“Hannah’s a lovely sitter. I can’t recommend her enough. My dog Ralph had a great time on his stay & Hannah made sure to send me lots of photos and updates. We’ll definitely be rebooking ☺️”

About: What sets me apart is a lifetime of hands-on experience with a wide range of animals. I’ve grown up caring for cats, dogs, and even reptiles, so I’m comfortable adapting to different temperaments, routines, and needs. I’m especially confident with young pets, helping reinforce basic training, good habits, and consistent routines. I also provide attentive senior care, making sure older pets are comfortable, supported, and given the extra patience they need. Above all, I treat every pet as an individual—paying close attention to their personality, behaviour, and wellbeing so they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work 9–5, so I’m available for morning visits before work and evening visits afterwards, making sure pets are fed, exercised, and comfortable at the start and end of each day. On weekdays, I plan my schedule so each pet gets consistent care and attention, and I’m fully available for longer visits, drop-ins, or overnight stays during evenings. On weekends, I have much more flexibility, so I can offer extended care, multiple visits, or more time with your pet. I always make sure pets’ routines are followed closely, so they feel settled and well looked after even when their owners are away. Always happy to discuss in more details I tailor my care depending on the service and what each pet is used to, so they feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible. In a pet owner’s home, I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine—feeding, fresh water, cleaning (including litter trays), exercise, and playtime. I take time to understand their personality, whether they’re energetic, shy, or independent, and make sure they get the right level of attention. I’m especially mindful of keeping their environment calm and familiar, which is important for cats and more sensitive pets like reptiles. I can also provide updates and photos so you know how they’re doing while you’re away. If caring in my home (if applicable), I create a safe, clean, and quiet environment where pets can settle in comfortably. I keep routines consistent, supervise them closely, and make sure they have plenty of enrichment, attention, and rest. I’m careful to introduce any new environment gradually, especially for more delicate or routine-driven animals. We have a fenced garden Across both settings, I focus on reliability, cleanliness, and making sure every pet feels secure, well cared for, and treated like my own.
About: I have taken care of peoples pets for a good few years now and decided to join Rover. I have experience with both cats and dogs. Feeding, walking, regular check ins, playing etc, all depending on the animal and the requirements. I have boarded at my home before. I have also been trusted to stay at other peoples homes while they've been away to look after their pets. I am available for bookings and can work my weeks to accommodate them. There are two people in my home, adults, so if boarding there will always be someone in the house to provide the care and attention for your dog. I must stress if boarding your dog MUST be cat and dog friendly. I offer various services of care other than boarding so please see my information. I am DBS checked with a basic clean certificate to hand so trusted in other peoples homes. A non smoker, I live in a smoke free and substance free home where your dog would get full roam of the house and garden. My garden is fully fenced with high panels. I also have cameras in and around the home for extra security. I live a minute from 3 large fields, I am also surrounded by huge acres of land. So your dog would get all the exercise they require if they require. Not to mention less than a mile from Stafford Castle.
“Josie was AMAZING with Bentley in every way possible, went above and beyond so much so that we extended his stay with her. My dog is not the easiest to look after and Josie exceeded our expectations, she is a natural! Will definitely be using Josie again and highly recommend her!”

“Bertie had a great time, plenty of walks and came home happy and healthy. Curtis was a very pleasant and personable guy, who seems to genuinely love dogs. I will definitely use him again, this way is not only cheaper than kennels but I feel Bertie got one to one care from someone who genuinely loved looking after him. Cheers Curtis”

“That was the third time Toby stayed with Hayley and Josh, looks like he has a second home. Believe or not, he wanted to stay longer 😁. Toby is looking forward to seeing you both next month 💝🐶. Thank you so much! Xx”

“"5-star treatment! We couldn't be happier with the care our dogs received from Amy. Very professional, kind, and clearly experienced with animals. Our dogs were happy and relaxed when we picked him up; he obviously felt right at home. We feel lucky to have found such a trustworthy sitter”

“Milo had the best time with Rosie and Ash I was kept up to date with Milo’s stay he was very happy and well looked after I highly recommended them and Milo can’t wait to go back”

About: I've grown up around dogs and horses and have had my own dogs for many years. Currently we have an extremely kind and friendly border collie, he is neutered and 5 years old. I love dog sitting and being exposed to all of the different personalities and charms other people's dog have to offer. I am home full time. I moved to Stafford from London for my husbands RAF posting. I am an avid adventurer and enjoy taking the dogs to all of our local spots, Cannock Chase being a particular favourite! I have a fenced, large garden. I only look after one other families dog/s at a time to ensure safety and that your pets feel like home away from home and to allow free roaming.

About: I no longer use rover anymore as I have my own business!🩷 If you would like to get hold of me please contact “the dog mile club” on Facebook or instagram, my number is also included on my page! I am fully DBS checked, insured and dog first aid trained 🩷 At the moment I am currently a full time student, however I normally only attend uni 3 days a week and mostly finish at around 3/4pm so I am available most mornings/evenings. I’m pretty flexible with my availability and I’m home a lot of the time:) so can be around for your animals needs 🩷 In addition I will try as much as possible to stick to your animals routine to ensure familiarity and reduced stress🐶 I have a lovely fenced off garden and my own dog Marcie who is more then happy to keep your dog company (however shyer dogs may prefer time away from Marcie as she can sometimes be too eager to play)! 🐶 When caring for pets in a pet owner’s home, I always try to keep their routine as normal as possible so they feel comfortable and relaxed while you’re away. I make sure they have fresh food and water, clean up feeding areas and litter trays if needed, and spend quality time with them through play, attention, or calm company depending on their personality. I will also provide updates and send pictures (if you consent) of your furry bestie! 📸 I am also DBS checked if you require it :)
“Our puggle Theodore had a fab weekend with Rupert! He was very well cared for, lovely walks and lots of fun times! Rupert kept me updated as well which was great as I had never used Rover before and was quite nervous! Thank you!”

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Stafford
This was Mickey’s second stay with Sophie having stayed for 2-and-a-bit weeks in August. He loved going back, went straight in and made himself at home. Unfortunately Mickey was taken ill while we were away but Sophie was amazing, taking him and picking him up from the vet, giving us regular updates - nothing was too much trouble. Thank you again for looking after our boy so well!

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
