About: I have taken care of other peoples pets for little over 5 years now along with my own two, one cat and one dog, shown in my profile photo and decided to join Rover. If someone needs help with feeding, walking, regular check ins, playing, all depending on your animals requirements this can be discussed and provided. I am experienced with boarding at my house before and have also been trusted to stay at other people's homes while they've been away to look after their pets. So whether you're looking for a home from home stay for your dog or someone to visit your home to spend time with your pets or something as easy as making sure they get their required toilet break, take a look around at my profile. If you need any further information please don't hesitate to contact me and we can discuss details. I will always recommend a meet and greet beforehand, so we can make sure everybody is comfortable, we as owners and our beloved pets. However if that's not possible for example: being short notice or same day booking, then I'll be happy to discuss your needs in detail via a phonecall beforehand. A little about me, I have my own insurance and I am DBS checked with a basic clean certificate to hand. I am at home 7 days a week. So if my calendar is open and I have got any dates available for a service you require, i'll be happy to help and accommodate you and your pets. Don't hesitate to get in touch. ‼️NEW TO ROVER??‼️ 🎁USE MY CODE & GET £30 OFF🎁 https://www.rover.com/sit/leighg42528 24 Hour BOARDING / DAYCARE - There are two people in my home, a smoke free home, both adults, myself and a retiree, so there will always be someone to provide the care and attention for your dog 24 hours. Being an owner of 1 cat and 1 dog, if your dog is good with other dogs, but you are unsure with cats, then this is where a meet and greet is ideal and beneficial to see if everyone gets along. Please have your dog up to date with flea treatment and inform me of any medical conditions I need to be aware of, an example being seizures. Your dog will get free roam of the house and garden. They are not in any type of kennel structure. We will treat your pet as part of the family therefore they are welcome to use all the rooms and furniture around the house, but if they are trained to be in a crate this is no problem, please bring it and any bed they are accustomed to. My garden is fully fenced with high panels and cameras installed for extra security. I live a minute walk from 3 large fields, also surrounded by huge acres of land. So your dog would get all the exercise they require. Not to mention living less than a mile drive from Stafford Castle. I provide my own client registration / consent forms that are either given physically or sent digitally for you to fill in on or before the agreed date of boarding which I can then refer to and see information about your pet. Dog Walking - If it is just walking you require then I offer 30 minutes to an hour. I prefer to walk 1-2-1 so your dog gets all the attention they deserve. 2 would be maximum at a time. Pet Sitting - I have been trusted before to visit cats and dogs to feed, let out, or stay the night. Whether you need an hourly visit or longer feel free to get in touch and discuss further.
“Hannah’s a lovely sitter. I can’t recommend her enough. My dog Ralph had a great time on his stay & Hannah made sure to send me lots of photos and updates. We’ll definitely be rebooking ☺️”

“Samuel looked after our Cockerpoo Suzie when we went the lakes. Responded very quickly and kept us updated throughout our holiday, I feel our dog was sad to go haha. But highly recommend and in the near future, if needed again, I will definitely use Samuel again.”

About: Always had a dog around me since I was a kid. Love the company of a furry friend. Would accommodate their needs. Would also provide exceptional care while their stay, such as brushing, cuddling, pet massages and more treatments to ensure your pet is satisfied. Working from home and would be keeping company of any pets day long. Would be able to frequently take them out on walks to ensure I meet their needs. My garden is fully fenced, I’m always aware of the open doors to ensure there are no escapes. My house is dog and pet friendly, my little dog (Pomeranian) is friendly and would not bother our guests 😄
“Maple spent a couple of nights at Rosie and the whole experience was perfect. Rosie was super communicative and sent updates and photos. She made sure to know about Maple needs and that she was comfortable throughout the whole stay. Would definitely recommend!”

“I would fully recommend Rosie - they looked after our dog for 4 days and kept us fully updated with messages and pictures throughout. Our dog was also unwell at the start and they rang me straight away & kept me updated on how she was doing. I offered to come and get her but they were happy to keep her but wanted to make us aware. Cannot recommend them enough. Thank you so much!”

“Jessica was absolutely brilliant with our dog Ben! She looked after him overnight for us the night before our wedding, which gave us one less thing to worry about during such a busy and important time. She was so caring and went above and beyond by even bathing Ben for us! He came back happy, clean and clearly very well looked after. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look after him, and we would definitely recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a kind, trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Thank you so much! 🐾❤️”

“We can highly recommend Anna! She’s truly wonderful and took such good care of our Golden Retriever Thor while we were on holiday. She’s great with dogs and understands their needs. Thor is very active and we were delighted that she took him for runs, which we normally do ourselves. He also enjoyed playing with other dogs and was well cared for. We had photo updates whilst away, which was lovely. Thor was happy and content when we collected him.”

“We left Maisie with Sophie for the first time at the weekend after an initial meet and greet. We felt very comfortable leaving her and Sophie sent photos showing just how happy and settled Maisie was. We would have no hesitation at booking her in with Sophie again and would like to thank her for looking after her so well 👍🐶”

“Kirsty was as perfect as ever! Jim loves when she comes to visit and look after him! She not only pops in but she spend time with him, playing with him, snuggling him and making sure he had everything he needs!”

“Steph has been a good cat-sitter while we were away! She's been good on keeping us updated with pictures and videos. We've felt relaxed to leave her in charge of our fur babies while we were away. Definitely recommend her :) ”

“Molly was absolutely wonderful when she came to take care of our two boys, she even won over my nervous cat that hides from everyone 🤣 Can't thank Molly enough for taking care of them and our gecko while we've been away 🥰”

About: Hi, I’m Seona, a devoted cat lover and proud cat mum to three fur babies of my own. Living with cats every day has taught me that every cat has their own unique personality, preferences, and routine, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each one. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets, so I always aim to provide the same level of care, attention, and affection that I give my own cats. Whether your cat is a confident social butterfly, a shy observer, or a mischievous adventurer, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m experienced with feeding routines, administering basic care, refreshing water, cleaning litter trays, play sessions, and, of course, providing plenty of fuss for cats who enjoy attention. I also understand that some cats prefer their space, and I’m happy to work at their pace to build trust. As a cat owner myself, I know how reassuring it is to receive updates, so I’ll happily send photos and messages to keep you informed and give you peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is simple: to make sure your cat is happy, relaxed, and cared for as if they were one of my own.
“Ka Yua visited beforehand to meet the dogs. He clearly cares for dogs and was keen to understand what was particular about ours. Ka Yua arrived early, spent a long time playing with the dogs in the garden and sent us plenty of pics & videos of happy, calm dogs. A great help Ka Yua, thanks!”

“Mandy was brilliant with both our rescue cats who are wary of new people. Great communication throughout and we had lovely photos from each visit. It was wonderful to see the cats were in such safe hands whilst we were away. We came home to 2 very relaxed happy cats. I'd highly recommend.”

About: Although I have only been a cat owner for the last four years, I am a dedicated cat owner and genuine cat lover. I am passionate about ensuring that all animals have a safe and loving home, but since becoming a cat owner I have developed a particular interest in cats and supporting local cat rescues. I am a strong advocate for responsible pet ownership, including neutering cats to help reduce the number of unwanted litters and the pressure on rescue organisations caring for stray and abandoned cats. I also have experience caring for cats with medical needs and administering medication. Unfortunately, my cat Elsie became very poorly in 2025, but she has since made a full recovery and now thrives on a specialist gastrointestinal diet. I will treat your cats with the same love, care and respect that I give my own, while always respecting their individual personalities, boundaries and any instructions you provide to ensure they feel safe, comfortable and well cared for.
“Megan has been amazing! It was my first time leaving my cat and naturally I was anxious to leave her but Megan really put my mind at ease, she is kind and warm and really has a love for animals.. she sent me regular photos and updates which I’ve really appreciated whilst I’ve been away. My cat isn’t the most social sometimes but she has made good friends with Megan while I’ve been gone and they seem to of become besties 🫶🏼 . I would highly recommend her service and I would definitely book with her again. Thank you so much Megan ❤️”

About: I have 2 cats of my own, one which was rescued at the age of 2 and one who i had from a teeny tiny kitten (featured in my photo!) I have always been a lover of cats and i believe every cat deserves to be shown respect and kindness, regardless of behaviour or personality type.
“Charley was amazing and really went above and beyond. My cat is usually cautious with strangers, but Charley was able to gain her trust from the very first visit. She sent me updates and photos every day, so I always knew everything was fine and my cat was in good hands while I was away for two weeks. She also left the house clean and tidy. I will definitely book Charley again and would highly recommend her.”

About: I have lived with two rescued cats for over five years, including caring for them from a young age, and understand that every animal has their own personality, needs, and boundaries. As well as having Bunnies, guinea pigs and hamsters from a young age. I have experience pet sitting in owners' homes, as well as adventures with your four legged friends, I’m confident giving medications when needed and have experience with gentle handling techniques, including “purrito” wrapping for cats who require extra support with their wellbeing or care, as well as the classic liquid dreamies, gently containing them and making sure they swallow that pill....not cough it back up when they hope I'm distracted! I believe trust is earned, and I take the time to get to know each pet, whether they are nervous, playful, elderly, or simply prefer their own space.

“Amazing. Will be using Iona again, definitely! I avoided going away or on any trips whatsoever because I hated leaving the cats. Iona stayed for long periods, my cats really liked her & she even cleaned my home before she left! She followed all instructions & I felt at ease knowing my cats were ok. So grateful & will definitely be using her again! ”

About: While my hands-on experience has mainly been with dogs, I've also looked after cats for friends while they were away — feeding them, checking in, and spending time playing with them. I understand cats have their own routines and personalities, and I'm attentive to their comfort, especially when their owners are away. I'm happy to follow specific instructions on feeding schedules, litter care, and any quirks your cat has.
About: I have been around dogs all my life and am very passionate about meeting their needs with training and having fun! I live with my partner Nathan in Newcastle under Lyme near Stoke. I did care for a shi zhu called Chico on a regular basis when I lived back in Birmingham in which I walked, fed, bathed and trained, and have always had dogs in the family to practise and give all the love I’m a nurse but am able to take care of your pet around my schedule as I usually have 3 or more days off in the week. There is no set schedule meaning I’m available sometimes in the weekday and sometimes at the weekend I have no pets of my own because of my long shifts which is why I’d love to look after your fur baby. I am happy to walk pets, provide day care or drop in visits

“We were absolutely delighted with Tue service that Emily provided, Winston was at home from the start, we received photos during his stay and he was cared for as if he was at home. We would definitely recommend Emily and we will certainly use her again.”

“Leigh and his Mum Anna, are absolute animal lovers. They pay great attention to their pets and treated my dog as one of their family. Allowing her onto their sofas and beds and giving her endless cuddles . When I picked her up it was hard to persuade her to leave. That says it all for me! She ckearlyloved her time in Leigh’s care. Very trustworthy and a man of his word. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave her with him again.”

About: My family has a long history of rescuing dogs! We rescued our much loved Australian sheep dog when I was 15, I helped train him and look after him for 9 years. I also cared for both my grandparents rescue dogs up until their old age I work from home full time. Fully remote! Would love a dog keeping me company in the house. The house is a bit of a renovation project I care for all animals with safety and respect. Happy to walk, feed, water, play with whenever they need. We have a walled garden and plenty of green space near by
“Thanks for looking after floss and Stanley today. Great location. Samuel was fine with meeting us at the house. Dogs seemed to have had a nice time. Samuel advised us on how dogs had been. Very grateful for him looking after our dogs for us”

“Sam was absolutely great! She looked after our Labradoodle for the day so well. He came home tired and very happy after having had a wonderful long walk and a happy day making new dog friends. If we ever come and stay in the area again, we will definitely use her again.”

About: We love spending time with dogs and have plenty of experience with them, having both grown up surrounded by dogs and until recently were proud dog owners, having had our boy since he was a pup. We’ve also got some outside space that borrowed dogs can use. We both work from home so have full availability on weekdays! We also won’t leave any dog in the house by themselves whether they’re happy to be left or not. We had a dog who had quite bad separation anxiety so we’re used to working our schedule around any furry friends! Your dog will have our full attention, we have a fenced garden so they’ll have space to wander as well. We also have bowls and beds already from our old pup.
About: I've had pets my entire life, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. Unfortunately we lost our lovely Labrador, Bella, at the end of 2025, but having other dogs in our home has been a wonderful way to ease the loss. I work for the UK's leading veterinary charity, giving me direct access to expert pet health advice, and I’m trained in pet first aid. I regularly look after friends’ and family members' pets, ensuring they feel right at home here. Your pets will have free roam of the house, with access to comfy sofas and beds. I work from home so pets will always have company, and can be walked multiple times throughout the day. If I have to leave your dog it will be for no more than a two hours. My garden is fully enclosed, and dogs will have free roam of the house and garden throughout the day. I have a 9 year old daughter who has been around pets all her life and is very nurturing.

“Iona was most accommodating whilst taking care of Abe and his needs. He is a nervous dog and Iona was perfectly patient and understanding of his needs and Abe really came a long way with his confidence whilst In her care. Will definitely be using Iona’s services again.”

About: I’ve been a cat owner for nearly four years and currently have three cats of my own – Belle (Domestic Long Hair), Elsie (Ragdoll) and Dobby (Domestic Short Hair). Caring for them has given me hands-on experience with cats of different personalities, temperaments and needs. I grew up around rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs and cats, so I’ve always been surrounded by animals. While I now only own cats, I still have experience caring for my family’s dog, so I’m comfortable around dogs as well. I also have experience caring for cats with medical conditions and administering medication. My Ragdoll, Elsie, was unwell for an extended period and required daily medication before she was successfully weaned off it. She now has a specialist gastrointestinal diet, so I’m confident following feeding plans, administering medication and monitoring a cat’s health. In addition to caring for my own cats, I’ve helped search for missing and stray cats alongside a local cat rescue. I’m passionate about animal welfare and believe every pet deserves to feel safe, loved and well cared for. I will always treat your pets with the same love, patience and attention that I give my own. I currently work fully remotely, with core working hours of 10:00am–3:00pm. Outside of these hours, I have the flexibility to manage my workload, allowing me to fit pet visits and care around my schedule. I also have my own car, so I’m happy to travel to care for your pets. I’m based in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, but I’m willing to travel to surrounding areas to provide reliable, loving care for your furry family members. I live in a two-bedroom semi-detached home with a secure, fenced garden, providing a safe outdoor space if required. My home is situated in a quiet residential area with plenty of local walking routes nearby, making it ideal for calm and enjoyable walks. I’ll always follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, medication, exercise and any specific care instructions, to ensure they feel comfortable, safe and settled while in my care.

“We booked Hannah to walk our dog Loki all week whilst I was away on a work trip and my partner struggled to balance our 10 week old baby and walking Loki. Hannah created such a great bond with Loki straight away and after a couple of days he was sat waiting by the door for her to arrive at 10am! Clearly very experienced and loves spending time with dogs - would 100% recommend, and seeing daily pictures of Loki having a great time gave me peace of mind whilst away from home. Will be our go-to for any boarding/walking requirements in the future”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life, not as my own pet but very close family members, until just over a year ago when me and my partner moved in with each other and adopted our staffy x collie, kodie, aka mr kodie from the very young and crazy age of 3 months. “Charlie is absolutely lovely to work with. She's punctual, approachable, and Harris took to her straight away which is rare as Harris usually cautious with new people. We are so happy to have found Charlie and are excited for many more walks as well as potential house sitting in the future. Highly recommend her!”

“Holly so enjoyed her time with Alice. Alice was reliable and trustworthy. She came into my house when I was in hospital with absolutely no issues. Holly was well cared for and I had lots of photos and updates to put my mind at ease. Looking forward to booking again.”

About: I have cared for a variety of animals throughout my life including exotic animals, a variety of dogs, cats, horses, poultry and farm animals. I am experienced with lively puppies and more nervous types. I have experience in kennels, catteries, small mammal care and stables. I am able to provide references upon request. I am often home from university and have time for a part time job. I am home frequently from April and full time from June - September. In an owners home I am able to pay full attention to any pet needs and can be with them constantly. Alternatively I can give them space and privacy, allowing them to have toilet breaks etc when needed.

About: I spent 14 years caring for my own Labrador, so I understand the daily rhythm dogs and cats need — regular walks, feeding times, and plenty of attention. Alongside that, I've helped friends and neighbours look after their dogs and cats whenever they've gone on holiday, covering everything from walks and feeding to daily drop-in visits to check in, play, and keep them company. I know how much peace of mind it gives you to know your pet is in safe, familiar hands while you're away. Whether it's a daily walk, a feeding visit, or a full day of company, I treat every pet like my own — with patience, consistency, and genuine care. I'm based in Stoke-on-Trent. I'm happy to discuss your pet's specific routine and needs before we get started. My schedule gives me great flexibility for regular care. On Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, I'm free all day and can offer morning, midday, or evening dog walks, along with drop-in visits at any time that suits you. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I'm at university, so I'm generally available in the evening. On weekends, I'm available in the afternoons around my work schedule. I'm happy to work with you to find times that fit your pet's routine. For dogs, I focus on giving them plenty of exercise with long walks, along with lots of playtime and attention throughout the visit. For cats, I bring that same energy minus the walks — spending time playing, engaging with them, and making sure they feel comfortable and looked after while their owners are away. Whether it's a quick drop-in or a longer visit, my goal is to make sure every pet gets genuine attention, not just the basics.

About: I am a licensed security dog handler and also own 4 large breed dogs myself which I have trained to a high standard. Owning working dogs too, I am very capable of handling all breeds of dogs. I am happy to accept dogs with behavioural issues, lack of manners, lead pulling or reactivity. These are all things I have experienced and overcame with some of my own dogs and foster dogs in the past. I own a Belgian Malinois who is my working security dog, so I also understand that high drive dogs may not be fulfilled with just a walk around the block. I can offer enrichment and fulfilment sessions to suit the individual dog. I am fully insured, DBS checked and first aid trained. My insurance is also inclusive of banned breeds, I specifically chose this due to me having 2 XL Bullys myself so you have peace of mind that I’m fully aware of the exemption rules and these will be followed at all times. Please be aware any exempt dogs will need to be a 1:1 ratio dog to handler at all times. I offer both group walks and solo walks, adventure days, house sitting, pop ins and overnight stays. I currently only work part time and I am self employed so I’m able to change my work schedule to fit around the dogs in my care. I have a house with a large secure garden, situated in a very small village in the countryside. I am able to keep my own dogs completely separate from any other dogs.

Our dog was also unwell at the start and they rang me straight away & kept me updated on how she was doing. I offered to come and get her but they were happy to keep her but wanted to make us aware. Cannot recommend them enough. Thank you so much!”

About: Always helped others walk their dogs around before and used to have two cocker spaniels, sadly past away now. But always wanted another dog, sometimes take my friends adopted dogs for walks. Currently working as pet photographer so can work both jobs at the same time if interested. Can also work free for fee and show my portfolio I care for pets daily at home, we currently have two Peter balds and love them dearly, can show photos inside my portfolio for photography, and if you’re pet is shy it’s okay since there are a lot of rooms we can use and got litter equipment etc.
“Our puggle Theodore had a fab weekend with Rupert! He was very well cared for, lovely walks and lots of fun times! Rupert kept me updated as well which was great as I had never used Rover before and was quite nervous! Thank you!”
