About: I have regularly been caring for family’s pets and been on call as a reliable and keen helper for many years. I have cared for non-family pets and homes and treat them like my own. My partner Jack and I may work together on some of the services and he has many more years experience in dog walking and dog boarding with his mother’s previous dog boarding business. He has a cocker spaniel himself, called Bryn, so this would be optional to join the pets for company or keep them separate. I am a reception class teacher with the summer off so August and early September I am available for very flexible work. I plan from October to be living in a van with a more flexible lifestyle and some teaching supply work to keep my flexibility with my pet sitting and walking. As we move into the van we will be able to offer more flexibility regarding locations and lengths of stay, as well as drop ins or pet sitting. I treat the home and the pets as my own with all the care I can offer. I enjoy leaving the home in a good condition for owners to return to and to care for their pets as they would wish for themselves.
“Katherine has been an absolute dream to work with. This is our first time using a cat sitter and it could not have gone more perfect. She is professional and has a gentle and caring nature with our cats. They seemed relaxed and very well cared for during her visit! Thank you so much.”

About: I’ve always loved animals as a child and more so now as an adult. I have a miniature dachshund of my own & spend a lot of time with my mum’s 5 year old dog too. I have often spent spare time previously dog walking & visiting animals of friends & family whilst they were away. I can’t wait to meet you & your lovely pet!😊 I work full time but from home. So I am able to take care of your pet anytime of the day. Whether this is popping in throughout the day to check on them, walking them in the mornings, evenings and on my lunch. I can also house sit any day of the week as I am able to work from anywhere!😊 I am able to work with all breeds and types of animals. If your pet needs some extra care or has any additional needs please let me know, I am more than happy to help!

“Bethany was great. She totally look after Winnie our 1 year old cocker spaniel. Even in the heatwave Bethany was very considerate and was in constant communication with us. Would highly recommend.”

“Annie was brilliant with both our pets. Our cat is very timid but he came out of his shell and spent time with Annie. Our dog absolutely loved having her spend time with him and take him on a walk. Both our pets were thoroughly looked after as if they were her own and we would recommend Annie to anyone looking for a pet sitter”

“Wow!! Don’t even know where to start - perfect communication from initial enquiry to the end of the stay. Loads of lovely updates throughout, Ross went above and beyond on his stay and I couldn’t reccomend him enough - thank you, the dogs clearly adored you 💙”

About: Experienced in pet and house sitting, always receiving positive feedback from owners. Treating each animal with the respect they deserve, and importantly ensuring every owners mind is at ease whilst away from their very important companions! I am also a pet and equine photographer. I’m currently working part time, aswell as managing my own art and photography business from home. This allows for a lot of flexibility in my schedule. All safety requirements are handled professionally, and your home environment will remain secure during any home visit services. I can appreciate any uncertainty when booking for the first time - which is why I can provide many references on request! I value professionalism just as much as high-standard pet care. All pets are unique and individual and will be treated with high regard, ensuring all individual needs and routines are prioritised.
“Harry was absolutely wonderful! He was available last minute, took amazing care of our cat, Sushi, and our dog, Rollie, and left our home clean and tidy. We felt completely comfortable knowing our pets were in great hands. We would absolutely book with Harry again in the future!”

About: I have had cats since I was a child, I bond with most cats as I just Love them all! I treat them like babies , they all have their own little personalities! I have now retired so I have plenty of time to fuss your Cats and enjoy playtime! You can trust that your cats are well looked after. I can send daily messages and pictures by request. Stoke and fuss them and maybe playtime or sometimes they just want to sit on your knee for a cuddle. Check food and fresh water.
“Zoe was absolutely fantastic! We booked Zoe to dog sit in our home over 3 day's and couldn't have been happier with how it went. We had regular updates with pictures of Loki on his walks and relaxing at home, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our home was as clean and tidy when we got back as when we left it. We would happily book Zoe again without hesitation 🙂”

“We can't recommend Zara enough. We were visiting the area with a 5 month old puppy and Zara very kindly puppy-sat in our hotel room while we went to a family get-together. Finn was looked after very well and thoroughly enjoyed his time with Zara. He slept well, so he'd clearly been kept entertained. Zara was easy to communicate with before the day and was very flexible in supporting an unusual set of circumstances. Would certainly recommend.”

“I was immediately impressed with Izabela. Her biography showed that she was experienced with big dogs and on meeting my two greyhounds she was calm and well able to manage their excitement. They took to her straightaway and she was able to manage their anxiety at my leaving them with her with regular interaction and activities throughout the day. I consider Izabela will be an ongoing source of help for me and I am looking forward to planning other visits with her.”

“Rebecca was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Dillon. She kept me consistently updated with messages, photos and videos, which genuinely made such a difference while I was away (he’s basically my child, so this meant a lot!). It was so reassuring to see how relaxed and content he was with her. Especially as he can sometimes take a little while to warm up to new people. Rebecca was incredibly attentive, kind and thoughtful. She picked up on little things, kept me informed, and clearly gave Dillon lots of love and attention; he looked so happy and settled. She also took great care of my home, left everything spotless, and was just a pleasure to communicate with throughout. I would 100% rebook with Rebecca in a heartbeat and would highly recommend her to anyone. Dillon already can’t wait for his next stay with her 🥰”

“Cailey was a great sitter, brilliant communication in the lead up and was great on the day. Both the dogs seemed super happy when we got home and were really well looked after throughout the day 😊 I’d definitely use Cailey again”

“Lucy was professional in her communication and reliable when house sitting. She kept me up to date regarding Bruce and he seemed happy and healthy on our return. Only thing I would change is for the house to be given a quick hoover and bathrooms wiped down, I appreciate that everyone is different but this would be my personal preference. I have booked Lucy again to walk Bruce in Jan ☺️”

About: My friends describe me as the modern day Snow White. Animals are always drawn to me and I seem to be able to “speak their language”. I have grown up around all sorts of animals and have always owned dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish… you name it! I am very respectful of owner’s preferences and will pay attention to detail when it comes to looking after you fury friend. I have a bit of a quirky relation to animals via my job - I am a dog photographer! I have photographed dogs for over 5 years and know how to be patient with this who need it, care for those who need a more gentle approach and be playful with those puppies! I work part time and I work mainly from home! I am always around for my own dog Nova, so another pet for the day fits into my routine perfectly. I am flexible with early mornings / late evenings! Happy to discuss your needs. I have a fenced garden and keep doors closed / locked when they are inside the house. I have a pet safe house already due to my own dog. I will only take your dog off the lead if you suggest that is appropriate, I will spend time getting to know your dog and their personal needs / preferences as well.

“Emily was fantastic! I came home to a clean house with a very happy cat! I could tell he had been really well looked after and Emily was amazing at sending images and videos over everyday! She replied really quickly as well every time I messaged and was fantastic all around! Would absolutely recommend to anyone!”

“Elise was excellent, she looked after our puppy and old age cat like they were royalty. I received multiple updates during the day and she even left a full itinerary of his day so we knew when he went to the toilet etc. Would definitely recommend her to anyone needing a highly attentive pet sitter. She also left our apartment spotless which was fantastic!”

“Couldn’t recommend Steve highly enough! Our dog had the best time with him whilst house sitting for the week and clearly has been very well looked after. Steve was incredibly thoughtful and went above and beyond to accommodate some last minute requests. Thank you so much Steve!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Tewkesbury walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tewkesbury choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
