I am a self employed performer, working part time in a local restaurant, so I have lots of time during the week to look after your lovely pups. I usually work Friday and Saturday evenings and Sundays during the day with the occasional dance class or weekday evening shift thrown in, but I always know of thee changes at least 2 weeks in advance. So I am able to facilitate whatever works best for you!

Safety, trust & environment
I will make sure that your dog gets plenty of attention and lots of walks, regardless of weather (unless you specify that you want me to stay in the house with your dog). I will make sure to only let them off their lead in enclosed safe environments and only feed them any treats or foods that you have approved first.
Information Amy S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know a little about your dog! Are they full of beans or more relaxed? Are they ball mad or is fetch the very last thing they'd want to play? Do they have any specific fears or other triggers for anxiety or stress that I should be aware of? And how to they get on with other dogs? Are you happy for they to get treats to help them learn and be stimulated on their walks, or would you prefer a toy rewards based system? The more you can tell me, the more both you and your pup will get out of the experience!
A typical day
This will entirely depend on your dog. Generally I will make sure we go on a long walk or two, regardless of weather, and play with some of their favourite toys. If they are older or injured and walking lots isn't for them, then we will go for a slow and short relaxed stroll and maybe sit in a park or outdoor café for a while so they can still enjoy all the new smells and get some stimulation without getting tired out. If you are doing any specific obedience training with them I am happy to practise that with them as well. I will also play lots of games with them with their favourite toys, as well as giving them some time to rest.

Pet care experience
I have helped to take care of my family dogs from the age of 9, when we fostered our first hearing dog puppy. Growing up socialising hearing dogs for the deaf means that I have experience with a lot of puppy care and training. My mother also opened her own dog training business for a while so I learnt a lot from her during that process. I have a great love for all animals and would love to help you care for yours!

Reviews

Can’t recommend Amy highly enough. Our dog, Magnus, took to her immediately and had the best time with her. Add to that, she’s a lovely person. We will be calling on her regularly.

Amy was fantastic, couldn’t have looked after Horace better myself!

Amy was absolutely fantastic while house sitting my dog, Junior. From the very start, she was kind, caring, and attentive, making sure Junior felt comfortable and loved. She gave him plenty of cuddles and attention, and it was clear how quickly he bonded with her. Junior was so happy having her around, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. I couldn’t recommend Amy highly enough and I’ll definitely be asking her again in the future!

Never left our dog with anyone, we were very nervous and it was difficult to find someone to trust but Amy was an absolute superstar, she was in touch several times a day, sent picture and kept us updated at all times. Very grateful for how well she looked after Obi and miss 100% use her in the future.
