“Danielle was communicative and more than happy to adapt to the needs of our crazy collies. We came home to happy, healthy dogs and a tidy home with lots of lovely pictures and updates sent during our time away!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals all my life as I grew up with dogs, cats and ponies. I began my working life in the 1980’s as a veterinary nurse for a few years and then a dairy hand, raising calves in Israel for several years. On my return to England I began free lance yard work at various livery stables and house sitter for large and small animals. As this is my full time employment, all my care and attention will be focused on your pets, so plenty of time for walks and play, depending on your dogs needs. I have a fenced garden and a friendly miniature bull terrier for company. We go on lots of walks and as I have a car, we travel to some lovely woods and country walks. I’ve been house sitting for a few years now so am pretty adept at finding new walks in new areas and navigating a variety of kitchens ( almost more tricky than going out for a walk! ). House sitting allows me to keep the animals of the household in their routine, care for all the pets there and keep an eye on the property itself.
“Was grateful to Brad who answered our call at relatively short notice. He is punctual and very clear in his attitude towards his service. We couldn’t have asked for more. Little Jim requires a fair bit of attention which he received. Wouldn’t hesitate to use Brad again. Thank you.”

About: We are a married couple who have been living and teaching in Dubai for the past 25 years. During that time, we happily raised our two children here, and this year we’ve just seen our youngest follow her brother to university in the UK. With this exciting new chapter ahead, we’re ready for a new adventure—combining our love of travel with our lifelong love of dogs. Dogs have always been an important part of our lives. Over the years, we have fostered dogs and we adopted our lovely retriever Lizzie, who was a truly cherished member of our family. We’ve also cared for a variety of family dogs and dog sit poochies - including: dachsunds, cockapoos, spaniels, terriers, mixed breed, bichons and weimaraners - Deb grew up with a labrador - so we’re very comfortable with furry friends of different breeds, personalities, and needs. We also have excellent dog-sit references and reviews. We are genuine dog lovers who believe dogs should be part of everyday life. Long walks, companionship, and plenty of affection are all part of our routine. We’re calm, reliable, clean, and tidy, and we take great pride in being respectful of other people’s homes. When we stay in your home, we will treat it as if it were our own, and your dog as if they were part of our family. Myself and my wife are semi-retired teachers who work from home. We are therefore extremely flexible regarding location and the duration of the sit. We offer a bespoke service that will adhere to the requirements of the dog owner and the needs of our furry friend. We will provide a safe and loving environment while you are away.

“Caryn was amazing! Looked after our fur babies wonderfully, lots of picture updates which was lovely to see. Caryn went above and beyond and we felt so reassured our babies were in safe hands, left the house immaculate, would definitely recommend Caryn”

“Helen looked after our three dogs over the weekend, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. All three dogs were very well looked after, and were clearly happy and content during their time with Helen. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We would definitely recommend Helen to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter. Thank you, Helen! 🐾”

About: I care for your pets in your home thereby offering a bespoke one to one service giving you and your pets 100% of my attention, love and care. This is my full-time occupation, so I will not be leaving your pets for long periods of time to work elsewhere. They will receive my full undivided attention. I understand that leaving your home and pets can be stressful. My priority is to maintain your pets normal feeding, walking, and sleeping schedules to blend seamlessly into their normal routine whilst also looking after your home. I can assure you that I am deeply respectful of your home and will leave it exceptionally clean and tidy for your return. I am happy to water plants, collect mail, and take out the bins while you are away. Also, I will send you regular photo and text updates, unless you prefer me not to. I am fully background-checked (enhanced DBS), insured, and canine first aid certified and comfortable administering medications if required. I have experience with reactive dogs, senior cats and dogs and small mammals. Finally, I offer a free no obligation meet and greet to discuss you and your pets’ needs. I look forward to hearing from you. Pet sitting is my full time occupation, so I offer 24 hour care of your pets in your home. This works well for anxious pets who do not cope well with alternative boarding services such as kennels and catteries. They get to stay in the comfort of their own home, following their usual routines, and getting spoilt rotten by me. I can assure you that I am deeply respectful of your home and will leave it exceptionally clean and tidy for your return. I am happy to water plants, collect mail, and take out the bins while you are away. Also, I will send you regular photo and text updates, unless you prefer me not to. I offer a free meet and greet prior to you booking my services, during which all your pets needs are discussed and agreed upon. I also ask you to complete a form detailing all of your pets needs for me to refer back to during the sit. I can assure you that I am deeply respectful of your home and will leave it exceptionally clean and tidy for your return. I am happy to water plants, collect mail, and take out the bins while you are away - all of which indicates that your house is occupied and therefore more secure.

About: I've taken care of cats and dogs since I was 10 years old. My friends and family rely on me to look after theirs when they go on holiday. I love spending time with them and look after the stray cats in my neighborhood. I'm currently working part time. I will have plenty of time to look after and play with your pets. I can do the occasional weekends when I don't have plans. I have a fenced garden where my cats feel safe. I however won't be able to look after your cats in my home due to me having my own

About: Hi, I’m Phoebe, an experienced and reliable dog walker who genuinely loves spending time with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. I’ve had hands-on experience with a range of dogs, from gentle, easygoing companions like my own Lab/collie Milo (“Spuds”) to energetic, intelligent pups like my new addition golden retriever Goose. I understand that every dog is different, and I always adapt my approach to suit their individual needs; whether that’s a calm, steady walk, a fun and engaging play session, or simply providing company and reassurance. My two friendly, well-socialised dogs will join your pooch (unless you specified otherwise), on a pack walk, drop-in session or day-care adventure. This is a particularly great socialisation opportunity for dogs who enjoy canine company, come from a single-pup household or would benefit from some confidence building with other dogs in a safe and controlled environment. I’m confident with reinforcing good behaviour both inside the home and whilst out and about. Safety, trust, and making sure your dog feels happy and comfortable are always my top priorities. Pet care fits really naturally into my day as I work part-time from home, so I have a lot of flexibility. I tend to start my mornings early, which works perfectly for dogs who need a good walk or some attention before the day gets busy. Because I’m home-based, I can plan my day around the dogs I’m looking after, whether that’s longer walks, more active playtime, or just keeping them company so they’re not left on their own for too long. I’m able to be present and not rushed, which I think makes a big difference. It’s something I genuinely enjoy building into my routine, not squeezing in, so each dog gets the time, care, and attention they need to feel happy and settled. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I’m based in a quiet, rural area with access to safe walking routes and open spaces, ideal for calm, enjoyable walks and enrichment. My approach is always centred around creating a positive, secure, and stress-free experience for every dog in my care. My two friendly, well-socialised dogs, Milo (“Spuds”) and Goose, can also be involved in walks where appropriate, giving your dog the opportunity to enjoy positive pack walks, socialisation, and confidence-building in a safe and controlled environment. Whether I’m caring for your dog during walks, drop-in visits, or pet sitting in your own home, I take a thoughtful and attentive approach, ensuring the environment is safe, familiar, and suited to their needs. I stick closely to your dog’s usual routine, including feeding, exercise, and any specific instructions, so they feel settled and comfortable. I never leave dogs unsupervised and am confident handling different personalities, from energetic and playful to more sensitive, nervous or relaxed dogs, always prioritising calm, positive interactions. You can trust that your dog will be cared for as if they were my own; safe, well looked after, and given plenty of attention, affection, and reassurance while placed in my care.

About: I am a second year veterinary student with a lifelong passion for animals and hands-on-experience caring for a wide range of pets. Growing up with animals, I have trained my own dogs and regularly care for family, friends and neighbours dogs. Through my veterinary studies, I have developed knowledge of animal behaviour, handling, health and welfare allowing me to easily spot if any health issues arise in your pet. I have also completed placements at a dog and cat boarding kennel and an animal rescue centre giving me practical experience working with animals of different ages, temperaments and needs. I provide reliable and compassionate care, treating every pet as if they were my own. I have recently completed my second year of veterinary studies and am available for pet care from now until 28th September. My schedule is highly flexible including week days and weekends allowing me to accommodate a wide range of pet care needs. Please note that I have veterinary placement commitments during the weeks commencing 17th august and 24th august 2026. During these two weeks, I will be available on weekday evenings after 6pm and throughout the weekends. Outside of these dates, I am available throughout the day and can offer a high degree of flexibility to suit owners schedules. When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritise maintaining their usual routine to help them feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I follow all instructions provided regarding feeding, exercise medication and any specific care requirements ensuring each pet receives attentive and individual care. I take the time to provide companionship, enrichment and exercise appropriate to the pets needs while monitoring their health and wellbeing. As a veterinary student, I am familiar with animal behaviour allowing me to recognise signs of stress, illness or discomfort and respond appropriately. I also treat owners houses with respect, keeping the area clean and tidy and providing regular updates and photos for peace of mind. My aim is to ensure both pets and owners feel relaxed and confident throughout the pet sitting experience.
“If you're heading to Alton Towers and need a place to leave your dog, Lorena's the spot. She lives just 20 minutes away, so it was a great choice to drop off and pick up our dog when we were done for the day. Her house is lovely, with a nice garden, and she welcomed our dog with open arms. Lorena was great, and our dog was thrilled with her. We'd for sure do this again if we come back to the UK.”
“Lesley is a genuine 5-star dog sitter, and we 100% recommend her. She is incredibly patient and has a wonderful way of helping dogs feel calm and reassured, especially those who can become nervous, anxious, or overexcited when their owners leave. She takes the time to build trust, allowing each dog to settle at their own pace. As a highly experienced dog owner and PAT dog handler, Lesley understands dog behaviour and knows how to adapt to each dog's individual personality and needs. It's clear that she genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after, and that comes across in everything she does. If you're looking for someone who will treat your dog with kindness, patience, and understanding, you won't find many better. Whether your dog is confident or needs a little extra reassurance, you can leave them with Lesley knowing they'll be in safe, caring hands. A truly 5-star sitter, and someone we would recommend without hesitation.”

About: After Losing My childhood Dog last year I’ve taken to looking after my family and friends pets to fill a void . i’ve completed a level 3 diploma in animal management at college and have a naturally caring nature when it comes to animals. At the moment i’m puppy sitting two puppies weekly including having to care and nurture them overnight. My shipoo (Ronnie) lived a comfortable and happy life until he was 14 years old . This has given me experience looking after a senior dog as he needed many hours of care and attention through his last few months of his life. As i have a big family who all share the same love for pets as me , it’s given me plenty of opportunities over my lifetime to get the confidence i have with dogs . As i currently work as a cook in a nursing home i have had a DBS check :) I do 33 hours in a week and i do them as 3 ,11 hours shifts . my rota cover 4 weeks so its best for me to work on short notice. I work part time and my rota covers 4 weeks so if you’re looking for a pet sitter for a spontaneous weekend away i’m perfect to book. i’m very adaptable and will adjust to any rules you have for your pets . i’m comfortable with the thought of your pet sleeping in the bed or crate. I’m only available for pet sitting at the owners home as i think it’s better and less stressful for your dog to keep in there routines.
“Lara was terrific. She got along with our dog instantly. She asked good questions about exercise, routine, food… We felt very comfortable having her stay in the house and we retuned to clean home with a happy dog. We will definitely book her again.”

“Absolutely fabulous. Ionela looked after our 3 dogs with great care and compassion. We have a rescue dog who is very wary of humans, but was so very relaxed with Ionela. She even looked after our hamster. Would highly recommend.”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Doveridge
It's always an absolute joy having Danielle look after our cat, Maddie. She is calm, diligent, trustworthy and keeps me up to date on progress.... this was especially important this time as Maddie had been seriously ill prior to our going away. Whilst she was 100% recovered, if it hadn't been Danielle taking care of her, we wouldn't have entertained going.
