“Wilf is a friendly but shy dog. Luna did an excellent job being patient and understanding with him. She made a real effort to encourage him to eat, drink, play, and go outside to toilet. Lovely to see the photo and video updates of him so we were reassured he was happy without us. Delighted with the care she provided. Wilf was in good hands.”

“Ok so we have tried this for the 1st tine so we can have a weekend away. I was so apprehensive and concerned as Dave is a very boisterous boy but Wow ? Dave never relaxes around people but with Stef he was so different. He took to Steph straight away which in itself is rare and he was playing with her and generally being the happy dog he is. ? it has been amazing to watch and now I have no concerns with Steph staying overnight with Dave when we go away ??”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over a year and now work full-time as a pet sitter. I love giving each pet the time, attention, and affection they deserve, whether it’s through cuddle breaks, playtime, or walks in the nearby parks. Living close to beautiful green spaces means every walk is an adventure, and your pet will always enjoy plenty of fresh air and fun. Both pets and their owners are always happy after their stay as I make sure every pet feels loved and cared for, and I always keep owners updated so they can relax while away. I live in a ground-floor flat. My home is comfy, pet-friendly, and always supervised, with lots of cuddles and playtime to make them feel happy and secure.

“Gemma did a fantastic job! She was very thorough, caring, and kept me updated with regular photos - it was a relief to know the cats were well looked after. Would definitely book again.”

About: Volunteered for a number of different dog charities before working in rescue and now working as a Dog Trainer. I have dog sat for friends and have thoroughly enjoyed doing so. I currently work Monday to Friday, 9-5. I am looking to do mainly at your home dog sitting on the weekends with some week evenings able to be covered. I will try to be as flexible as I can with each owner. When in an owner's home, I ensure the dog is comfortable and happy at all times and try to follow the routine you have with your pet already to minimise the stress on your dog. Your dog's wellbeing is my priority when dog sitting and dog walking.

About: I've cared for pet dogs and cats for many years and understand their feeding schedules, litter habits, walking routines, and their needs to be mentally engaged and active. I understand that pets are family and I treat them with love and respect. I currently work from home so I can ensure your pet is taken care of. Since I work remotely, I’m easy to take your pet out for walks or feed them through the day. My apartment is in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa where there are loads of gardens and walking areas. The house is secure and gated.
“Tara took great care of our cat during our absence. Our cat had someone taking care of the meals, a friend to play with and looks very happy now we are back home. I will likely book with Tara again”

“I was delighted to have Rebecca booked for a first pet visit. Unfortunately, Larry's first time at home in the dark was difficult for him. Rebecca showed care and concern and made the judgement call to stay with him beyond what was booked, to ensure he remained settled until I returned home. I really value Rebecca's commitment and care to her work”

“Molly was really great with our 3 cats. She was happy to do the insulin injections for our girl. We got regular updates, clear communication and all the agreed visits at the right time. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for cat drop ins”

“Eleanor takes great care of our cats - it is clear from the photos she sends that they are happy around her and enjoy all the fuss and attention she gives them. We would book again without a second thought.”

About: I grew up around cats and dogs and loved spending time with animals. I would regularly take my own dog on long walks and spent long hours playing with my cat and her many litters of kittens. After a few years not-so-patiently waiting for the right time, my partner and I have recently got a dog of our own, our lovely puppy Goji, who has brought a lot of joy to us since moving in with us. We have gained a lot of hands-on experience caring for and training him which has made us both a lot more confident looking after other people’s dogs. I love going on dog walks, especially long walks in the countryside, so your dog would have no shortage of exercise with me! My partner and I have recently relocated to Bath and have bought a house here. We both work from home five days a week so can take your dog for a walk during lunch. Since we have a garden I can also let your dog out during the day. I can easily crate your dog if needed, take it for walks and give it its food at meal times. I’d love to make your dog/cat feel at home with me!
“I will be using Madalina from now on, she is reliable, trustworthy and has been wonderful with Charlie. We have come home to a very relaxed and blissfully happy cat, that is not the easiest of characters, so Madalina really is a cat whisperer because she has tamed him! I would recommend her whole-heartedly.”
About: I have 5 rescue dogs back home in South Africa with 2 who started off as fosters. I have volunteered at dog shelters since I was 13 and worked at a veterinary clinic in high school behind reception and sat in on some procedures. All of my dogs are incredibly different so I am used to a range of temperaments. Whether that is a very reserved nature or an animal that’s had a traumatic start, I feel very comfortable making sure they feel safe and looking after them. My mom has a Netflix show about the reward of rescuing animals and how they can influence our lives. I’m looking to walk, pet sit, and/or pop in to feed animals in the area. I would love to meet your furry children ☺️ I currently live in the centre of Leamington Spa, working from home two days a week. I would be available for walks/ drops ins / housesitting primarily on weekends, or weekday evenings depending on my work schedule. When I’m with animals, I’m ultra aware of the what I can do to make them comfortable, whether it’s timings for medication, checking water bowls or keeping their anxiety to a minimum. My home is not allowed pets currently but I am used to having my animals in my home in South Africa. I care for them with lots of affection, feeds, walks, playing and taking as many photos of them as possible.

Amazing from start to finish and really gave me peace of mind that’s my fur babies were ok, especially as I had to go away at short notice and Carol responded quickly. Great communication, really easy to sort out, no issues whatsoever, will definitely book again in future :)
Ella has been exemplary in her approach taking care of my cat, Sasha. Whilst I was away I never once worried about Sasha because Ella was very communicative with texts photos and videos most days of my 21 day break. I would recommend her to anyone who truly loves their pet(s) I'll certainly be using her again in future. Highly recommended. Thanks for everything!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
