“Yan and her husband were amazing and most accommodating--they came and picked up Campbell and were very patient with her when she didn't exactly want to go! And then they brought her back to the pub where we were after the play. Great great experience! Will use them again--which is much higher of a compliment than anything we can say in a review!”

“Phoebe had such a lovely time with Imogen. She loved spending time with Imogen’s two friendly dogs, and the overall environment of her home was safe and friendly. I would highly recommend Imogen, and will look to use her again when needed!”

“We were very apprehensive about leaving our 3 month old puppy but due to prior commitments we decided to give it a try with Cath - so pleased we did! Our pup had a great time and had the opportunity to socialise with Cath's and others dogs and came back after very happy. Cath sent through updates and pictures each day too. Would definitely recommend Cath and will be looking to book again.”

“We cannot say enough good things about Jennifer! Our dog, Dookie absolutely loves spending time with her. It’s such a relief to go away knowing he isn’t just being watched, but truly cared for. Whether he’s having the time of his life out on the farm or relaxing at home, Jennifer ensures he gets tons of stimulation and attention. Dookie always comes back happy, and we can tell he’s been treated like family. If you’re looking for a sitter who genuinely loves animals, Jennifer is the best!”

“Honestly could give Alex 10 stars!! Alex has been absolutely amazing so accommodating to storms routine and needs. Alex’s communication was brilliant, super responsive and constantly sending updates and photos which completely put my mind at ease whilst on holiday. I love how well storm and Bella got on too. Thank you so so much will definitely rebook again in the future 🥰🩵”

“My boy Everest stayed with Alice and her partner for one night and quickly became buddies with Alice’s dog Winston. They took great care of my 7 month old puppy and we’ll most definitely be using Alice again. Thanks so much for treating Everest like your own!”

“Daniel was great. He picked Ernie up for a short overnight stay while my partner and I got married. Ernie took to him pretty quickly, ollie even said he didn’t get a good bud look from the dog! Daniel was really communicative and clear. It’s great to know that Ernie had a wonderful time while he was away! Thanks Daniel, I’m sure you’ll see Ernie again soon!”

“I booked Chloe at short notice after another arrangement fell through, and from her first message I knew Yoji would be in safe hands as she asked all the right questions. I received regular photos and videos, and came home to a very happy, tired pup. I’d happily book with Chloe again.”

“Dane and his partner clearly love dogs and are very experienced at looking after them. Communication was very good and Dane sent me photos of my dog every day, and she'd clearly had lots of walks and good times. Highly recommended.”

I have volunteered at the Dogs Trust, cleaning, walking and caring for dogs needs. I own a mini dachshund and live close to the green way and racecourse for frequent walks. I am a dog lover and would be happy to help. As I am a trainee teacher, I am available weekends and school holidays. I am available at weekends or school holidays for dog boarding. I am currently training to be a teacher and hold a DBS. I have experience looking after my own pet and volunteering with the dogs trust. I have one mini dachshund to keep your dog company and a small fenced garden. I am close to the green way and racecourse for walks.
“Bertie had a lovely day with Deborah and Kobi. He loves to play and I think despite their difference in size he’s made a new friend. Deborah is flexible and accommodating and we won’t hesitate to book with her again!”

“Ka Lam was great with Jen for the weekend. Provided regular updates. And was able to pick her up and drop her off as I can't drive after an injury currently. Would recommend.”

“Ludo was very happy when I arrived to pick him up and wasn’t fussed about coming home even though he was initially excited to see me. Back home he was very relaxed and had obviously had a lovely day. Thank you Kris and family xx”

About: I have a remote job for a tech company which means that your dog will never be left alone and can go outside or play with me whenever they like. I can easily adapt when I walk them based on their usual routines from early mornings till late evening, as well as multiple times a day. I want to dog sit mainly because I work remotely, my partner Alex works full time in Rugby so most of the day I am alone so I would adore some dog company! I would one day love to have a dog of my own, but as I have recently finished my Masters degree, started my career and bought a house that is still a few years away. My family dog Amber lives with my parents so I miss her terribly! Every dog I would look after would get the same love and care I would give her. I also spend a lot of time with my boyfriend’s family’s three Jack Russels, and having grown up in a village full of dogs who we often looked after growing up, I am very comfortable with different breeds, temperaments and energy levels including the really high energy ones. My home is in a quiet village with a fully dog proofed garden (chicken wire has been nailed to the open fence) that overlooks the fields. There is a dog park opposite where the dog can also be let of the lead for a good run around, as well as lots of good walks nearby. Even though I am new to this app I am setting my years of experience to when my family first got Amber which was 10 years ago as I have been looking after her so much in that time, as well as looking after different dogs in the village for either the day or for a week at a time. As I work remotely I can take my breaks and lunch whenever is needed for your dog. I am up early morning a few hours before work if they need a good walk in there as well. I have a fenced garden and can keep watch of them at all times to make sure they are safe and happy. I can adapt their living based on what they have at home: I can put a baby gate up if they are usually not allowed upstairs, or allow them or not onto furniture depending on your preferences as well. I also have a dog seatbelt for the car if they prefer to go to a certain park or need to be driven anywhere for any reason.

“Vicky looked after our four month old Vizsla all day today and did a brilliant job! She kept in contact with me throughout the day and took excellent care of our very lively puppy. I would highly recommend her!”

“I can’t recommend Laura highly enough! She looked after my cat while I was away for a week, visiting multiple times a day, and took such wonderful care of her. My cat is quite timid, so I was naturally nervous about leaving her, but Laura was incredibly patient and kind. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much reassurance, and it was lovely to hear how well my cat had settled with her. Laura is reliable, caring and clearly loves animals. Knowing my cat was in such safe hands meant I could relax and enjoy my holiday. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Laura again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic pet sitter.”

“Fantastic sitter! Annie did a great job taking care of my two cats for a couple of weeks. She kept to a regular routine with daily visits, giving them extra attention to the point where they were very comfortable around her, and she was able to send me daily pics. Thank you Annie!”

“Sian was amazing, we are very grateful to her for taking such wonderful care of our two cats. She used the drop in logging and visit report features really well, so we felt really well informed, and her communication was excellent. When we got home the cats weren’t bothered, which must be a sign of how well looked after they felt 😂 thanks again Sian!”

“It was Holly’s first visit but she took the time to get to know the dogs. I have one who’s really not good with new people, but the fact she was able to take a pic of him sitting quietly in the garden speaks volumes. Delighted to have found someone reliable and fairly close by who I can call on when I can’t be there myself.”

“I booked a last-minute trip and Steph was able to cover for all the days I was away. She was very diligent and looked after my cat, following all the instructions I left for my cat's special diet. I returned to find a happy, well-fed and watered cat. Steph is professional and responsible and cannot recommend her enough.”

About: PLEASE NOTE: I am only offering boarding and day care in the dog owners home, in effect, I would also be house sitting for the dog owner. PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately I don't drive and can only take requests from dog owners who live near a bus route or train station. I have always had an affinity with dogs; or rather they have an affinity with me! Dogs I have never met before always bound up to me and want to play! I have a very calm and patient personality which I think dogs pick up on. This in turn calms them and makes them feel comfortable. I am also an artist and a lover of the outdoors, which means I am always aware of my surroundings, taking in information that could inform my art as well as the surroundings the dog is in - I take my time whilst walking dogs as it's important for them to explore the environment they are most comfortable in - the outdoors. I work part-time so I will be able to work round people's individual needs. I will block off on my calendar when I am unavailable I always follow sitters specific instructions regarding how well their dogs are around other people, other dogs and stick to specific areas permitted by the owner.

About: Hi! I'm a genuine animal lover who works from home, so your pet will have plenty of company, attention, and care throughout the day. For cats we can offer separate secure spaces and tailor to specific needs like feeding and medication. I share my home with my friendly 18-month-old female Cockalier and my laid-back 5-year-old male cat, both of whom are used to being around other animals. My home has a large, secure garden for playtime and exploring. I aim to provide a relaxed, home-from-home environment where pets feel safe, happy, and loved. Whether your pet enjoys playing, snoozing on the sofa, or receiving lots of fuss and cuddles, they'll be treated like part of the family. Of course, there will also be plenty of treats (with your permission!) and regular updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I

“Olivia is absolutely wonderful. Her love for animals is quite obvious, as is her respect for her clients. She made sure she asked about everything at our meet prior to sitting. Then when she watched our two cats for a few days, I received photos, updates about everything (any messes, demeanor of my babies that visit, etc) and she used Rover Card promptly after each visit. Truthfully I did not even know what Rover Card was because previous sitters had not used it! I highly recommend Olivia (but hate to admit that in fear that she will get booked up!). We will be requesting her services again next time. Thanks Olivia :)”

“Julia is an excellent dog sitter. She was very attentive to our dog’s needs and sent regular updates. She genuinely cares for the dogs she looks after and truly goes the extra mile for them.”

About: I live at the edge of the most beautiful walks. I have had elderly, blind, deaf, diabetic and dogs with a heart condition so administering medication is second nature. I have home bred four litters of puppies who were toilet trained before they left to go to there well-vetted homes. I miss my dogs and would love to have another one in the house again. Weekends are open to discussion I work part time from home and my husband walks over the hills every evening. We miss our dogs very much (they have now all died from old age) They would be treated like one of the family. The leather sofa in the kitchen is indestructible and my retriever used to lie there all day when she got older
“It was the first time I’ve left my 2 poms with anyone other than family but Alex was so good with them, made me feel reassured and sent me lots of updates. They were very happy and look forward to their next play date with Alex and Bella 😍”

About: We are Claudia and Sean, a married couple in our mid 30s, living in Blockley with our 3 year old Cavapoo Milo. We have been home and dog sitting for 7 years professionally, through Trusted Housesitters with over 20, 5* reviews and now we have dogs to stay at ours for boarding, day care and sitting. Having relocated from London, we understand how important it is for dogs to continue socialisation and training and company. We are comfortable caring for dogs in all types of weather, capable of managing the heat and ensuring your pets safety. We have experience with a variety of dog breeds, however at this time we are only able to accept smaller dogs. Our usual dogs are cockapoos, cavapoos and dashounds. We are comfortable administering oral and other medication, eye drops etc. We run our own pet sitting business and therefore all dogs will be cared for by both of us, unless notified otherwise. We have been on trusted house and pet sitters for years and have just transferred over to this platform. We live in a rural setting with an enclosed garden, dogs feel right at home in our cottage. We have great walks on our doorstep. We are happy to have your dog overnight with us, or housesit for you within a 20 minute radius.
About: My wife and I both grew up with dogs, we've had our own for over 3 years now. We've been sitting dogs via rover for over two years now. We like to take our dogs for a long morning walk, around 5km and a shorter afternoon walk to make sure they're well exercised. My partner and I work mostly remote, there is always one of us at home so we are very flexible with sitting and walking dogs. We have a dog of our own, we always like to have a short introduction first to ensure they get on (we haven't had any rejections yet!). We always walk the dogs at least twice a day: a long walk in the morning and a shorter walk in the afternoon. We have a fenced garden with lawn area for the dogs to sunbath and run around in.
“Crash loved his stay. He was entertained throughout the day. Crash loves playing fletch with the ball. The dog sitter was quick to response to my request and we did a meet and greet session before booking Crash in. I would use their dog services again. Highly recommend.”

“Alice was wonderful, from the first meet and greet. My nervous rescue took to her immediately and both my dogs came back from their stay relaxed and happy. Alice was also really great when we had to change some details of the timings due to us being stuck in a terrible traffic jam and we really appreciated that.”

I enjoy spending time with animals, and I am flexible enough to meet their needs throughout the day. I currently do not have a fenced garden, but my primary focus is on taking dogs out for enjoyable and safe walks in the fresh air. I ensure that they get the exercise, care, and attention they need during our time together. I am attentive to their safety, keeping them on a lead when necessary, and always following the owner’s instructions regarding their routine and preferences.
“Amanda has looked after my dog (Ethel 9 months) several times now as day care and is a star. Each time my dog has left the car excitedly wagging her tail on the way to her house and has zoomed in eagerly. She always has a lovely walk and enjoys spending time with Amanda’s chihuahuas playing around. When booking she is quick to respond and takes an active interest in the needs of the dog. During the day, Amanda sends photos and updates which helps make me feel reassured that Ethel is having a great day.”

About: Having had pets since I was a child, I am capable of doing all relevant tasks to make sure your pet is happy and loved. I am self employed, meaning I am able to create my own schedule and create a plan suitable for you, your pet and also me! “Rita our border terrier enjoyed her stay with Annabelle. Annabelle was reliable and responsive in her contacts, and allowed us a quick preliminary visit to help settle Rita. We had photos of her stay and Rita was looked after as if their own. Thank you so much.”

“Cath and the dogs in her home were all amazing with my 7month old puppy who can sometimes be a bit anxious of meeting new people and dogs. Cath kept me updated with pictures and videos of the pups playing and snuggling together which was really reassuring. Can’t recommend her enough, my puppy can’t wait for her next visit!”

About: My husband and I live in a detached house in Lower Slaughter, right in the centre of the Cotswolds. We live with Poppy, our 3 year old Cockerpoo, and Banjo, a small 2 year old Goldendoodle. We have a large enclosed garden and dogs are ranked above humans at our house! Expect lots of cuddles, zoomies and naps in front of the (sealed) fire. Very relaxed household, where dogs are allowed on furniture and encouraged to play. I’m a freelance designer who works at home, so your pets will never be left alone. I take the pups out regularly to stretch their legs in our garden. We have a large, enclosed garden, where your fur babies can run freely with our two friendly dogs. When it’s time to relax, dogs are welcome anywhere in our home.
About: I've grown up with dogs - we had three gorgeous labradors on my Grandad's farm when I was a toddler. I work from home and have a secure garden that has plenty of shade so it's always cool enough for dogs to find somewhere to have a snooze. I start the day having a long walk with my dog, then work remotely so will always be at home if dog-sitting. I often do a lunchtime walk if it's cool enough. Then, at the end of the day another long walk. I have a secure garden and a super friendly husky who gets on with everyone and their dog. The garden is well-shaded with trees overhanging and a gazebo.

“Mikey was punctual, very pleasant and happy to chat about his experience with dogs. He accompanied my husband on a walk with Sully so hubby could brief him on Sully's traits and habits and also to see if Sully took to him. All went smoothly and I'm now feeling happy that we've sourced a great dog walker for those times when we are unable to do it. Thank you so much, Mikey!”

“Sian helped me out last minute. Really appreciative. I did not meet Sian but she kept me well informed and was confident to come and help me without meeting the doggies. Thanks Sian and I would definitely recommend her!! It was unfortunately very expensive but hopefully I can plan in advance as would like to use Sian again. Thank u”

About: Hi, I’m Lucy - a reliable and experienced dog lover based in Charlbury 🐾 I provide a calm, home-from-home environment for dogs, where they are treated like part of the family. I live in a spacious home on the edge of Charlbury, surrounded by beautiful countryside walks, and I have a very flexible schedule so your dog will get plenty of time, attention, and care throughout the day. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and grew up around my dad’s work as a police dog handler and trainer, giving me experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’ve also raised my own dogs from puppies and have experience with senior dogs, so I understand the different needs they may have. At home currently, I have two friendly and well-socialised dogs: • Kobe, a 5 year old cockapoo, who is calm, gentle, and very relaxed • Ovie, a 1 year old toy poodle, who is playful, friendly, and loves other dogs Both are great with other dogs and have spent plenty of time around dogs of all sizes, ages and many different temperaments. Your dog will be cared for in a relaxed household setting, with: • Daily walks (morning and afternoon) • Lots of attention and companionship throughout the day • Comfortable and flexible sleeping arrangements (crates available if preferred) • The option to socialise or have their own space if needed We also have a secure patio garden and a fully sectioned home, so I can easily adapt the environment depending on your dog’s needs and personality. I understand how important it is to feel confident leaving your dog with someone, so I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages to give you peace of mind. I’d love to meet you and your dog so feel free to get in touch! 🐶🩷 I currently have a very flexible schedule, so I’m able to give dogs plenty of time, attention, and supervision throughout the day. My own dogs are walked every morning and at least once again in the afternoon, with a mix of longer countryside walks and shorter outings depending on their needs. Dogs staying with me are included in this routine and are rarely left alone or can be supervised at all times if required, making this ideal for dogs who enjoy company and a home environment. I provide a safe, calm, and home-from-home environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. I live in a spacious home with plenty of room to relax, and I can easily section areas of the house if a dog needs their own space. I have two very friendly, well-socialised dogs, and I always introduce dogs carefully to make sure everyone is comfortable. We have a secure patio garden for outdoor time, and we’re surrounded by beautiful countryside walks. Dogs are walked at least twice daily, with a mix of longer and shorter walks depending on their needs. I’m happy to walk dogs on or off lead (with owner consent), depending on their recall, temperament, and what they’re used to. All walks are done with safety as the top priority. I also have access to nearby secure dog fields, which are a great option for safe, enclosed off-lead exercise and playtime, particularly for dogs who enjoy more freedom or need a secure space for a good run around. I have experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments, and I’m confident adapting care to suit each dog’s individual needs. Crates can be provided if preferred. We also have a very calm, elderly cat who keeps to himself and has his own space away from the dogs. I’m always happy to provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can feel completely at ease while you’re away.

Bowie loves the company at home and on walks. We live in a terraced house with a secure garden. We have plenty of dog bowls, treats, toys and sofas to allow dogs on. Some days the dog field is booked to accommodate certain customers.
“Tabitha was excellent at communicating and had a successful walk with Marco - everything was returned as I'd left it at home and received some lovely photos of their walk too.”

About: I absolutely adore animals, and my gentle giant Loki and I love welcoming extra furry (and feathered!) friends into our world. Whether it's a quick pop-in to check on your pet, a refreshing walk, or staying over to keep them comfortable in their own home, I treat every animal with the same care and patience I give my own. At home, I share my life with Loki (a giant breed dog), 2 cats, 2 chickens, and 3 quail, so I'm genuinely comfortable with all kinds of animals and their quirks, big, small, feathered, or four-legged. As a giant breed owner myself, I know how much trust it takes to hand over care of a large or strong dog, and I bring that same calm, confident energy to pets of every size. I live in the countryside and spend much of my own time outdoors, so walks are never rushed. I know beautiful routes right from the front door, plus a short drive to woodlands, parks, and National Trust grounds 🌳. For house sitting and pop-ins, I focus on keeping your pet's routine consistent and stress-free, so they feel safe and loved while you're away. Your pet isn't just "looked after" with me. They're cared for the way I'd want mine cared for. I work from home so your pet will always have some company. I can accommodate your special pet care needs and happy to provide whatever you need! I have a gated courtyard and a large grassy garden for your pets to enjoy! Your pet will be welcomed into our loving, caring and secure family cottage.
About: I have had pets my whole life and looked after family, friends and strangers animals for over 10 years. I believe all animals deserve the best care from their owners and/ or pet sitters. I have experience administrating/ injecting diabetes medication for dogs and have looked after deaf, blind, big or small dogs. I’m currently working part time, so roughly 3 to 4 hours a day so pet care works really well with my schedule as there is no long periods where they are left alone! I have a secured garden where my own dog roams and has not managed to escape for 10 years! There is grass and lots of various things for them to sniff around and explore.

“Phoebe had such a lovely time with Imogen. She loved spending time with Imogen’s two friendly dogs, and the overall environment of her home was safe and friendly. I would highly recommend Imogen, and will look to use her again when needed!”

“Dane and his partner clearly love dogs and are very experienced at looking after them. Communication was very good and Dane sent me photos of my dog every day, and she'd clearly had lots of walks and good times. Highly recommended.”

“What a fab time our two dogs had with Julia.. we had lots of updates and photos. They were totally happy and would have been more than happy to stay longer. We were able to have a stress free weekend knowing that our dogs were safe and sound”

“Pablo had such a lovely time staying overnight with Heather and her daughter. It was our first time using Rover and she made us feel so reassured and comfortable! Pablo loved playing with Heather’s dog Honey in their garden, and he came back such a happy and snoozy boy who had clearly had a fab time. We received regular updates and photos too - a perfect stay! Thanks so much Heather.”

“Sophie is brilliant! I left my little Maltipoo with her for a couple of days and she was so lovely and caring and attentive. Good communication and regular updates / photos throughout. The little guy was super happy, and was keen to go back. Would recommend Sophie any day!”

“Brilliant was extremely happy from the first time I contacted Jenny to when we collected our dog. I was kept updated during her stay with messages and pictures which my mind at ease. Would 100% recommend. We will be using Jenny again”

“Absolutely superb care for our dog, who came back with a spring in her step after a week with Megan. Megan has lots of open space to explore safely, in a lovely area. She helpfully accommodated a necessary last-minute change and is approachable and friendly. Can't recommend her enough.”

“Our first time using Rover and we certainly picked the right person! Leaving the dogs with Emma felt completely safe. Emma sent us pictures of the dogs throughout the time she had them which we really appreciated. The dogs always looked happy. We would 100% use Emma again and would recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much for looking after them for us.”

“This was Baileys 7th or 8th stay with Martine and Alex. As always we couldn’t have been happier knowing Bailey was in their extremely capable (and loving) hands. Martine is always great with communication and send lots of photos and updates which we love. It’s obvious they treat Bailey with so much love and care, as she is always excited when she realises where she is and quickly makes herself at home. On this occasion we had a last minute unavoidable change in our plans. This lead to requesting to extend the booking and although Martine and Alex had some other bookings in between they went above and beyond to assist in getting Bailey cared for. We couldn’t have been more appreciative as they took one thing off our plate when dealing with a lot of plan changes and organising ourselves. Knowing Bailey was in their hands relieved a lot of stress and worry at a difficult time. I just cannot recommend Martine & Alex highly enough. We often talk about how lucky we are to have found in them, the absolute best match for our Bailey girl.”
