Having 4 cats of my own and being freelance means I can spend hours on end with my babies. There is of course the daily feeds, litter cleans and water top-ups, but the best time of day is sitting at my work computer, one cat on my lap, another by my feet and another in the doorway (number 4 cat likes to keep to herself more so I respect her space). As for your babies, I will ensure as much time as possible is carved into my day to spend time with them and keep them comfortable and happy.

I take great joy in learning about how animals like to spend their days. Need space to themselves? I get it. Need lots of walks each day? I'll set my fitness tracker to marathon mode. Need to be petted for 3 hours straight and will have a strop if not? I'm the queen of non-stop love. I'm also aware that when looking after your pets, it's not just them I am mindful of. I will be entering your home, your safe space and I take that responsibility very seriously. Just let me know any specifics about your house and I will ensure everything is done by the book.

A typical day
Everyone has their own idea of fun and that includes animals. Whatever you tell me your animals' favourite things to do are, I am more than happy to accomodate. This can range from kitten and puppy training, playing with their favourite toys, long sensory walks, chilling in front of the tv together, having a social day in town or hanging out with their friends. Whatever they love, just let me know!

If you really think about it, all animals want is to be loved and cared for (“and to be fed, duh!” - Cosmo, my cat, currently sitting on my lap as I write this). Hello! I’m Alex, a 31-year-old freelancer who is the annoying friend who will excitedly point out a cat or dog, even if we’ve literally just walked passed 3 others. I have always had a deep love for animals, particularly cats, as I have had seven over the years, but all animals are equally special to me. Show me a rat, dog, worm, elephant, pigeon or snake, and I’m instantly in love. I have years of experience looking after my own cats as well as family and friends’ pets, including dogs, hamsters, hedgehogs and more, so I would be honoured to meet your animal babies and take care of them whilst you’re away. Alex did a great job looking after our dog in our home whilst we were on holiday and gave us real peace of mind that she was being well looked after whilst we were away. Alex looked after my cat Lily really well, taking her outside almost every day on her harness since she loves being outdoors. She sent lovely photos of Lily and some short videos of Lily playing as well. She came reliably and I could relax on holiday knowing Lily was well looked after. Lily bonded well with Alex who gave her much needed cuddles. 🥰
Alexandra took such wonderful care of our cat while we were away. She was kind, reliable, and kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave us real peace of mind. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Alexandra again. Highly recommended 😸
Alex was brilliant when looking after our 2 cats! She was really friendly, easy to get on with, and we felt completely at ease leaving them with her. She understood their different needs and personalities right away - handling our very nervous cat perfectly, (including managing to give her medication) and giving our younger boy all the fuss and attention he needed! She kept the house tidy, cleaning up some cat sick, washing up bowls etc, and sent daily updates so we never had to worry. Could not recommend her enough!
