About: I am a passionate animal lover. I am very protective of them and always try to look after their necessities (Food, water, walks, games...Inc. Giving oral medicine) I enjoy their company whether it is in an outdoor or Indoor setting... I like to spend some good quality time with all domestic pets! I have experience with elderlysenior & therapy dogs! :) I am currently working & studying part-time. My work timings are generally on Fri, Sat & Sun in the early afternoons and early evenings. My study times are fairly flexible. Yet, mostly during the day time! I am generally able to accommodate and plan around the pets needs as my part time job works on a log in- log out type of basis - giving me the freedom to choose if I'm able to take on the job(s) or not. I have a fenced small size garden at the back of my flat :) ...It is a very safe, clean and green environment for pets to utilise

“Leanne and her partner Pav, are such lovely and warm people and also big dog lovers! Ripley had a lovely time with them and they kept on sending pics with updates throughout the day. 😊🐾”

“Charlotte looked after Horace for the day and I think he was in dog heaven. He had a lovely walk and plenty of fuss and just the right amount of treats. She was really communicative and took loads of pictures during his stay for me to see how his day was. I couldn’t imagine a better place to leave a dog, especially a whippet!”

“Highly recommend Annabel. Biggie loved playing with her dog,and I went sent regular pictures which I really appreciated as it was our first time leaving him with someone. Will definitely be rebooking again,so glad I found someone who myself and biggie are happy with! Thanks again for taking great care of him 🙂”

“Sophie was once again an absolute star with Joey! As he was unfamiliar with being in new surroundings, he unfortunately left his "mark" in multiple places in Sophie's house shortly after we arrived. Sophie was very understanding and forgiving :-) Joey has a great day exploring and giving and receiving cuddles, and Sophie was kind enough to brave the storm to drop him at home quite late at night. Fab experience again and I will have no hesitation in continuing to use Sophie's services and recommend her to others.”

“Kristen is lovely and always takes good care of Coco, always communicates well and is kind and flexible. Coco always comes home happy and gets on with Kristens 2x doggies too! Will book again. Thank you”

“Kim helped with pick-up and drop-off when we requested, which we really appreciated. The care was good overall, but communication was quite slow. Thank you for taking care if Lara for the day.”

About: My name is Shannon, I am 30 years old from the UK. I have previous experience house/pet sitting mostly when I was living in New Zealand (unfortunately I have no reviews on here as it was with a NZ company) I also worked in a Kennel in Australia working with different types of pets including dogs, cat, rodents, rabbits and some farm animals. I have also worked in Zoos as a Keeper so I am very organized, clean, officiant, always go above & beyond and am used to administrating medication if needed. I have just returned from Australia where I run a busy baby flying fox nursery every season. I have been volunteering with them for the past 9 years but now seeking to travel the UK and pet sit while seeking a permanent animal job here in the UK. I am currently taking a break from working at a Wildlife Hospital so I am flexible at the moment until otherwise stated. I will keep clients updated on work schedule. I live on a farm where there is huge fields to run through and small streams to swim in. I can walk your dog either on his/her own or take them with the other friendly dogs at the farms.
“Can't recommend Claire enough, really helped us out incredibly last minute, and Ayce came home after day care incredibly chilled out and happy, he obviously had a great day!!”

“Bethan is so lovely and accommodating. Takes time to find out about what your dog is like and their needs. Bear loved his day with her and her dog Darcy , he came home properly tired.. We will definitely be booking again !!”

Sarah was fantastic with our super nervous elderly dog, communication was great throughout and she kept us updated with photos and videos during Evie’s stay with her which was really reassuring as this was her first time away from home. Would definitely recommend Sarah

Charlotte looked after Horace for the day and I think he was in dog heaven. He had a lovely walk and plenty of fuss and just the right amount of treats. She was really communicative and took loads of pictures during his stay for me to see how his day was. I couldn’t imagine a better place to leave a dog, especially a whippet!

Our whippet Nugget had a lovely first day with Rachel. She is tired out today after all the fun socialising! Rachel was fantastic and caring. I felt completely comfortable leaving Nugget with someone who obviously understands dogs so well. She was flexible and understanding about my delayed train. Would highly recommend her.

Dominika and Adam were fantastic and took great care of our two miniature Dachshunds, Nori and Nala. They were incredibly responsive and made us feel completely at ease during the handover in the morning. It was clear from the start how caring and attentive they both are. They even took the girls for a lovely walk around the beautiful park just across the road from their flat. We couldn’t have asked for better care and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and compassionate sitters. Thank you x
Izabela is very experienced and Casper felt at home right away in her house. He can sometimes be stressed when I leave him, but it sounds like she did a great job helping him settle and he enjoyed play with other dogs. I felt assured leaving him in her care, thank you Izabela!

Luna loves going to Leah's, I always know she's happy and well cared for and getting lots of enrichment. She loves having a run and play with the other dogs and cuddling up with Leah and James. They have done an amazing job at making her comfortable in a new place

We had a great first experience using Rover and booking with Hannah. She took the time to meet us beforehand, which really put us at ease. Our youngest can be a bit nervous, but the updates and photos showed both dogs having a brilliant time and settling in really well. Everything felt easy, reassuring, and well organised, we’d definitely book with Hannah again.

It was our first time leaving Nacho with Anna and her family. She introduced the family members one by one so he wouldn’t feel overwhelmed. She took him for a walk and all the family played with him. He had a lovely time and we will definitely be using her again!!

We used Sophie and partner for day care, and it was great! Had last minute availability, was flexible with timings. Mickey was well looked after and he was certainly tired that evening. Thank you and Mickey would look forward to returning if you will have him 😃

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
