. Im flexible with how long I can spend with your pet, wether they need to be with me 24/7 (there is an option for them to be able to come to work with me, however it involves a lot of car travel. Please feel free to ask more about this!) or just need some company for an hour whilst your busy I currently have one cat, and shes very low maintenance. I get most of my experience from pet sitting for family members or volunteer work at shelters. I currently am able to pet sit in your own home and drop-ins for any animal, as well as solo walks for dogs (group walks can be discussed if the dogs know each other well or live together!) Your pet will be played with and loved, and above all, cared for

Please refer to my calendar for availability or feel free to send a message to ask about schedules or for any questions you have :) Currently unable to provide sitting for pets in my own home due to having a small space. But I am more than happy to take care of your babies in your home where they will likely feel more comfortable anyway!
About: I run Crick Cats & Cuddles, a fully insured pet-care business based in Crick, Northamptonshire. I offer cat sitting, small-pet care, solo dog walks and dog drop-in visits. I’m feline and canine first aid trained and really focus on getting to know each pet as an individual. I’m used to caring for confident, shy, nervous, playful and senior cats, and I always work around their normal routine so they feel as settled as possible while their owners are away. For dogs, I offer calm one-to-one walks or walks for dogs from the same household, as well as drop-in visits for toilet breaks, feeding, fresh water, play, enrichment and company. I always send photo or video updates too, so owners can see how their pets are getting on and feel reassured while they’re out or away. I run my pet-care business locally and offer cat sitting and small-pet visits throughout the week, with morning and evening availability depending on the booking. My dog walking and dog drop-in services are offered on a limited afternoon and evening basis. I plan each booking around the individual pet’s routine as much as possible, while keeping travel and other bookings in mind. Your pet’s safety, comfort and routine are always my priority. Before a first booking, I offer a free meet & greet so I can meet you and your pet, learn about their routine, behaviour, health and any important care instructions. I’m fully insured and both feline and canine first aid trained. For dog walking, I offer solo walks or dogs from the same household only, so care stays calm and personal.
About: Hey, I’ve owned pets all my life, grew up with dogs and have owned my own dogs for 5 years from a puppy. I recently rescued a young dog called Nemo, who has issues with her mobility due to a club foot. I’d love to run a doggy day care full time in the future so I’m taking the first steps towards that goal opening my home out to others. I work from home so I’m available to look after dogs throughout the day, my job involves occasional travel but I will know about this in advance, should it be a problem. I am a single mum, with a young boy called Rory. I share custody of him with his Dad so my availability varies depending on where he is. He loves dogs, and is great with them, however a toddler, my two dogs and any additional would be a bit much for me! My dogs Archer and Nemo are friendly, they absolutely love the company of other dogs and they’re always been happy to share their home when we have looked after relatives animals before. Depending on times of drop off/pick up I’m happy to take the dogs on walks along with their normal daily walks, they would love it! I currently work from home, with a small amount of travel required, which I know about in advance and can arrange pet care around this. We have an enclosed garden, stone fences all around. There is a separate dog room, to ensure maximum safety (nothing gets left lying around in there!) I work from home, so, I am on hand to let them out to play/use the toilet, and play with them as well.

About: Hi! I’m a friendly, caring and reliable animal lover who has grown up around pets my whole life. I’ve always had dogs and have also cared for cats, hamsters and rabbits, so I’m very comfortable looking after all kinds of pets and understand that every animal has their own personality and needs. I’ve regularly dog-sat for neighbours, friends and family, including both day sits and overnight stays. More recently, I’ve also helped care for two new puppies in my family, giving me plenty of hands-on experience with the extra attention, patience and care puppies need. I genuinely love being around animals and would treat your pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for while you’re away. I currently have a very flexible schedule, as I’m taking some time away from work to study Pilates and focus on building my own business. This gives me plenty of free time and flexibility throughout the week, which makes pet sitting a great fit for my lifestyle. I’m able to dedicate lots of time and attention to the pets I’m caring for, whether that’s daytime visits, longer stays or overnight sitting. I’m also able to be flexible around individual routines and can work around feeding times, walks and any specific care your pet needs. I really enjoy having animals around, so pet sitting is something I’d genuinely love to incorporate into my day-to-day life. I always aim to keep pets as close to their normal routine as possible, as I know this helps them feel comfortable and settled. I make sure they have regular toilet breaks, plenty of fresh water and lots of opportunities for play, exercise and stimulation throughout the day. I’m very happy to spend plenty of time keeping pets company, whether that’s playing with them, giving them cuddles or simply being around them so they don’t feel lonely. I’m also comfortable using crates when this is part of their usual routine and would always follow the owner’s instructions around crate time and sleeping arrangements. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs and personality, and I’m happy to follow their usual feeding, walking, sleeping and play routines. Most importantly, I want them to feel safe, happy and cared for while their owners are away.

“Shernai was great for Freddie. It was our first time using this app, so concerns and overprotective thoughts regarding Freddie were always on our mind. However Shernai dealt with all of them in the nicest way possible, making sure to send us updates regarding Freddie and his wellbeing, he loved her! She gave him the nicest cuddles. It was a spot on choice to select Shernai to take care of him, will definitely contact her in the future !”

If I could give more than 5 stars then I would. The service Claire provided was out of this world. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
