Kirsty was amazing from the get go! Quick response to my queries/ messages. She took the time to meet the boys before we went away and was so accommodating. We received detailed messages and photos from Kirsty on our boys whilst away and were kept up to date on how they were doing. The boys, one of which is really shy, came out of his shell throughout the visits. Can't thank Kirsty enough. Definitely recommend Kirsty to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and kind to watch over their pets!

About: What sets me apart is a lifetime of hands-on experience with a wide range of animals. I’ve grown up caring for cats, dogs, and even reptiles, so I’m comfortable adapting to different temperaments, routines, and needs. I’m especially confident with young pets, helping reinforce basic training, good habits, and consistent routines. I also provide attentive senior care, making sure older pets are comfortable, supported, and given the extra patience they need. Above all, I treat every pet as an individual—paying close attention to their personality, behaviour, and wellbeing so they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work 9–5, so I’m available for morning visits before work and evening visits afterwards, making sure pets are fed, exercised, and comfortable at the start and end of each day. On weekdays, I plan my schedule so each pet gets consistent care and attention, and I’m fully available for longer visits, drop-ins, or overnight stays during evenings. On weekends, I have much more flexibility, so I can offer extended care, multiple visits, or more time with your pet. I always make sure pets’ routines are followed closely, so they feel settled and well looked after even when their owners are away. Always happy to discuss in more details I tailor my care depending on the service and what each pet is used to, so they feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible. In a pet owner’s home, I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine—feeding, fresh water, cleaning (including litter trays), exercise, and playtime. I take time to understand their personality, whether they’re energetic, shy, or independent, and make sure they get the right level of attention. I’m especially mindful of keeping their environment calm and familiar, which is important for cats and more sensitive pets like reptiles. I can also provide updates and photos so you know how they’re doing while you’re away. If caring in my home (if applicable), I create a safe, clean, and quiet environment where pets can settle in comfortably. I keep routines consistent, supervise them closely, and make sure they have plenty of enrichment, attention, and rest. I’m careful to introduce any new environment gradually, especially for more delicate or routine-driven animals. We have a fenced garden Across both settings, I focus on reliability, cleanliness, and making sure every pet feels secure, well cared for, and treated like my own.

About: About Us: We’re a couple in our 20's based in Stone, Staffordshire. We’ve grown up around dogs and other pets and treat every animal in our care as if they were our own. I also volunteer at a local animal shelter, which has given me hands-on experience with dogs of different breeds, ages, and temperaments. Pets are welcome to roam freely around the house and settle in as part of the family (all furniture allowed!). We love spending time outdoors and regularly explore local walks and hikes, including the Peak District, so we’re happy to offer stimulating walks and adventures where suitable. Alongside dogs, we’re also comfortable caring for other animals, including cats and small pets. You can expect: loving care, regular updates, and complete peace of mind. We both work hybrid roles, meaning we have a good mix of home and office working. This allows us to be flexible dependant on your needs. We live in a 3-bedroom home with a fully fenced secure garden, giving plenty of space to relax and play. With no children or pets, your pet will get our full attention and a calm, comfortable environment.

About: What sets me apart is my genuine passion for animals and my experience caring for a variety of pets. As a proud owner of three cats, caring for animals is part of my everyday life, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your beloved pets. Alongside caring for my own cats, I have experience looking after dogs and lizards, giving me an understanding that different animals have different needs, personalities, and routines. Whether it’s an energetic dog who loves attention, an independent cat who prefers a quieter approach, or a reptile with specific care requirements, I’m committed to providing attentive and reliable care tailored to each pet. I pride myself on being patient, dependable, and treating every animal as if they were my own. I know that leaving your pet in someone else’s care can be worrying, so I provide regular updates and photos to help owners feel reassured and connected while they’re away. My goal is simple: to ensure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for, giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away from home. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine as I have three cats of my own. Their feeding schedules, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, playtime, and general wellbeing checks are all built into my day, so caring for pets feels completely natural to me. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to plan visits around a pet’s individual needs, whether that’s feeding, companionship, play sessions, or simply checking in to make sure they’re happy and comfortable. I understand the importance of consistency for pets, especially cats, and I always aim to maintain their usual routine as closely as possible. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care isn’t something I squeeze into my schedule—it’s something I already love doing every day. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they receive plenty of attention, care, and reassurance while their owners are away. When caring for pets, I always follow the routine and instructions provided by their owner to help them feel safe, comfortable, and settled. I understand that every pet is different, and I take the time to get to know their individual personality, preferences, and needs. In a pet owner’s home, I can provide feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, playtime, companionship, and regular wellbeing checks. I also make sure their environment stays clean and secure while maintaining the routines they’re familiar with. For cats especially, I understand the importance of patience and allowing them to interact at their own pace. As a cat owner myself, I know how important communication is when you’re away from your pets. I’ll provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your furry family member is happy and well cared for. My priority is always to ensure pets feel safe, loved, and stress-free while their owners are away, treating them with the same care and attention I give my own cats.

Ka Yua visited beforehand to meet the dogs. He clearly cares for dogs and was keen to understand what was particular about ours. Ka Yua arrived early, spent a long time playing with the dogs in the garden and sent us plenty of pics & videos of happy, calm dogs. A great help Ka Yua, thanks!

Mandy was brilliant with both our rescue cats who are wary of new people. Great communication throughout and we had lovely photos from each visit. It was wonderful to see the cats were in such safe hands whilst we were away. We came home to 2 very relaxed happy cats. I'd highly recommend.

About: I’ve been a cat owner for nearly four years and currently have three cats of my own – Belle (Domestic Long Hair), Elsie (Ragdoll) and Dobby (Domestic Short Hair). Caring for them has given me hands-on experience with cats of different personalities, temperaments and needs. I grew up around rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs and cats, so I’ve always been surrounded by animals. While I now only own cats, I still have experience caring for my family’s dog, so I’m comfortable around dogs as well. I also have experience caring for cats with medical conditions and administering medication. My Ragdoll, Elsie, was unwell for an extended period and required daily medication before she was successfully weaned off it. She now has a specialist gastrointestinal diet, so I’m confident following feeding plans, administering medication and monitoring a cat’s health. In addition to caring for my own cats, I’ve helped search for missing and stray cats alongside a local cat rescue. I’m passionate about animal welfare and believe every pet deserves to feel safe, loved and well cared for. I will always treat your pets with the same love, patience and attention that I give my own. I currently work fully remotely, with core working hours of 10:00am–3:00pm. Outside of these hours, I have the flexibility to manage my workload, allowing me to fit pet visits and care around my schedule. I also have my own car, so I’m happy to travel to care for your pets. I’m based in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, but I’m willing to travel to surrounding areas to provide reliable, loving care for your furry family members. I live in a two-bedroom semi-detached home with a secure, fenced garden, providing a safe outdoor space if required. My home is situated in a quiet residential area with plenty of local walking routes nearby, making it ideal for calm and enjoyable walks. I’ll always follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, medication, exercise and any specific care instructions, to ensure they feel comfortable, safe and settled while in my care.

About: I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and individual needs to help them feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible while you're away. I'm patient, reliable, and treat every animal as if they were my own. I have experience caring for rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, dogs the most, as well as sub-tropical and coldwater aquarium fish. I'm happy to administer oral medication when needed, maintain feeding and cleaning routines, and provide regular updates with photos for your peace of mind. I'm comfortable caring for both young and senior pets, adapting my approach to suit their energy levels and any additional care they require. Whether that's keeping up with an energetic puppy's routine or giving an older pet a slower-paced, gentle day, I always prioritise their wellbeing, safety, and happiness. I currently work full-time, but my free time is flexible, allowing me to adapt my availability to suit your pet's routine and individual needs. My weekends are often spent with friends' and family's furry companions, enjoying walks and adventures around Cannock Chase, the Peak District, and other local woodland trails. I have previously lived life as a "cat servant" to two bonded rescue littermates who I've cared for over five years, recently moving from living with family to mine and my husbands first home together. Living and loving them has taught me that every cat has their own personality, and that a well-timed chin scratch can go a long way once trust has been earned! I always want to ensure your much loved furry & non furry famoly receive the time, care, and attention they deserve while you're away, keeping them company if they aren't used to being left alone. 🦎🐕🐈‍⬛🐈🐟 Every pet is unique, and you know your beloved companion better than anyone. I always follow your instructions carefully to keep your pet's routine as familiar and stress-free as possible, whether that's feeding schedules, exercise, enrichment, medication, or any other specific care requirements, yes even a blanket placed a certain way! For dogs, I tailor walks and exercise to their age, breed, energy levels, and your preferences. I have access to a private, secure dog walking area in a peaceful rural setting which is a secure, fenced space that is payable, allowing your dog the chance to bound around without the risk of them adventuring too far. For cats, I understand that every cat has a different personality. Whether they prefer quiet company, interactive play, or simply someone to keep their routine consistent, I'll care for them at their own pace while ensuring litter trays, feeding, fresh water, and enrichment are all taken care of. I'm also experienced caring for rabbits and a variety of small exotic pets, including leopard geckos, axolotls, and tropical and coldwater fish. I'll follow your care instructions precisely, ensuring habitats are kept clean, feeding routines are maintained, and any medications or specialist care are provided correctly. When I'm caring for your much loved animals in your space, my priority is always to make them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away.

Charley was amazing and really went above and beyond. My cat is usually cautious with strangers, but Charley was able to gain her trust from the very first visit. She sent me updates and photos every day, so I always knew everything was fine and my cat was in good hands while I was away for two weeks. She also left the house clean and tidy. I will definitely book Charley again and would highly recommend her.

About: I spent 14 years caring for my own Labrador, so I understand the daily rhythm dogs and cats need — regular walks, feeding times, and plenty of attention. Alongside that, I've helped friends and neighbours look after their dogs and cats whenever they've gone on holiday, covering everything from walks and feeding to daily drop-in visits to check in, play, and keep them company. I know how much peace of mind it gives you to know your pet is in safe, familiar hands while you're away. Whether it's a daily walk, a feeding visit, or a full day of company, I treat every pet like my own — with patience, consistency, and genuine care. I'm based in Stoke-on-Trent. I'm happy to discuss your pet's specific routine and needs before we get started. My schedule gives me great flexibility for regular care. On Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, I'm free all day and can offer morning, midday, or evening dog walks, along with drop-in visits at any time that suits you. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I'm at university, so I'm generally available in the evening. On weekends, I'm available in the afternoons around my work schedule. I'm happy to work with you to find times that fit your pet's routine. For dogs, I focus on giving them plenty of exercise with long walks, along with lots of playtime and attention throughout the visit. For cats, I bring that same energy minus the walks — spending time playing, engaging with them, and making sure they feel comfortable and looked after while their owners are away. Whether it's a quick drop-in or a longer visit, my goal is to make sure every pet gets genuine attention, not just the basics.

About: I have been around dogs all my life and am very passionate about meeting their needs with training and having fun! I live with my partner Nathan in Newcastle under Lyme near Stoke. I did care for a shi zhu called Chico on a regular basis when I lived back in Birmingham in which I walked, fed, bathed and trained, and have always had dogs in the family to practise and give all the love I’m a nurse but am able to take care of your pet around my schedule as I usually have 3 or more days off in the week. There is no set schedule meaning I’m available sometimes in the weekday and sometimes at the weekend I have no pets of my own because of my long shifts which is why I’d love to look after your fur baby. There are 924 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Stafford. About 91% of Stafford sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
