“Ok so we have tried this for the 1st tine so we can have a weekend away. I was so apprehensive and concerned as Dave is a very boisterous boy but Wow ? Dave never relaxes around people but with Stef he was so different. He took to Steph straight away which in itself is rare and he was playing with her and generally being the happy dog he is. ? it has been amazing to watch and now I have no concerns with Steph staying overnight with Dave when we go away ??”

“Sze looked after our dog for one week. She did exactly what I asked her to do. Every day we were notified when she would be going to Doggo and we received pictures and updates every time.🥰 She did an amazing job and if you need someone to look after your dog, she is the perfect person!!!!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over a year and now work full-time as a pet sitter. I love giving each pet the time, attention, and affection they deserve, whether it’s through cuddle breaks, playtime, or walks in the nearby parks. Living close to beautiful green spaces means every walk is an adventure, and your pet will always enjoy plenty of fresh air and fun. Both pets and their owners are always happy after their stay as I make sure every pet feels loved and cared for, and I always keep owners updated so they can relax while away. I live in a ground-floor flat. My home is comfy, pet-friendly, and always supervised, with lots of cuddles and playtime to make them feel happy and secure.

“Gemma was great for our dog visit! Came round to meet the dogs beforehand, dropped us confirmation the night before, and then during the stay kept us updated. Highly recommended.”

“I was delighted to have Rebecca booked for a first pet visit. Unfortunately, Larry's first time at home in the dark was difficult for him. Rebecca showed care and concern and made the judgement call to stay with him beyond what was booked, to ensure he remained settled until I returned home. I really value Rebecca's commitment and care to her work”

“Eleanor was such a help coming to check in on Leo. He was very happy when we got home and Eleanor kept us updated with photos also! Would definitely ask Eleanor to drop in on Leo again in the future ☺️”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have always been taught valuable tips/tricks. I pride myself in giving them a fulfilling time be that play time, physical exercise or just a lap to snuggle up on! I am completely flexible to start looking after your fur babies! 🤍More than happy for last minute services etc! (More so when I’ve already met you and your pet as it can just be a smooth pass over then) if it’s a new pet I’d like a booking in advance just so we can have more time to discuss and meet if needed :) I am constantly on the look out for any potential dangers or concerns and I’m very intuitive to any strange/unusual behaviour to your individual pet.
“Tara took great care of our cat during our absence. Our cat had someone taking care of the meals, a friend to play with and looks very happy now we are back home. I will likely book with Tara again”

About: I’m a dedicated and trusted pet sitter, having established great relationships with owners and their pets since starting petsitting in 2021. I have lots of regular clients, and would also be very happy to help if you need a petsitter as a one-off. I love looking after people’s furbabies, and my clients are very grateful for the peace of mind I give them when taking care of their animals. I take pride in my attention to detail, making careful notes about each animal when I meet their owners, so I can give them the very best care possible. When I'm looking after pets in their own homes, you can also have peace of mind that your home will be kept immaculate and - most importantly - safe while you're away. I'm currently undertaking a career break and am studying online, meaning I have a lot of free time to help you. I would be more than happy to come and care for your animals in your own home, whether it’s drop in visits or to stay for a few days. When supervising dogs in an owner’s garden I will always be close by to keep an eye on them, and of course to play with them! I am very cautious and work with safety in mind at all times. I love routine and will ensure I adhere to yours and your pete' right down to the detail as to keep them as happy as calm as possible.

About: I’ve only ever looked after dogs for short periods, including fostering dogs from rescue centre, but not had the pleasure of owning my own. I have lots of experience with caring for dogs, walking and training and have lots of experience owning and caring for cats. I work but remotely from home so plenty of time during the day to care for animals, walk dogs, and give plenty of cuddles to make them feel at home. We have a big safe house and a fenced garden where we welcome dogs to enjoy themselves and play. We’re quite happy having dogs in our home.
About: Volunteered for a number of different dog charities before working in rescue and now working as a Dog Trainer. I have dog sat for friends and have thoroughly enjoyed doing so. I currently work Monday to Friday, 9-5. I am looking to do mainly at your home dog sitting on the weekends with some week evenings able to be covered. I will try to be as flexible as I can with each owner. When in an owner's home, I ensure the dog is comfortable and happy at all times and try to follow the routine you have with your pet already to minimise the stress on your dog. Your dog's wellbeing is my priority when dog sitting and dog walking.
About: I’ve owned dogs previously & grew up with dogs. From German shepherds to French bulldogs, I have owned, loved & cared for. Alll dogs have had good levels of training from myself with time & dedication. I will make time available as I don’t just want to support those that need help but also love taking care of animals. I understand routines are important for those with their loved (furry) family I have a small garden that is brick walled & there are parks next door to my home. Allowing feasibility for walks… having owned both dogs & cats I’m aware of their individual needs
“I will be using Madalina from now on, she is reliable, trustworthy and has been wonderful with Charlie. We have come home to a very relaxed and blissfully happy cat, that is not the easiest of characters, so Madalina really is a cat whisperer because she has tamed him! I would recommend her whole-heartedly.”
About: I have over a 8 years of experience dog walking and taking care of dogs. I was also a puppy trainer for over a year in San Francisco. I have learned how to train and manage dogs directly from professional and highly accredited dog trainers. I spent about 15 hours a week with 8+ puppies but I still somehow can't get enough of them! Ever since moving to UK, I have been in desperate need of some puppy love:) Over the past 6 years, I have dealt with extremely old dogs, crazy puppies, rescues, and everything in between. I am happy to take on any challenge as long as it is clarified beforehand! I am a full time Environmental Consultant but am happy to do early morning, lunchtime, evening, and weekend walks! But for this reason I am currently inactive when it comes to boarding and house sitting. I am open to helping out for a long weekends. I will make sure to follow all specified guidelines as well as go above and beyond to keep your pet safe. If your pet is staying with me, I have a fenced backyard with lots of space as well as a safe environment indoors.

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Warwick
I would definitely recommend Sze Ching. She was always reliable and would go out of her way to ensure our cat was looked after. She sent me photos every day and messaged me with updates daily. Sze is a lovely bubbly, bright and friendly person who I felt comfortable leaving our elderly cat with.

Amazing from start to finish and really gave me peace of mind that’s my fur babies were ok, especially as I had to go away at short notice and Carol responded quickly. Great communication, really easy to sort out, no issues whatsoever, will definitely book again in future :)
Ella has been exemplary in her approach taking care of my cat, Sasha. Whilst I was away I never once worried about Sasha because Ella was very communicative with texts photos and videos most days of my 21 day break. I would recommend her to anyone who truly loves their pet(s) I'll certainly be using her again in future. Highly recommended. Thanks for everything!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
