“Charley is everything you want in a sitter and more!! It was clear at the Meet and Greet that they were going to get on and the happy dog that greeted us on our return proved that! She was a well looked after dog and the house was spotless! Such care had clearly been taken and I can’t thank Charley enough for that, along with the updates and photos. I’m hoping that she will be available for our next break too! Thank you Charley xx”

“Kirsty came to meet Bailey before coming to stay. Communication was excellent, including photos and videos. The house was left clean and tidy. Bailey was happy. Will definitely book again. Thank you.”

About: Hi, I’m your friendly neighbourhood pet sitter in Stoke-on-Trent, here to spoil your furry family members while you’re away. I grew up in a home full of animals, so being surrounded by wagging tails, purrs, and happy energy is my natural state. I share my life with two cats of my own, and I’ve cared for a variety of pets for friends and clients—each with their own personality, needs, and little quirks. I love taking the time to get to know every pet and turning each visit into their own mini-holiday at home. From energetic puppies and playful kittens to calm senior pets, I’m experienced with different ages and temperaments. I’m comfortable administering medication, following specific routines, and adapting to what your pet needs—whether that’s playtime, cuddles, exercise, or simply quiet companionship. As a pet owner myself, I know how hard it can be to leave them behind. That’s why I focus on clear and reassuring communication, with regular updates, photos, and videos so you can see how they’re doing while you’re away. I’ll treat your pets like my own: with patience, care, and genuine affection. My goal is to keep them safe, comfortable, and happy, so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. My availability can vary during the week due to my work pattern, but I always aim to be transparent and flexible. I’m always available for overnight sitting, and on some days I’m also available full-time. I can offer early morning routines, as well as afternoon and evening visits depending on the day. On some days I’m free from the morning through to early afternoon, while on others I’m available later in the day, usually after 8pm. I’m always happy to discuss specific visit times in advance to make sure they fit both your routine and your pet’s needs. If you have a particular schedule in mind, just send me a message and I’ll do my best to accommodate it. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow your instructions carefully—from feeding and medication to home security and routines—so your pet and your home stay safe and well cared for. I respect your space, keep everything tidy, and treat your home with the same care I give my own. I take time to help each pet feel relaxed and comfortable with me, whether that means walks and playtime, gentle interaction, or simply quiet company. I never force attention and always adapt to your pet’s personality and pace—whether they’re energetic, affectionate, or a little more reserved. With clear communication, regular updates, and a calm, reliable presence, my goal is to give you complete peace of mind while your pet enjoys a safe, familiar environment at home.
“Ruby was great, she kept me very well informed and supplied lovely photos. My cat was instantly comfortable with her and I’m not sure he even missed me! Ruby was flexible when plans changed and I will definitely use her again.”

“Laura was absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t recommend her more. She stayed in our house and looked after our dog and cat. She was friendly and excellent at keeping in contact sending pictures and replying to any messages. She was trustworthy so we could relax on holiday. A fab find!!!”

“Ashleigh was a great dog sitter and chicken sitter. We could not recommend her more. Our dog Fergie is nervous of new people, and Ashleigh was very patient and attentive to Fergie's needs, prioritising extra meet and greets before the sit to get to know him. During the sit it looked like Fergie had found a new best mate in Ashleigh. The photos she sent showed Fergie adored Ashleigh. Ashleigh was very communicative and always kept us up to date and really took special care of Fergie who is not an easy dog. Ashleigh also looked after our chickens during her stay. We highly recommend Ashleigh and have already booked her for two additional sits with Fergie!”

“Lauren was fabulous with my dogs! We had regular pics and they had a ball with her. She even saw I was running low on milk so topped me up so I could have a coffee when I got home. Thank you so much xx without you I would have been so worried about them.”

About: Hi! I'm Carla, 29 and the kind of person that prefer dogs then people. Don't get me wrong, but I love how genuine and sweet they are, really angels that we have in our lives. I'm mom of a Pinscher that now is an angel, but we were together for amazing 15 years, and now we have in my family an incredible Border Collie, full of energy, with almost 3 years old. They taught me and still do how to love, in the most beautiful way possible. So, I have years of experience with small dogs, medium dogs, puppies, old dogs, with different behavior and I also can give medication. If your dog loves to play, I'll be more then happy to play with them. If they love affection, I'll be more then happy to give my love to them. I can't wait to meet your pet! See you. I work part time so I have plenty of availability during the week in some periods of the day (it vary every week) and every weekend. I don't have space to take care of dogs at my home in the moment, since I live in a small flat. But in the client's home I'll follow all the recommendations and rules provide to me.

Georgina swooped in to look after our dog Moose at the last minute sure to some unforeseen changes with our already arranged sitter. She was brilliant with Moose and he clearly loved spending time with her! She sent us regular updates and photos and took brilliant care of both Moose and our home. She is a great sitter and we will absolutely be booking her again.

Charlie has been absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process. Great communication with messages. The cats very much enjoyed their time with Charlie and I’d have absolutely no hesitation in booking Charlie for future cat sitting. Thank you so much - it was great to be able to fully relax on holiday knowing my cats were being well cared for. Charlie also kept the house clean and tidy - really appreciated especially after a long day of travelling.

Kaia loved Asia, and seemed more excited to see her the following evening than me on my return from work 😀. I would definitely recommend. Very reasonably priced. Asia is very pleasant, and calm around Kaia, who is still only a puppy, and can be a little bit wild at times. I would definitely use her services again. Very happy with whole experience.

Lois has been nothing short of outstanding when we left our 2 year old, anxious Labrador for the first time. Willing to come and spend time with him 1-on-1 on the build up to our trip so that they could become aquatinted. We were provided with regular updates throughout our holiday and made to feel reassured at all times. We returned home to find that Lois had not only cleaned the entire house, but ensured that we had fresh bedding to come home to. Will 100% be using Lois wherever possible when it comes to our dog sitting needs from now on. Perfect companion for your furry (or not so furry) family and your home when you are away.

- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Stoke-on-Trent choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
