“Eve was amazing with our 2 dogs and cat. We were 100% happy and comfortable leaving them with her and they were all happy too. Eve's communications with us were brilliant from the meet and greet onwards. Fantastic petsitter 😁”

“Kira came over in her free time before her visit with Ben to familiarise herself the house and Ben and introduce herself to him going out of her way to do this, was very friendly and great with Ben. During the visit she communicated well with me during the day to update me about Ben and my house was left as she found it. Was a delight to have you looking after Ben!”

“Andrew was a brilliant house and pet sitter. He was responsive and in regular contact. The animals were all very happy and the house was well looked after. I would absolutely book Andrew again.”

About: I am a true dog lover, and have been all my life. I have owned and raised dogs from puppies through to their golden senior years, and so have experience caring for dogs of any age. Most recently I had lovely Staffy mix girl, who I sadly lost this summer at 14 to old age. Her passing has left a dog shaped hole in my life, so I am looking forward to spending time with your pup as and when you should need. I also have extensive experience volunteering at a Staffy rescue centre, where I regularly go to spend time with and walk the shelter pups. I am retired which means I can be at home all day if your dog prefers to not be left alone. I have experience with senior dogs, and can administer medication if needed. I have puppy experience as well, but my new home means I would request that any dogs in my care be housetrained. I am retired but very active, so would be happy to take your pup for as much of a walk as they need! As a retiree I can be home all day and dedicate the time, attention, and care to your pup that they need. I have a fenced in yard and no other dogs or children in my home. I live in a quiet neighbourhood with plenty of nearby walking routes.
“Clare is fantastic and we trust her to look after our dog Lottie (golden retriever) in our home when we're away on holiday. Eight weeks ago lottie had cruciate ligament surgery. As Clare is a veterinary nurse, she knew all about the operation and was more than happy to look after Lottie for us, especially with the restricted on lead walks she required post-surgery. We had daily updates and photos. It's worked out so well that I've already booked Clare for my next holiday.”

I have a very friendly sausage dog, Boris, who absolutely loves other dogs and people. Boris is crate trained.

About: Hi I’m Katie, I LOVE most pets (maybe slightly more wary of a tarantula) but any other animals I love! I was born into a house full of snakes, my dad was a breeder, so I love snakes! I had my first own pet, a rabbit, at age 4 and he lived for 13 years! I then had a hamster, and I have had cats for over 10 years. I have also had dogs too! So a wide range of experience with different animals! I have a full-time work from home role, which means I am fairly flexible around your needs. I can visit before and after work, or I can house sit all day, if you would be happy with me using your WiFi for my full time work laptop. I do not offer services in which a pet comes to my own home, but I am always willing to care for your pets at the comfort of your own home, where your pet feels safest.

About: I've taken care of so many pets since I was young. I've looked after my friends & families dogs and always had pets since I was young. I've had cats, dogs, snakes, hamsters, rats, mice... you name it! I volunteered at a nearby cat shelter for several years with my sister who is now studying animal care at college. I do PA work for families and mental health support (for humans!) alongside my love of fur babies! I have trained a few dogs and I am very outdoorsy - I love climbing outdoors, walks, and camping! I would love my own pup but can't afford it right now... soon though!! :D I am self-employed, so my schedule changes, but I have plenty of time to ppay with pups! I do PA work for families, work as a wellbeing coach & mental health, and petsit/babysit for my friends & family. We live in a small flat, but happy to have any dogs to stay! We have an unfenced front garden, but I love getting out and about so can take your doggies out as much as they need to go. I sometimes care for my mum's two doggos in case your furry friends like company :))
“Imogen stayed at our place during our weekend get away and looked after our two girl staffies. She was just excellent from start to finish. She regularly sent us updates while we were away which made us feel at ease. She was very good with our girls and on top of that kept our home very tidy. Thank you Imogen.”

About: I have taken care of my own two dogs for the past 10 years but have grew up around family members dogs my entire life. Family members and friends actively rely on me to dog sit for their furry friends, so I am very reliable and experienced. I am very active, meaning your dog can choose to have a simple brisk walk or whether they want to become a mountaineer and combat Snowden, I will meet their needs! I am also an avid cuddler so enjoy spoiling them with love! I currently work shift patterns for the NHS, whereby I work 3 days a week and get to enjoy 4 days off, leaving plenty of time to look after your fury friends! I am very caring towards dogs, and will cater to the individual dogs needs, especially in their own personal space! I can follow instructions on food timings and any additional needs.
“Elena was very prompt with arrival time, She did an excellent job with looking after Socks, feeding, regular visits outside for him to do his business, she also sent me video and updates that he was fine, When Elena went my pet (Socks) wanted to go with her. She was brilliant.”

About: Hi, I’m Rebecca, I’m a Mum to two grown up children who are now Cabin Crew, wife and full-time Mum to Simba & Elsa our two doggies. Our dogs are family! We wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve grown up around animals and previously I’ve owned rabbits, chickens, guinea pigs, pet mice, chinchillas, and of course doggies Simba became paralysed two years ago, due to IVDD, he had a Supervet type operation and rehabilitation, but unfortunately did not get ‘his legs back’, he is in nappies and I have to express his bladder, which has become second nature, so special needs/extra requirements are no problem. We also have a rescue Parsons Terrier who is able bodied and full of energy; I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies.

“Diana is brilliant, she clearly loves dogs and was a fantastic house sitter. She had no issue in caring for our recently diagnosed diabetic dog, maintaining her twice daily insulin injections and fairly strict feeding regimen. Have already recommended her to friends and will definately use her again.”

About: Always had animals since I was little. Currently I have 9 cats (rescue) and also a rescue bearded dragon. I also currently work at a rescue kennels that also does boarding so have looked after all breeds of stray dogs and have looked after boarding cats, dogs, ferrets, reptiles, fish, rabbits and guinea pigs. Some of these animals have required important medications which i have always made sure has been given safely to any animal thats needed it. Im currently working part time at a rescue and boarding kennels. So due to me working part time im always getting told that people are struggling for at home pet care and have done a few gigs for people i know and thought why not broaden by horizons and help people within the community and get ti spend time with all different pets. I like to make sure I ask plenty if questions and get and idea of the home owners day to do routine with their pet so I can make sure im sticking to that routine to make sure everything is as comfortable for the pet as possible. By sticking to all the same routines and and asking many questions allows me to make sure everything is kept the same and is safe.

About: I can only offer day or overnight sitting at your home (not mine). I have always loved and been surrounded by animals. I had a German shepherd who sadly passed a few years back at the grand age of 12. I have always had cats, rodents and a horses. I have also volunteered at a local dog rescue home, dog walking and giving cuddles! I do hybrid working, working from home and I only work in person for 1 full day and 2 half days. Therefore my availability is evenings, weekends and some weekdays (when working from home). Due to living in rental I will only sit/board in the pets home. However I feel this is best for the dog, to be happy and comfortable in their own familiar surroundings. I will aim to do things in their normal daily routine to make the process easier on your pet.

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Wrekin
Couldn't ask for a better petsitter. We booked Clare for 7 nights and had updates and photos multiple times a day. Our pets were all very happy and content in Clare's care, which made being away frok them so much less stressful for us. We would definitely like to utilise Clares services again 😊

Katie was absolutely fabulous with Axel, she even went out her way to come and meet him and us before the booking. Axel seems as though he had a great time with Katie and was chilled out and calm when we returned and had even eaten all of his food which he is particularly fussy about in different situations. Could not fault Katie enough and we will definitely book with her again ☺️

Imogen stepped in at short notice to look after my dog, Rolo, while I travelled to London for a meeting, and I couldn’t be more grateful. She’s absolutely lovely, very reliable, and clearly cares about the dogs she looks after. It gave me real peace of mind knowing Rolo was in such good hands. I really appreciate her help and would happily recommend her to anyone!

Kira came over in her free time before her visit with Ben to familiarise herself the house and Ben and introduce herself to him going out of her way to do this, was very friendly and great with Ben. During the visit she communicated well with me during the day to update me about Ben and my house was left as she found it. Was a delight to have you looking after Ben!

This was our first time using this service and Madison couldnt have been more helpful. She was happy to have a couple of visits before our trip to see if our pets were ok with her. She was respectful of our home, gave our pets lots of love and attention and provided numerous daily updates whilst we away which meant we could relax knowing our pets were safe and happy. Madison is now our trusted 'go to' pet sitter. I highly recommend Madison.

Lucia looked after Lola when we went on holiday and we were a bit nervous as we had never used a dog sitter before. But as soon as we met Lucia all our worries went! She was absolutely lovely and Lola was very happy too! We had regular updates and photos so we knew Lola was happy and safe ☺️ We will not hesitate again to have Lucia back when we go away again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Wrekin walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wrekin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
