About: My journey as a pet sitter started when a friend needed someone urgently—I stepped in, and word of mouth quickly took over. Soon, friends of friends began reaching out, and what started as a favour turned into something I genuinely love. Since I’m not able to have a pet at home, I cherish every opportunity to care for others' animals and make the most of each experience. Whether it’s a playful puppy or a senior pet needing extra attention, I treat every animal with love, patience, and personalised care as if they were my own. I work from home full time and honestly need a few distractions during the day—so a fluffy cuddle is always welcome! Pet care fits in naturally with my routine. I’m available to house sit (I just need an office set up and an available screen), and I can do drop-in visits and walks around lunchtime and after 4 p.m. It’s a great way to break up my workday and spend time with animals, which I love. When caring for pets in a pet owner's home, I prioritize their safety and comfort, as well as the security of the home. I make sure that any areas the pet has access to are pet-proofed, ensuring there are no hazards like open doors, toxic plants, or dangerous objects. I’m very attentive to each pet’s specific needs, whether it’s sticking to their regular routine, giving medications, or making sure they get enough exercise. Since I work from home, I’m able to offer constant supervision, providing pets with the attention and care they deserve. I make sure to follow any instructions the pet owner gives to ensure the pet feels as comfortable and safe as possible. Whether it's during a house sit or just a walk, the pet’s well-being is my top priority.

Wow, did we get lucky with Lucie. We cannot say enough about how great it was to work with Lucie who looked after our two cats in our home. From even before we left she was willing to come by meet the guys, see where everything was and was very much the attention to detail type of person we were looking for, who you can tell cares for the animals as if they were her own. During the trip, her communications was amazing with daily check ins and photo's, our cats loved her from day one and we could tell from the video's that they were very much at ease with her and happy as can be to have her stopping by each day. For over two weeks she looked after our cats and we didn't have a single worry in the world. When we returned the cats had put on some extra weight :) but the house was clean, litter box area immaculate. We could not have asked for a better first experience using this service. We will be calling Lucie again, not doubt about it. Thank you Lucie Hugo and Lewy say Thank you!

About: I had the pleasure of looking after my best friends dog for 6 months and really loved the companionship I had and he also really helped our whole household to get through the 2020's lockdown year. All my life, all animals have had a calming influence on me. I studied Animal Management and Welfare for 3 years. I have continued to dog walk and dog sit for friends and acquaintances from my teenage years. Looking after all animals, but dogs especially has always been a huge pleasure for me. I currently work full time but my job is very flexible and I can work my life around my job when and if I need to for anything I would prefer to look after pets at their owners houses. But if needed I have a 3 bedroom house with reasonable paved garden (no grass in garden) but have a currently young baby (2 ½ months old) in the house

About: My name is Chi, and I’m excited to meet your furbabies! As a cat owner of two, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust. I love caring for animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. I’ve been a cat sitter in Wellingborough for three years, with great feedback from pet owners. I communicate clearly and regularly, sharing updates and photos so you have peace of mind. My home visits usually last around one hour, allowing time for feeding, cleaning, play, and companionship. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority, and I carefully follow all instructions and routines. I also offer one-hour dog walks, including playtime in the park. If you need a reliable and caring sitter, I’d be happy to help! I'm currently working full time, so I'm available for pet sitting during the weekend at the moment. For weekdays, please contact me after working hours (5pm). I can walk your dogs, feed your cats, clean litter box and give them medication if needed. I can also brush your dogs or cats.

Earls Barton, NN6

About: Based in Earls Barton, job hunting after 4 months solo travelling Asia (you could always find me hanging with the dogs and cats in the hostels and cafes!). With over a decade of pet sitting experience, I am able to provide consistent care with treats, training, games, exercise - I’ll adapt to the needs of your dog to ensure they have the best care! My days are 100% flexible so I can maintain any schedule your dog is used to. I have a senior Beagle at home, he is very relaxed and friendly with other dogs - for boarding and day care he will be great company but I am also able to keep pooches in separate rooms if needed. Also have an escape-proof garden for doggies to play / snooze as desired. I’ve cared for our 15 year old Beagle for 12 years, he’s a rescue and we’ve had him since he was 2. Early on he required a lot of attention, lots of training - like many rescues we weren’t sure exactly what to expect so it took lots of patience and treats! He’s now a slightly grumpy senior dog with limited mobility, and requires more physical assistance but less training and attention during the day (he’s probably asleep). I regularly pet sit friends dogs including Bonnie (super friendly 4 year old Chihuahua mix), Peggy (enthusiastic 6 year old Springer), and Misha (lively 4 year old Pomeranian). Misha is great with people but very anti social with other dogs. Through Rover I have experience caring for senior dogs and reactive / stubborn dogs - Safe to say I have looked after some great little pals with a range of needs. I’m currently living at home, job hunting for a full time position. I like to keep my weekends free but I am free all week to pet sit and house visit on short notice. I have a fenced garden and a very chilled out senior beagle for your pet to hang out with. I live next to a track leading down to a huge green open space next to the river great for long walks.

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Wellingborough

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Wellingborough on Rover is £11.5 per Visit (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Many sitters respond to requests in under an hour. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
