Bridie was great and we’re so happy to have found her! Our dogs (and cats) were well looked after and they seemed chilled when we got back. There were no problems and Bridie is very friendly.

What can I say about Clare...she is simply perfect in every way. Our cat became extremely unwell just prior to our trip away and although she was stable enough to leave she needed someone to keep an eye on her. Clare accepted the booking and was absolutely brilliant. She kept us up to date about Cali with photos and messages which helped us feel reassured. We returned home to find that a complete record of medication and voiding etc had been made which is so helpful when managing chronic health issues in an animal. Clare also left us milk, bread and even some flowers and wine to welcome us home. She had washed the bedsheets and left the house tidier than it was when we left for our trip! I am so impressed with the level of care provided to our baby and also the respect that Clare showed our home..I would not hesitate to use her services again.

About: I have adopted 8 elderly dogs since 2012 and have loved every second of making sure they have lived their final days in comfort and with love. I currently work remotely from home so very easy to have dogs here with me - it's a very calm, safe and dog friendly environment. I have a secure back yard that the dogs can play or snooze in - very secure. A lunchtime walk at the nearby park is essential. Plenty of space to explore in the house. No furniture is off-limit!

It has been a very hot week in the UK and our dog Mitchell does not do well in the heat. However: KIM CAME PRIOR TO OUR HOLIDAY TO INTRODUCE HERSELF AND LOOKED AFTER OUR MOAN OLD BOY IN EVERY WAY. KIM EVEN BROUGHT A FAN OF HER OWN IN AN EFFORT TO KEEP HIM COOL. HE WAS NOT STRESSED OR UPS3T WITH US AND I AM VERY GRATEFUL FOR THE EFFORT KIM HAS GIVEN IN LOOKING AFTER OUR DOG. I CANNOT RECOMMEND MORE HIGHLY THIS PERSON TO LOOK AFTER YOUR PET. THANK YOUU KIM.

About: I love spending time with dogs of all shapes and sizes! I've grown up with labradors and cocker spaniels, so I'm used to sociable, high-energy dogs. I've studied animal behaviour and cognition so I actively research and apply this theory when handling new dogs. I'm comfortable working with rescue dogs, and happy to take it slow with seniors who'd prefer a relaxed visit. I'm out walking my dog whatever the weather, and I have flexible working hours so I'm happy visit your dog(s) during the day and take them on some lovely long walks! My house has enough space for small or large dogs, and I have an enclosed garden they can enjoy. My spaniel, Cleo, will be around to help your dog feel comfortable. 🐶 I'm out walking whatever the weather! My job is flexible, and I tend to have time in the afternoons, so I am available to help out during the day for walks or home visits. My dog gets treated like royalty and yours will too! I'll respond to their personality and work with you to meet their specific needs while they're with me.

About: Having had dogs in my own home since the age of 7 I feel more than qualified to keep yours happy. From teaching my ‘untrainable’ lurcher agility to pottering around with my elderly vizsla I’ve done it all. I have dog sat for various homes since I was 15 which inspired me to do my zoology degree and later to begin this degree in veterinary medicine. I have just completed a six month placement working as a wildlife care assistant where I not only learned valuable first aid skills but also invaluable experience in animal welfare and handling. My degree is 9-5 on Weekdays with Wednesdays and weekends off- I have plenty around this to help enrich your let! This is also only in term time so I am available for longer stays during the holidays My garden is completely fenced off with no exits (trust me if there were my dog would’ve found them!). The most important thing in my book of pet sitting is company and that means regular checks and playtime making sure everybody is safe at all times.

About: Hi my name is emmelia, I am 22 years old and I am a recent university drama school graduate, figuring out my next step. I love going on long walks in the evening, hikes on the weekend, and going travelling to new places I can explore. And of course I love the cuddles. I have 1 dog at home with my family who is a very cute cavapoo and she is very well behaved. I did this whilst I was at university walking people’s dogs and doing day care for them as well, and they kept coming back. I love long walks or just hugs and I’m happy for all weather conditions. I am currently back at home with my family looking for my next step, I love dogs and I am keen to go out on a lot more walks. I can go on long walks or short or just look after them for cuddles. I have a back garden which is only accessible for our household and fenced. We are able to make space for a crate if needed.

Diana is brilliant, she clearly loves dogs and was a fantastic house sitter. She had no issue in caring for our recently diagnosed diabetic dog, maintaining her twice daily insulin injections and fairly strict feeding regimen. Have already recommended her to friends and will definately use her again.

First time using a dog sitter and it worked out really well. We were away for a couple of days for our daughter's wedding so didn't want to be worrying about our dog at such a special time! Linda was completely calm and reassuring. We received a couple of updates with photos but not too many (we had other distractions). Eva seemed to take it in her stride too! Thank you Linda, we would definitely use you again in the future.

About: I can only offer day or overnight sitting at your home (not mine). I have always loved and been surrounded by animals. I had a German shepherd who sadly passed a few years back at the grand age of 12. I have always had cats, rodents and a horses. I have also volunteered at a local dog rescue home, dog walking and giving cuddles! I do hybrid working, working from home and I only work in person for 1 full day and 2 half days. Therefore my availability is evenings, weekends and some weekdays (when working from home). Due to living in rental I will only sit/board in the pets home. However I feel this is best for the dog, to be happy and comfortable in their own familiar surroundings. I will aim to do things in their normal daily routine to make the process easier on your pet.

Honestly couldn't ask for more! Never felt so comfortable leaving Simba with somebody. Clare is so kind and compassionate and knew exactly how to treat our fur baby! Simba settled right in and ate, slept and had a cuddle with Clare which for a dog that struggled with separation anxiety at times is truly testament to her wonderful nature and care with dogs! We rebooked for a week in December and will use Clare for all of our events and holidays. Thank you so much , Simba says he misses you already and can't wait for a sleepover week with you in December 🐾

Eve looked after our 4yo Labrador, Teddy, at fairly short notice. She was excellent and talked is through the process as we hadn’t used a dog sitter in our own home before. A very calm and kind nature, Ted seemed to very much at ease around her. She sent us picture updates through the day and the evening which we greatly appreciated! Excellent dog sitter, couldn’t recommend more and will certainly be using her again in the future 👍

Katie was absolutely fabulous with Axel, she even went out her way to come and meet him and us before the booking. Axel seems as though he had a great time with Katie and was chilled out and calm when we returned and had even eaten all of his food which he is particularly fussy about in different situations. Could not fault Katie enough and we will definitely book with her again ☺️

Imogen stepped in at short notice to look after my dog, Rolo, while I travelled to London for a meeting, and I couldn’t be more grateful. She’s absolutely lovely, very reliable, and clearly cares about the dogs she looks after. It gave me real peace of mind knowing Rolo was in such good hands. I really appreciate her help and would happily recommend her to anyone!

Kira came over in her free time before her visit with Ben to familiarise herself the house and Ben and introduce herself to him going out of her way to do this, was very friendly and great with Ben. During the visit she communicated well with me during the day to update me about Ben and my house was left as she found it. Was a delight to have you looking after Ben!

This was our first time using this service and Madison couldnt have been more helpful. She was happy to have a couple of visits before our trip to see if our pets were ok with her. She was respectful of our home, gave our pets lots of love and attention and provided numerous daily updates whilst we away which meant we could relax knowing our pets were safe and happy. Madison is now our trusted 'go to' pet sitter. I highly recommend Madison.

FAQs for House Sitting – Telford

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Telford on Rover is £40.25 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 980 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Telford . Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Telford walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Telford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
