About: Hi, I’m Karolina! If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pet as if they were my own, I’d love to help. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve owned both a Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix and a Miniature Pinscher mix, so I understand that every dog is unique, whether they’re a gentle giant or a little bundle of personality. I also worked in an animal shelter, where I cared for animals of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. My role included walking, feeding, transporting animals, caring for dogs recovering from surgery, helping new arrivals settle in and providing day-to-day care. Some dogs were full of confidence, while others simply needed patience, kindness and someone they could trust. That experience taught me how to adapt to each animal’s individual needs and always put their wellbeing first. Alongside this, I’ve looked after dogs through BorrowMyDoggy and spent three years living with and helping care for a Cocker Spaniel and a Westie. Caring for animals has never felt like a job to me—it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pet with someone else. That’s why I’ll take the time to learn their routine, respect their personality and make sure they feel safe, happy and loved while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you’ll always know how they’re getting on. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or special requests. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! 🐾 I currently work in hospitality, so my schedule varies and often gives me extra flexibility throughout the week. In my free time, I love being outdoors and spending time with animals, so pet care fits naturally into my routine. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit or overnight care, I’ll make sure your pet receives plenty of love, attention and care. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else because I’ve been on both sides. I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own, following their usual routine, respecting your instructions and making sure they feel safe, loved and comfortable. You’ll receive regular updates, photos and messages, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy and well looked after.
“Gemma is as fantastic sitting for my two puppies they were really happy and well cared for and Gemma left the house immaculate! Would definitely recommend and use again. X”

“Wow!! Don’t even know where to start - perfect communication from initial enquiry to the end of the stay. Loads of lovely updates throughout, Ross went above and beyond on his stay and I couldn’t reccomend him enough - thank you, the dogs clearly adored you 💙”

“Tatiana was an absolute delight and our lovely Kiki had an amazing time with her - we could tell she was very well looked after! Two long walks during the day which was so good for our little cocker spaniel. Punctual, polite and a very nice girl! We would highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve always loved animals as a child and more so now as an adult. I have a miniature dachshund of my own & spend a lot of time with my mum’s 5 year old dog too. I have often spent spare time previously dog walking & visiting animals of friends & family whilst they were away. I can’t wait to meet you & your lovely pet!😊 I work full time but from home. So I am able to take care of your pet anytime of the day. Whether this is popping in throughout the day to check on them, walking them in the mornings, evenings and on my lunch. I can also house sit any day of the week as I am able to work from anywhere!😊 I am able to work with all breeds and types of animals. If your pet needs some extra care or has any additional needs please let me know, I am more than happy to help!
“Zoe was absolutely fantastic! We booked Zoe to dog sit in our home over 3 day's and couldn't have been happier with how it went. We had regular updates with pictures of Loki on his walks and relaxing at home, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our home was as clean and tidy when we got back as when we left it. We would happily book Zoe again without hesitation 🙂”

“Within minutes of first meeting David, I had full confidence my dog was in good hands. David was very happy to accommodate my nervous and sometimes bitey dog, he really understands the personality of animals. He sent me daily updates, and it was lovely to hear how my dog was more comfortable around him each day, quickly being excited when David would arrive at the front door. It would be impossible for me to think of anything David could have done better.”

“Alex did a great job looking after our dog in our home whilst we were on holiday and gave us real peace of mind that she was being well looked after whilst we were away. Alex is kind, caring and clearly has a genuine love for animals. We received updates and photos throughout which was reassuring and allowed us to relax knowing our dog was happy, comfortable, and being well cared for. We returned home to a happy, relaxed dog and a house that had been looked after with great care. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alex to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring house sitter. Thank you Alex!”

“Heather was fabulous with my super anxious little dog. She spent long enough on a get to know you visit that he actually fell asleep near her which is unheard of. She wasn't fazed when he was barking at her on her first day. And by day 2 he was following her from room to room asking for belly rubs and looking sad when it was time for her to leave. House was immaculate when I came home and she was happy to strip the bed and make it before leaving. Highly recommend.”

About: Experienced in pet and house sitting, always receiving positive feedback from owners. Treating each animal with the respect they deserve, and importantly ensuring every owners mind is at ease whilst away from their very important companions! I am also a pet and equine photographer. I’m currently working part time, aswell as managing my own art and photography business from home. This allows for a lot of flexibility in my schedule. All safety requirements are handled professionally, and your home environment will remain secure during any home visit services. I can appreciate any uncertainty when booking for the first time - which is why I can provide many references on request! I value professionalism just as much as high-standard pet care. All pets are unique and individual and will be treated with high regard, ensuring all individual needs and routines are prioritised.
“Annie is wonderful with out 2 Labradors. gave them complete attention and walks.. played with them and the boys were so happy. Also as an overnight sitter 100% trustworthy. The best dogsitter !! Professional and everything you could ask for. Thank you”

“We can't recommend Zara enough. We were visiting the area with a 5 month old puppy and Zara very kindly puppy-sat in our hotel room while we went to a family get-together. Finn was looked after very well and thoroughly enjoyed his time with Zara. He slept well, so he'd clearly been kept entertained. Zara was easy to communicate with before the day and was very flexible in supporting an unusual set of circumstances. Would certainly recommend.”

“Bethany was lovely , Finn was well looked after and by the looks of things had a lovely time while Bethany looked after him. the house was clean and tidy and the plants well watered. thankyou for caring for him so well and we will see you next time Finn, Alison & Phil”

“Highly recommend booking with Izabela! Great communication from the start and lovely updates during the booking. A very genuine and responsible sitter with lots of experience. The meet and greet beforehand was really helpful to ease my anxiety about using a sitter for the first time too. Freddie had the best day and is already looking forward to seeing Izabela again! 🐕🐕🐕”

“Isabella house sat for us this weekend to look after our two dogs - she was fantastic. With a rebooting visit to talk through practicalities. She is polite, friendly, responsive and brilliant with the dogs. Thank you Isabella and see you in August when you sit for us again.”
“Rebecca was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Dillon. She kept me consistently updated with messages, photos and videos, which genuinely made such a difference while I was away (he’s basically my child, so this meant a lot!). It was so reassuring to see how relaxed and content he was with her. Especially as he can sometimes take a little while to warm up to new people. Rebecca was incredibly attentive, kind and thoughtful. She picked up on little things, kept me informed, and clearly gave Dillon lots of love and attention; he looked so happy and settled. She also took great care of my home, left everything spotless, and was just a pleasure to communicate with throughout. I would 100% rebook with Rebecca in a heartbeat and would highly recommend her to anyone. Dillon already can’t wait for his next stay with her 🥰”

“Harry was a great sitter for my dog again. He looked after him really well, was understanding with the dog's needs and provided all the walks etc needed for an energetic animal! My place was left clean and tidy as well. Also grateful for Harry being so flexible and understanding with the changes I had to make in the booking process - it's much appreciated. Definitely recommended!”

About: My friends describe me as the modern day Snow White. Animals are always drawn to me and I seem to be able to “speak their language”. I have grown up around all sorts of animals and have always owned dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish… you name it! I am very respectful of owner’s preferences and will pay attention to detail when it comes to looking after you fury friend. I have a bit of a quirky relation to animals via my job - I am a dog photographer! I have photographed dogs for over 5 years and know how to be patient with this who need it, care for those who need a more gentle approach and be playful with those puppies! I work part time and I work mainly from home! I am always around for my own dog Nova, so another pet for the day fits into my routine perfectly. I am flexible with early mornings / late evenings! Happy to discuss your needs. I have a fenced garden and keep doors closed / locked when they are inside the house. I have a pet safe house already due to my own dog. I will only take your dog off the lead if you suggest that is appropriate, I will spend time getting to know your dog and their personal needs / preferences as well.

About: We took some time out to complete some home renovations, but we are ready to welcome your furry friends back into our home ❤️ I have owned and looked after dogs since I was 13. Since getting our first puppy I truly can’t imagine my life without them. I love to provide a home away from home for your furry friends 🥰 I rescued a beautiful Shepherd mix from Turkey in 2019 so am experienced in rescue dogs or dogs with particular needs. We love to provide a home away from home for your dogs and will send regular updates and pictures. We live close to some beautiful walks so your furry friends won’t be without adventure. I am lucky enough to work from home full time so have a very flexible schedule that allows me to care for your dogs and be there throughout the day I have a good sized fenced garden to ensure your dogs safety. Our house is quite large so we’re confident we have the space for large and small dogs to ensure a comfortable stay. My partner and I are very versatile so can care for all dogs and are confident we can make them as comfortable as possible.

Sheryl visited us twice before the sit to learn all about our lively spaniel and to share a walk with her. Our holiday was very relaxing knowing that Indie and the house were in safe hands. Whe pays incredible attention to detail which was very reassuring and both Indie and our home were all happy and in good order on our return. We would highly recommend her services,

Carly helped us out very last minute after we had an issue with our previously booked sitter, and we wish we'd booked with her in the first place! Our Dillon took to her immediately and he was so well cared for whilst we were at work. Couldn't recommend more highly!!

Ella helped us out on about an hours notice after an issue with another sitter left us stuck just before work! She was the most relaxed presence and made everything so much easier. Dillon took to her straight away and communication was great. Couldn't recommend more highly!

Chris was fantastic; from clear and consistent communication, a great bond with our dog and a conscientious caretaker of our home whilst dog sitting, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of dogsitting services. Thanks again Chris for being awesome!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Cheltenham walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cheltenham choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
