She had only previously met the girls briefly, but was a natural with them. Holly checked in with me daily, updating me with how the girls were getting on. She sent me photos of them on their walks, in the garden and snuggled up with her 🥰. This was so reassuring and I felt like I could relax and enjoy my holiday knowing they were in such good hands. She also took care of our home. She left the house immaculate and even double checked when bin day was, so we didn’t miss out. About: I am an ex veterinary nurse, professional jockey and have owned and worked with all domestic pets, horses and even a monkey. I am qualified dog trainer and experienced in showing dogs. I and am a level 3 racing professional, ex jockey and BHSAI. I have worked with the Blue Cross with their horses and dogs and I also have experience with small animals such as rabbits and guineapigs I work from home, so im very flexible. Pets come first in my world, so I schedule walks, garden breaks, grooming and feeding throughout my day at intervals with my work. I work with the pets environment to schedule garden/yard breaks, walks, quiet time. I will only lead walk for safety reasons whilst dogs are in my care, twice a day. I do keep to the daily routine they are use to in addition. The distance depends on the age, breed and ability of the dog in my care. For all other animals I will follow the clients schedule and daily routine.

“Steve was a great sitter for our dog, Mabel. His communication was really good and he sent us photo updates which made us feel relaxed that our dog was in good hands. He also came to visit us and meet Mabel a few days before sitting, so they got to know each other beforehand. Mabel seemed very happy when we came home and she had clearly enjoyed having Steve look after her. About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and care I have for animals since a kid. I have experience with lots of different types of dogs, so I am comfortable caring for different breeds, sizes and personalities, whether that means they have lots of energy, are playfulness, nervous, laid-back etc... I have two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to know that your pets are happy, safe and well cared for while you are away. I am constantly dog walking, often on long walks, and I'm happy (if they enjoy it and need it) to give your dog plenty of exercise . I'm an actively fit person, so I love it too! For me, house-sitting isn't just about being in someone's home - it's about making sure their pets receive plenty of attention, companionship, love and exercise, while keeping them comfortable in their normal routine. I live a very flexible lifestyle and have much freedom in what I can do. I treat every pet as an individual and always aim to give them the same care and attention I would give my own pets. Quick Note - I have been looking after peoples houses and pets for a while now. I am new to Rover, before I used to advertise on Facebook. I'm currently working part-time. My job is very seasonal (busy in summertime) and I am not sure how long I will be staying there as of right now. I am starting an online business at the moment, so it is easy to work off my laptop when I need too. My schedule is very flexible. I have a fenced garden at home, I also have two lovely dogs. One is younger and a little more crazy, but she is good as gold. And my other is older and very chilled. they love having company and get along with all dogs. They are both Cocker Spaniels. Some dogs thrive on long countryside adventures, while others are happiest with a gentle stroll and plenty of sniffing. Ernie happily walks for up to an hour, so I’m more than comfortable with active dogs, but I’m just as happy taking things at a slower pace for puppies, seniors or more relaxed companions. Outside of pet sitting, I work in creative production where organisation, communication and attention to detail are part of my everyday life. I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own, keep your home safe and well looked after, and ensure you return to happy pets and a home exactly as you left it. I’m used to planning my day around walks, feeding and making sure my own dog gets plenty of attention and stimulation. I know how much trust it takes to leave both your pet and your home in someone else’s hands, so I’ll always treat both with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, toilet breaks, sleeping arrangements and any specific instructions you leave. I’m careful with doors, gates and leads, and I’ll always make sure pets are safe and settled before leaving. I’m also very respectful of people’s homes and will keep everything clean, tidy and secure. Most importantly, I’ll send regular photos and updates so you can relax while you’re away knowing everything is in safe hands.

About: For the last couple of years I have taken care of a whippet regularly having her to stay for up to a fortnight and just loved it. As a child we had labradors and my sister worked in a rescue. We also love learning about dog behaviour and are avid watchers of dogs behaving badly and all things around dog psychology. As a psychotherapist this aspect interests me. Really happy to help people out by caring for their pets. I have a daughter so they would need to be ok with children but otherwise I am very adaptable. I work part time self employed so I am not out of the house for big stretches of time. The dog would come on both school runs and also an additional walk if necessary. I have a fenced garden and no dogs or cats myself. We are close to nature and have woods and a large football field nearby for exercising. I am happy to go to your house also.
