House Sitting in Malvern Hills

About: I've grown up around dogs and am passionate about giving them the care and love they deserve. I've always been an animal person having cats, hamsters, horses, guinea pigs and rabbits! My family have had pet staffys for many years, but all my friends have different breeds. Unfortunately our staffy, Martha, passed away at the age of 16 in September so we no longer have our own dog. I am a long-distance runner so if your dog requires plenty of exercise I'll happily take them out for hours running across the hills, or if you have an elderly pup we can go for a short stroll for them to enjoy the familiar smells locally instead. The weather won't ever stop me from getting outside and enjoying some exercise with a friendly companion. My years of experience come from having my own dog. I'm currently taking a career break, having worked in mental health forensic services for the last 9 years. My jobs have been emotionally demanding so I'm looking forward to taking a break and hopefully having a career change to work with animals more as that is where my passion lies. I have a large fenced garden and plenty of space inside for your dog to get comfortable. I have 2 furry cat friends who are used to dogs being around, as long as your dog is okay with them too. We are all friends here :)

About: Growing up with various dog breeds from small to large since before I was born, I have extensive experience of all ages. For my 7th birthday I asked for a kitten and brought her up with love and care until she sadly passed of old age. I have previously volunteered as a foster carer for dogs and have been able to confidently meet all of the needs and wants of those in my care. I am currently a mature student, completing a masters via distant learning. This means I am at home all day and have complete freedom to give all the time and attention that your pet wants. I am happy to look after your pet either in your home or mine. I have a house with a fenced garden and no other pets at home (except for a fish but he’s no bother and in a secure tank). There are lots of beautiful walks locally with open green areas to explore whilst out and about on walkies. I have 2 children, aged 8 and 11 who are extremely confident with pets, however, they will never be left alone with any dogs or cats and are at school during the day.

About: We’re a married couple who’ve both grown up with animals and are very active, spending lots of time outdoors, so long walks in any weather are no problem. We’re confident with puppies needing consistency, senior dogs who prefer a slower pace, and everything in between. We also have experience with cats, rabbits, hamsters, mice, tortoises, sheep and donkeys. We’re comfortable with medication, special diets and specific routines. If your dog has a bedtime biscuit, we’ll keep that going. If you use commands in another language, we’re happy to learn them. We’re also open to longer stays and advance bookings, and can step in to keep things running smoothly so you can head away feeling confident everything at home is in safe hands. We’ve got no other commitments while we’re caring for your pets, so our time is completely focused on them. We step into your routine exactly as you’ve set it up, keeping everything familiar so there’s as little disruption as possible. Walks, feeding times, play, cuddles, bedtime rituals — whatever your pet is used to, we follow it. Our aim is for you to head away feeling confident that everything at home is running just as it normally would. We’re careful and consistent with routines, especially at night. We always make sure pets go out before bed and are safely settled wherever they usually sleep — whether that’s the boot room, a crate, or in the bedroom with us. We keep an eye on things without fuss and follow your normal setup so everything stays familiar and secure.

About: My parents Labrador, Ellie, often stays at our house with us for a few nights, we feed her, bath her, walk her etc! We’ve also taught her commands such as fetch, sit, lay down, role-over, stay, shake and spin. I’ve had dogs growing up, and have pretty much always had them around! Same for cats, I don’t ever remember not having a cat (or 4!) and I absolutely adore them. I have a completely flexible working schedule, so I really am available whenever you need me! That includes all days of the week, Monday through to Sunday! I’m unable to keep pets at home, but I can come to you! In terms of walking I will use whatever you use - I do have a full UK drivers license as well, that I've had for 10 years.
