“Ok so we have tried this for the 1st tine so we can have a weekend away. I was so apprehensive and concerned as Dave is a very boisterous boy but Wow ? Dave never relaxes around people but with Stef he was so different. He took to Steph straight away which in itself is rare and he was playing with her and generally being the happy dog he is. ? it has been amazing to watch and now I have no concerns with Steph staying overnight with Dave when we go away ??”

“Gemma is a very trustworthy person, and we’re so grateful she helped us for the second time with our cat Itsy Bitsy. ❤️ She is kind, reliable and clearly cares about animals, which gave us real peace of mind. Thank you so much, Gemma we appreciate you.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over a year and now work full-time as a pet sitter. I love giving each pet the time, attention, and affection they deserve, whether it’s through cuddle breaks, playtime, or walks in the nearby parks. Living close to beautiful green spaces means every walk is an adventure, and your pet will always enjoy plenty of fresh air and fun. Both pets and their owners are always happy after their stay as I make sure every pet feels loved and cared for, and I always keep owners updated so they can relax while away. I live in a ground-floor flat. My home is comfy, pet-friendly, and always supervised, with lots of cuddles and playtime to make them feel happy and secure.

About: I have lived with pets my whole life, looking after golden retrievers and cats. I love going on walks anyway so having a dog to look after is always a bonus! I have just moved to Leamington Spa and am currently looking for work. I am available during weekdays from 9am - 5pm to help :) I make sure my dog is well looked after at home, letting him out when needed, playing, walking him when required and giving him his food.
“Sze looked after our cats Salt and Pepper over Christmas Day and Boxing Day. I cannot recommend her enough! She responded to messages almost instantly and came to meet me prior to the day with no issues. She gave us consistent and thorough updates which helped relieve our worries at leaving the kitties. She sent us a lot of pictures as updates which was also fantastic. If you need someone to look after your pet please choose Sze!”

“This was the second time Luna took care of Sheldon, and it was just as great as the first. Sheldon received excellent care, and Luna provided detailed updates throughout, which was very reassuring. It’s clear that she genuinely loves what she does, and that really shows in the way she looks after him. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.”

“Hollie is SO lovely. We recently had Hollie and her adorable daughter looking after our 2 cats and 7 chickens. I couldn’t fault her, she’s such a nice person and is great with animals. She went above and beyond and would highly recommend her :) We’re so glad we’ve found someone we can trust to look after our animals when we go away and will be using Hollie again for all our future holidays. Thanks so much Hollie :) xx”

“I was delighted to have Rebecca booked for a first pet visit. Unfortunately, Larry's first time at home in the dark was difficult for him. Rebecca showed care and concern and made the judgement call to stay with him beyond what was booked, to ensure he remained settled until I returned home. I really value Rebecca's commitment and care to her work”

About: Volunteered for a number of different dog charities before working in rescue and now working as a Dog Trainer. I have dog sat for friends and have thoroughly enjoyed doing so. I currently work Monday to Friday, 9-5. I am looking to do mainly at your home dog sitting on the weekends with some week evenings able to be covered. I will try to be as flexible as I can with each owner. When in an owner's home, I ensure the dog is comfortable and happy at all times and try to follow the routine you have with your pet already to minimise the stress on your dog. Your dog's wellbeing is my priority when dog sitting and dog walking.
About: I grew up with dogs, from a Cavalier King Charles to a mixed breed rescue dog and genuinely love all dogs and breeds. In 2023 we welcomed a gorgeous and cheeky border terrier puppy Digsy to our family. I have used Rover myself to find sitters for Digs so I understand how important it is to know you are leaving your pet in safe hands. With us, your dog will have a cosy and fun time so you can enjoy your time away without any concerns. Either myself or my husband Tom are at home during the day and your pet will get plenty of attention from our 10-year-old son too. Digsy is super friendly with other dogs and we have a secure, enclosed garden for them to run around in. I am happy to consider looking after any dog that is well behaved and as long as they are sociable and safe around other dogs/children. Myself or my husband Tom work from home most of the week and at weekends we always spend time out and about with our own dog so your pet will get plenty of attention and exercise. I have a secure, fenced garden. At nighttime, my dog sleeps downstairs in the kitchen/hallway and is not allowed upstairs at all - please let me know your preferences for your own dog and we will look to accommodate them. Pets are allowed on the sofa and we enjoy nothing more than cuddling up with them in the evening.
“Dolun's an absolute star and Kasha loves their time together. Dolun's consistently been flexible, reliable and helpful, and really understood and gave Kasha time to adjust. Really appreciated all the lovely updates while we were away, it helped tremendously to know that everything was OK and Kasha was happy! Couldn't have asked for a better sitter!”

“Tara took great care of our cat during our absence. Our cat had someone taking care of the meals, a friend to play with and looks very happy now we are back home. I will likely book with Tara again”

“Eleanor has been brilliant during her visits to our two cats, one of whom needs medication. She came to visit before we were away and our cats were immediately at ease with her. She inspires confidence and made us feel very reassured with her feedback and photos after each visit. We would not hesitate to recommend her :)”

About: I've cared for pet dogs and cats for many years and understand their feeding schedules, litter habits, walking routines, and their needs to be mentally engaged and active. I understand that pets are family and I treat them with love and respect. I currently work from home so I can ensure your pet is taken care of. Since I work remotely, I’m easy to take your pet out for walks or feed them through the day. My apartment is in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa where there are loads of gardens and walking areas. The house is secure and gated.
“I will be using Madalina from now on, she is reliable, trustworthy and has been wonderful with Charlie. We have come home to a very relaxed and blissfully happy cat, that is not the easiest of characters, so Madalina really is a cat whisperer because she has tamed him! I would recommend her whole-heartedly.”

Ella has been exemplary in her approach taking care of my cat, Sasha. Whilst I was away I never once worried about Sasha because Ella was very communicative with texts photos and videos most days of my 21 day break. I would recommend her to anyone who truly loves their pet(s) I'll certainly be using her again in future. Highly recommended. Thanks for everything!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
