Shannon did a great job looking after our Ragdoll Milo. She visited him everyday and we received every detail of him every time she visited. She was very flexible and communicated well with us and at the same time she was very understanding about our concern over Milo. Milo had become very friendly with Shannon and had lots of cuddles🥰. We were very happy with what she did for our little fur baby and we would never hesitate to book her again😍

I had complete confidence in Gemma who dropped in to feed my cats while I was away. She sent photos each day which was reassuring as they are outdoor cats. I can recommend Gemma and would use her again

Lily did an excellent job looking after my cat. Lily was very consistent, arriving on time every day and leaving a rover card on each visit with a short update and lots of pictures of my cat so I could see she was well looked after. 🙂 Lily also kept my cat safe taking her around the garden with a harness after checking with me. I was able to enjoy my holiday knowing my cat was in good hands. 🙂

About: We took some time out to complete some home renovations, but we are ready to welcome your furry friends back into our home ❤️ I have owned and looked after dogs since I was 13. Since getting our first puppy I truly can’t imagine my life without them. I love to provide a home away from home for your furry friends 🥰 I rescued a beautiful Shepherd mix from Turkey in 2019 so am experienced in rescue dogs or dogs with particular needs. We love to provide a home away from home for your dogs and will send regular updates and pictures. We live close to some beautiful walks so your furry friends won’t be without adventure. I am lucky enough to work from home full time so have a very flexible schedule that allows me to care for your dogs and be there throughout the day I have a good sized fenced garden to ensure your dogs safety. Our house is quite large so we’re confident we have the space for large and small dogs to ensure a comfortable stay. My partner and I are very versatile so can care for all dogs and are confident we can make them as comfortable as possible.

It's my first time using a pro dog sitter, and I was nervous as I have an elderly Pugzu and a nervous Frenchie puppy so kennels aren't an option. Needn't have worried, my boys thoroughly enjoyed having Stefani and Alex look after them, even my nervous/reactive puppy was as happy as anything! I received plenty of brilliant photos of my boys smiling away and updates throughout the visits! Was so nice to enjoy our day out without worrying, and we came home to two very happy boys who wanted to tell us all about it! Will absolutely use again, 10/10! 😊

I've used Rover a couple of times before and Elise is by far the best sitter I've had. The photos showed she was interacting with the cats, giving them fuss and playing with them and when there was something she wasn't sure about she got in touch about it. Highly recommended and will definitely use again.

About: Hello, I’m Emma. I have over 15 years experience in pet care, including house sitting, dog walking and puppy training. I am also a dog wedding chaperone, helping happy couples have their beloved pets part of their wedding day. As well as offering services on Rover, I also have my own pet care business called Harris Hounds of Cheltenham. Full Insurence including public liability, DBS check and Dog First Aid Trained. Thanks for stopping bye, I look forward to hearing from you. ☺️🐾🐕 My services are subject to my availability as I do work but hoping to soon be in a position that I can do this full time. However I am free most evenings and weekends and also available to house sit whilst you are away. I am able to look after small animals at my place (weekends) and have a safe and secure garden. Any animals larger than your average small dog, it would be more convenient for me to look after them at your home. I am experienced with: - puppies - nervous dogs - elderly dogs - reactive dogs

About: I first began taking care of animals when the neighbors would ask my sister and I to watch their cats and small animals while away. Then I finally convinced my parents to get a family dog and that’s where most of my experience is! During covid years, my friend and I have been doing house/pet sitting for family friends for the past year and I enjoy it so much. Unfortunately we lost our precious family dog Jack a couple years ago and having moved from the US to the UK, I am seriously missing animal interaction ! I am pursuing a masters degree in social work from UoG and am currently on a full-time placement until the end of July. During placement I work Monday-Friday, 9-4:30 but am available in evenings and weekends. Once placement ends I will have much more free time and flexibility. While I am currently living in an apartment and will not be able to bring your pet home with me, I enjoy going for long walks in some beautiful neighborhoods or parks of which Cheltenham has plenty to offer! I am also happy to check in on your fur baby for potty breaks, feeding time, or just to share some company for a while or even extend it to overnight house sitting as well if that makes them feel more secure!

About: Hi there! We’re Matt and Daniela, lifelong dog lovers who truly enjoy spending time with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Matt grew up with two dogs and has always enjoyed their company. Together, we’ve looked after many friends’ dogs over the years — sometimes for just a day, other times for several weeks at a time. We know how important it is to find someone you can fully trust with your pets. That’s why we offer the same care, attention, and love we would give to our own. Whether it’s long walks, cuddles on the sofa, or keeping up with your dog’s routine, we make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. Your dog will enjoy fresh air, plenty of playtime, and endless affection with us. We’d love to meet your furry friend and make them feel at home — because when they’re with us, they’re part of the family. Daniela mostly works from home, so your pet will have company throughout the day — plenty of time for cuddle breaks, playtime, and regular walks to keep them happy and relaxed. We have a fenced garden to make sure your pet is safe when playing outside. Please let us know if there is anything we need to know to make sure your dog is safe with us.

About: I have been with cats and dogs since I can remember. Growing up with 4 cats in my family home and 2 dogs at my Nan’s house I have recently gone freelance as a photographer, so I am at home editing a lot. I shoot for a few hours a day but my availability varies widely. My house is secure and have a garden if your animal wants to go outside. Both neighbours have a small dog but there is no access to them.

About: I learnt the responsibilities of caring for dogs early on in my childhood. I have grew up with dogs since I was a baby, and have always had a deep love for animals. I took this passion and love of animals and wanted to pursue it as a career. I studied animal management at college where I gained 3 years work experience in a boarding kennel. I then wanted to expand my knowledge further and continued my studies at Hartpury University in Canine Training and Performance, where I graduated with a 2.1 (upper second-class honours). Through this time I have gained a lot of experience on caring for a wide range of animals. Including dogs, cats, reptiles, birds and even pigs! I volunteered at a pig rescue in Ireland where I learnt a lot about these spectacular animals, who are a lot like dogs! I've learnt to deal with animals of all kinds of temperaments and how to pick up on body language to adapt my approaches quickly to ensure safety for all parties involved. This also helps to ensure that the animals are as stress free as can be. I do work full time however, I am typically available Mondays and Tuesdays, and most evenings. However this can change due to my work schedule. I have a fenced of garden to ensure security during their stay. I am also very knowledgeable about canine behaviours and training so am easily able to pick up on signs of distress when out on a walk to adapt and change to the environment

Alex looked after my cat Lily really well, taking her outside almost every day on her harness since she loves being outdoors. Lily bonded well with Alex who gave her much needed cuddles. 🥰

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Cheltenham pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cheltenham choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
