This includes keeping to the pets same routine, and rules to ensure the pet feels relaxed in its own environment, as well as safe.

“Wow, did we get lucky with Lucie. We cannot say enough about how great it was to work with Lucie who looked after our two cats in our home. From even before we left she was willing to come by meet the guys, see where everything was and was very much the attention to detail type of person we were looking for, who you can tell cares for the animals as if they were her own. During the trip, her communications was amazing with daily check ins and photo's, our cats loved her from day one and we could tell from the video's that they were very much at ease with her and happy as can be to have her stopping by each day. For over two weeks she looked after our cats and we didn't have a single worry in the world. When we returned the cats had put on some extra weight :) but the house was clean, litter box area immaculate. We could not have asked for a better first experience using this service. About: I’ve always had a huge love for animals and have plenty of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I spent six months volunteering at a dog rescue centre in Barbados, where I helped care for rescue dogs of different ages, sizes and backgrounds. My responsibilities included feeding, walking, general care and, of course, giving them plenty of love and attention. At home, my mum and I have two dogs of our own, including a rescue dog we brought home from Barbados, so caring for dogs is a big part of my everyday life. I’ve also regularly dog sat for friends and family, as well as caring for cats while family members have been away. I understand how important it is to know your pet is with someone you can trust, and I’ll always treat every animal in my care with the same love and attention I give my own. 🐾 I work a mixture of locally and from home, so my routine varies depending on the day. On my local working days, pets will be cared for in the morning before I leave, including feeding, toilet breaks and a walk where needed. As I work locally, I’m able to come home during the day, so dogs would need to be comfortable being left for up to around 4 hours at a time. I’m then home from around 5:30pm for the evening, with plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles and attention. On my work-from-home days, I’ll be home all day with the pets, so they’ll have plenty of company and attention throughout the day, as well as their usual walks, feeding and toilet breaks. At weekends, I’m fully available to spend my time with the animals in my care and will always do my best to keep to their normal routine. 🐾 I’ll always look after your pets in their own home, where they’re most comfortable and can stick to the routine they’re used to. I’m happy to follow whatever routine you normally have, whether that’s feeding times, walks, playtime, toilet breaks or just lots of cuddles and attention! I know every pet is different, so I’ll always take the time to get to know them and what they like. I’m also more than happy to send photos and little updates while you’re away, so you know they’re happy, settled and being well looked after.

About: I had the pleasure of looking after my best friends dog for 6 months and really loved the companionship I had and he also really helped our whole household to get through the 2020's lockdown year. All my life, all animals have had a calming influence on me. I studied Animal Management and Welfare for 3 years.
