About: Hi, I’m Heather, and I’m a lifelong animal lover with many years of experience caring for dogs and cats. I have had many pets during my childhood and professionally looked after other peoples animals since 18. I sadly recently lost my dog, in which I met through a dog sitting platform. Taking care of him over the last 10 years has given me experience with dogs of different ages, personalities and needs, including the patience and extra care that comes with looking after an older dog. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets, and I always treat every animal as if they were my own. I am DBS checked and currently work at a local school part time, where I support children in a caring and responsible role. He had helped me out massively when no one else was available. Matt sent me updates with photos throughout the whole day and Simba looked like he had settled in very quickly. “We have used Chris multiple times now to look after our 2 cavapoos. Both are classic “velcro dogs” and even for us it can be overwhelming at times. Chris however is not phased by this and is happy to accommodate any needs you have to make your dog feel like they are at home. Both dogs are very picky eaters and on the most recent occasion she was so helpful in trialling new foods with them and letting us know which seemed best for them. We found it very amusing that on arrival to collect them, our dog was running round with her sock, which is exactly what he does at home! Thanks Chris. See you again next time!”

About: I’ve loved dogs since I was a child myself and had a dog as a kid. Since then my own parents have had other dogs which I’ve obviously loved and cared for as and when, whilst unable to have a dog of my own. Circumstances - ie work - mean I can’t commit to having my own dog full time, to my son’s dismay, but we have so much love and affection for dogs that Rover is a perfect fit for us. I’ve only ticked availability for when my son and I can live our best life and share that time with your beautiful dog. We are always out and about exploring Lichfield and living life to the fullest…and spending time with a pooch pal would complete that way of life! Full disclosure we live in a flat but is as pet friendly as flats can be. We literally live opposite Stowe Pool playing fields and like I say to my 9-year-old, we have one of the biggest gardens in Lichfield. We would love a dog to walk, to stay with us and maybe even play cricket with us!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
