Dog Obsessed Shih Tzu Mama
Hi, I’m Alicia! I got my first dog, Bear the Shih Tzu, back in February 2022 and it is safe to say that I am now dog obsessed (Bear even has his own Instagram account😆)! I have lots of experience in caring for my own dog including: taking Bear on lots of fun walks over the fields, completing beginner and level 1 training classes, going to lots of dog shows and as bear is a full coat (long haired) Shih Tzu he requires lots of grooming to keep him clean and tidy - I am confident that I can transfer my skills to looking after your doggos too! I have gained experience in dog walking through shadowing a local dog walker and also have my own dog accessory business where I meet a wide variety of dogs at events - I love meeting all of the cute pooches! I am always reading about dogs, including canine nutrition and behaviour with the hopes of becoming a clinical animal behaviourist after my degree. Dogs are my entire world - Bear has more outfits than myself 🤣- and I can’t wait to look after your fur babies! I also have experience in looking after other animals too: I grew up with cats since birth and have looked after both of my neighbours’ cats several times whilst they have been on holiday; I also had 2 guinea pigs. I am fully insured for dog walking, boarding, and pet sitting.

Booked Alicia for the second time to look after our cat while away for a week, and once again was so grateful for the care she gave. Our cat enjoyed all the cuddles and the opportunity to go outside on her harness - it was really reassuring to know that she had someone checking in on her who spent time making sure she was happy. Food bowl and water were consistently checked and topped up as needed, and litter tray was also checked and dealt with as well. I really appreciate the attention and consideration Alicia gave to all aspects of looking after our cat, and will definitely rebook again!

We would like to highly recommend Alicia’s dog boarding services. From day one until the day we collected Dotty our Bishon Frise, she sent us photos,videos and provided us with regularly updates of Dotty. Her attention to detail and caring for Dotty was second to none. She provided Dotty with all her home comforts as she would have got at home. This gave us peace of mind whilst being on holiday. Alicia’s own Dog Bear is really loving and calm and Dotty got along lovely whilst staying there. We are so grateful to Alicia, Bear and family for there unwavering love and care towards Dotty. Alicia was amazing, going above and beyond what we’d asked when she was looking after our cat, as well as checking on food, water and litter. Our cat is often sad when lonely so she loved playing with Alicia, who gave her her full attention in each visit.

Schedule
I am a student at The University of Warwick, I commute here from home, which means that I am still able to look after your pooches on my days off, on weekends, evenings and during the holidays!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced garden, and the house is dog heaven - full of dog toys and lots of yummy natural treats! There are multiple dog beds around the house so your dog can sleep/chill wherever they feel comfortable. My own Shih Tzu is 3 years old and is such a happy and friendly boy, he gets along with all other dogs and will love playing with and meeting your fur baby❤️! I am happy to feed your dog any food (as I have experience feeding raw) and will always cater to your dogs allergies to ensure they don’t consume anything they can’t have! Dogs are more than welcome on furniture and I am always up for face licks and giving them tummy rubs! I am also happy to hire out a private enclosed field for your dog to play in off lead (I also have some agility equipment I could take) if you wanted to arrange this. I also am fully insured personally as well as the rover guarantee.
Pets
A typical day
I will ensure that your dog has lots of fun by playing their favourite games with them! I have lots of different enrichment toys to keep them mentally stimulated and prevent them getting bored. My own doggo will love to play with yours if they want to! I’m also happy to do some trick training with them :) Your dogs will be brought along on days out with bear and I so that they have a fun time and are fully supervised and not left on their own at home unless you have specifically requested not to take them out.
