Dog sitting fits naturally into my daily routine as I work from home, allowing me to provide consistent care and attention throughout the day. Being at home means your dog will rarely be left alone and will have plenty of companionship, supervision, and regular interaction. I’m able to structure my day around walks, feeding times, and play, while still maintaining a calm and stable environment. This flexibility also means I can accommodate specific routines, whether your dog is used to multiple walks, medication schedules, or just enjoys having someone nearby. Pet care is not just something I fit in around my day – it’s a core part of it. Alongside my work-from-home role, dog sitting is one of my main focuses, so your dog will always be well looked after, safe, and given the attention they deserve.

Safety, trust & environment

I provide a safe, loving, and structured environment where dogs can feel completely at home. I have a secure, fenced garden for outdoor time and a spacious home where dogs have plenty of room to relax and settle in comfortably. I live with my two friendly Jack Russells (aged 10 and 11), so I’m very experienced in managing different energy levels, routines, and personalities. I always introduce dogs carefully and can keep them separated if needed to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I stick closely to each dog’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and rest. I’m also happy to crate dogs if that’s part of their normal routine, and I can confidently administer medication when required. Your dog will receive lots of attention, care, and supervision throughout the day, with regular updates so you always know how they’re doing. My priority is making sure every dog feels secure, happy, and well looked after while in my care.

Information Patricia L. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for your dog, it’s really important for me to understand their individual needs so I can provide the best possible care. I’ll always ask about their daily routine, including feeding times, walking schedule, and sleeping arrangements, so I can keep everything as familiar as possible. I also like to know about their temperament and behaviour—whether they’re social with other dogs, have any anxieties, or anything that might trigger stress. This helps me create a calm and comfortable environment, especially as I have my own dogs at home. Please let me know about any medical needs, allergies, or medication requirements, as well as emergency contact details for your vet. I’m happy to administer medication as needed. It’s also helpful to understand their training level, recall, and any house rules you’d like me to follow (for example, furniture access or crate use). The more I know, the better I can tailor their care and make sure they feel safe, happy, and at home during their stay.

A typical day

A typical day in my care is structured, calm, and tailored to each dog’s routine. The day usually starts with a morning toilet break in the secure garden, followed by breakfast at their usual time. After that, we’ll have a walk or some playtime depending on your dog’s needs and energy levels. Throughout the day, dogs have plenty of companionship as I work from home, so they’re rarely left alone. There’s a mix of supervised garden time, indoor relaxation, and enrichment to keep them happy and engaged. I make sure to follow their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and settled. In the afternoon, we’ll usually have another walk or play session, followed by some quiet time to rest. Dinner is given according to your schedule, and the evening is more relaxed, with lots of attention, cuddles, and time to unwind. Before bedtime, there’s another toilet break, and dogs settle in for the night in their usual setup, whether that’s a bed, crate, or designated sleeping area. My goal is to make each day feel familiar, safe, and enjoyable—just like being at home.

Pet care experience

I have several years of hands-on experience caring for dogs through both personal ownership and pet sitting. I previously worked as a dog sitter, where I consistently maintained a 5-star review rating thanks to my reliability, communication, and the quality of care I provide. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, so I’m very comfortable with different breeds, temperaments, and routines. I understand the importance of keeping dogs safe, happy, and well-exercised, as well as sticking to their usual schedule to help them feel secure. I’m also a current owner of two Jack Russells, aged 10 and 11, so I have daily experience with both high-energy dogs and those needing a bit more patience and care as they get older. This has given me a strong understanding of everything from playtime and training basics to recognising when a dog needs rest or extra attention. Whether it’s walks, feeding, companionship, or just making sure your dog feels at home, I always provide a calm, caring, and attentive environment.

Just want to say a big thank you Pat for looking after our fur babies Mylo and Lola whist we were on holiday. They enjoyed their own holiday at yours with Teddy and Toby, and the regular updates and pictures was very reassuring for us, and allowed us to relax, will highly recommend your services.

Harley and myself would like to thank Patricia for the wonderful time Hayley spent with her and her 2 Jack Russells. Plenty of videos and pictures sent to keep myself reassured she was in good hands. I am always very fussy about who looks after my best mate but the care Harley had was 2nd to none. I will definitely consider Patricia again if I need someone to look after Harley. Thank you again, Patricia.
