“Annie did a great job looking after our Maine Coon. She was also kind enough to meet him before we went on our trip and Kermit instantly took a liking to her, which like almost any cat, is not common for him. Report cards were thorough and always had more than one picture attached.”

About: I grew up with two to five dogs at a time at our household, and me being the youngest, meant that I had more free time to spend with them. I always made sure that they were not only taken care of, but also made sure that they were happy. I valued my bond with all of them, and they taught me how to love and patient with everyone - especially dogs. Now that I've moved countries, I always miss them but it's always such an honour to meet new fluffy friends! They're lovely company, and deserve the best treatment. My dogs taught me happiness and friendship and I intend to make them proud today by how I will take care of yours! I currently WFH on Monday and Fridays, so I can be available for house sits the whole day, or dog walks/drop ins from 6:00 to 8:30, 13:00 to 14:00 or after 18:00 those days. I am free all day during weekends (subject to availability). Note that I no longer offer boarding services as I can no longer have dogs in my home due to family reasons. I have a garden for dogs to play with, close to big parks and I always ensure that I am aware of their wellbeing at all times. I am observant and conscious of their needs - whether that be food to just simple love and care!
“Sarah looked after my cats with lots of care and attention. Although one of them was sick whilst she was looking after them, she dealt with it and let me know straight away so I wasn’t worried at all. Really fantastic and I would recommend to anyone!”

“We cannot say enough good things about Ella! We had a meet and greet where we took the time to understand our routine, home, training and feeding schedules. We have just had our first booked session and could not be happier. Our puppy has separation anxiety, is on an awkward diet and I’m super fussy about who looks after her! So we’re not an easy booking. But within 2 minutes our puppy was calmly and happily playing and training with Ella. She immediately responded well to Ella’s extremely calm and patient nature and was totally content with her. This is a big deal as she’s a lockdown puppy and can be hesitant with new people. We’re looking forward to booking Ella again and feel so lucky to have found someone so kind to look after our puppy.”

About: Hi, I'm Mo, a South-West England based dog and cat lover who has grown up around animals my whole life and currently cares for pets belonging to family and friends on a regular basis. Animals have always been a central part of my life, and looking after them isn't a side hustle I stumbled into, its an enjoyable experience for me too that gives fulfilment other side hustles do not provide. I offer dog walking, boarding at my home, drop-in visits and house sitting across inner London. Whether your dog needs a good long walk, or your pet needs some company during the day, or someone to stay with them while you're away, I'll make sure they're looked after with the same care and attention I'd give my own. I know how much your pet means to you and ,so I treat every dog/cat that I look after as if they were my own (like my cute cat Nova). I'm reliable, punctual, calm around dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and communicative,so you'll never be left wondering how your dog is doing. I'm available flexibly across the week and can accommodate last-minute bookings where possible. I'd love to meet you and your pet before any booking, a quick meet and greet means we both feel confident from day one! I am usually working from home so I am home most days of the week during the mornings/ afternoons ,however I am able to accomodate for furry friends! Here's what a typical day looks like when I'm walking or boarding a dog: morning walks at a good pace with time to sniff and explore, regular updates and photos sent to you throughout the day, plenty of play and attention, and a calm, settled routine so your pet feels comfortable and at ease. I treat every pet in my care as if they were my own, which means safety and comfort are always the priority, not just during the booking but from the very first message. At my home (boarding and drop-ins): My home is a calm, clean and pet-friendly environment. I keep all potential hazards out of reach, ensure doors and gates are secure at all times and never leave a boarding dog unattended for extended periods. Pets staying with me have their own comfortable space to sleep and settle, access to fresh water at all times and a consistent daily routine to help them feel at ease quickly. I live in inner London with good access to local parks and green spaces for walks and exercise throughout the day. At a pet owner's home (house sitting and drop-in visits): I follow the owner's routine and instructions carefully and precisely: feeding schedules, medication if required, preferred walking routes, sleeping arrangements. I treat the home with full respect and discretion and communicate any concerns or changes immediately rather than waiting until the end of a booking. Communication: Pet owners receive regular photo and text updates throughout every booking so they can relax knowing exactly how their pet is doing. I never leave a client wondering. If anything changes or I have any concern about a pet's wellbeing, I reach out immediately and handle it calmly and responsibly. Meet and greet: I always encourage a meet and greet before any first booking. It gives your pet the chance to get comfortable with me, and it gives you the chance to see how I interact with them before committing. Transparency and trust from the start is how I work.
About: I have been around animals all of my life, from dogs and cats, to bearded dragons, mice, gerbils, budgies and fish! There's nothing more I love than getting out in the fresh air with the pup and going off to explore. My dog Hollie is a Romanian rescue, who we've had since she was 6 months old (she's now 6). She is full of beans, absolutely adores her older bro's, and likes nothing more than to snuggle up on the sofa after a stroll down the canal path. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. I currently work from home (but have flexible hours), so have total flexibility over visits, walks and playtime with your furry pals! At present I have up to 4 hours per day to cater for this, but will have additional availability over the summer months. I'm also available over most of the weekend. I have a large enclosed garden at home, but am lucky to be close to lots of open fields (and several secure fields, if required). Whether a walk, or a home visit, your pets safety and wellbeing will always my main priority.
“Lily came round to take care of our two cats whilst we were away. Lily has been brilliant - quick to respond to any query I had (first time Rover user!), has kept me updated the whole time with feedback and photos. I wouldn’t hesitate to ask Lily to look after our cats again in the future! ☺️”

“Artur was absolutely amazing with Rupert, it was all very last minute and he was just brilliant with Rupert and he put my mind completely at rest. He even went the extra mile popping in when I was worried about Rupert, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.”

“We were so lucky to have found Amy to look after our fur babies. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and the cats were settled and relaxed when we returned home. We will definitely be using Amy to care for our cats again! ”

“Fay did a great job looking after Mokosz during her drop-in visits. She kept me updated, sent photos and a detailed report from both visits, which was really reassuring. Mokosz was calm and happy when I got back home, and it was clear she had been well looked after. Fay followed all instructions perfectly and even made thoughtful decisions where needed. I’d definitely be happy to book with her again. Highly recommended!”

About: Having had our brittany for 2 years now me and my partner Fay have come to understand the need for overnight stays and drop ins. We have attended various training courses. We have a secure rear garden. We live in walking distance of a lovely pond area which our dog enjoys daily. We have a secure cage set up in our car which can accommodate 2 medium dogs separately. Our brittany is a very freindly playful boy and will enjoy the occasional play mate. Currently my partner Fay works from home 90% of the time and spends her day with our brittany. We are both available most evenings and weekends. Our boy has a good routine and is crate trained. He is treated like a family member and not just left to entertain himself. We would like good instructions from owners so that we can meet their dogs needs.

About: I have owned dogs of many breeds for over 30yrs and board dogs of all breeds through family and friends. As I no longer have my own dog this is the perfect balance for me to still have dogs in my life I currently work full time from home with a very flexible schedule, your dog would have a home from home experience and I will follow any routine you require I have an enclosed fenced and secure garden, there is a field very close by for walking and the dog will be allowed the freedom to use my home as its own
“Gabriella took amazing care of our wee Scratch. She sent plenty of photo and video updates and ensured he was well looked after for the duration of our holiday! I would definitely recommend and use again! Thank you ❤️”

“Orla is the first dog sitter I’ve ever used so I was naturally a bit nervous, but she has been absolutely fantastic and completely put me at ease when leaving my boy Bruce at home with her. At our first meeting to discuss everything, Bruce instantly took to her, he settled down with his head on her lap and fell asleep! He has never done that with someone he’d just met before, which really says it all. Orla has such a lovely calm manner and her experience with dogs really shines through, Bruce absolutely adores her! Bruce has lots of energy and Orla is brilliant at keeping him entertained and happy. She also sends through some great photo updates which I love, she is always very responsive and easy to communicate with, which gives so much reassurance while I’m away 😆 If you’re debating which dog sitter to choose, you can absolutely trust Orla. Thank you ☺️ xx”

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals — from dogs and cats to rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters — and can’t imagine life without them. I got my cockapoo, Kylo, as a puppy during lockdown and was fully responsible for her training, socialisation, and care. She’s now 4 years old, friendly, affectionate, and loves company. Raising her from a puppy taught me a lot about patience, consistency, and understanding different temperaments — especially as she can be a little anxious and has a sensitive tummy. I know how to create calm, structured routines that help pets feel secure and confident. I’ve also cared for friends’ dogs and cats, including those with specific diets or anxious personalities, and I always focus on finding the right balance of play, enrichment, and rest so every pet feels happy, stimulated, and relaxed. I work as a primary school teaching assistant during term time, which means I’m available for pet care on weekends and throughout school holidays. My role requires patience, attentiveness, and a nurturing approach—qualities I naturally bring into caring for animals too. Outside of school hours, I have the time and energy to dedicate to walks, playtime, and companionship, ensuring your pet feels safe, cared for, and well looked after. I live in a secure town house with plenty of space and open fields right outside — perfect for walks and fresh air. Pets in my care are treated like family, and I make sure each one feels safe, comfortable, and calm from the moment they arrive. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or visiting yours, I follow their usual routines for feeding, walks, and downtime to keep everything consistent. You’ll always receive regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your furry friend is happy and in good hands.
“Sian has been excellent with drop in visits to my young puppy. She is always punctual and an excellent communicator keeping me up to date with photos and information. Highly recommended”

About: Hi! I have nearly 10 years of experience working with and caring for rescue dogs, through both volunteering and professional roles in rescues. Having grown up surrounded by cats and dogs, I’ve developed a lifelong passion for animals and their wellbeing. I tailor every walk to your dog’s individual needs—whether it’s a gentle stroll for an elderly pup or one recovering from surgery, energetic playtime for puppies, or simply providing a safe and loving environment while you’re away. (Please note: pet sitting will be in your home, as I have a nervous dog of my own who needs space.) My skills include reading dog body language and caring for dogs with a wide range of temperaments—whether nervous, excitable, anxious, or reactive. I’m confident supporting dogs with behavioural needs such as reactivity toward other dogs, prey drive, and I’m happy to use a muzzle when required. I also have experience helping dogs recover after surgery, providing enrichment suited to their age and breed, and ensuring exercise is always appropriate for their individual needs. In addition, I’m able to administer oral medication or meds given in food (no injections). I’m dedicated to making sure every pet feels cared for, comfortable, and happy. Alongside Rover, I also run my own pet care business. While my Rover calendar may show availability, some time slots may already be booked by existing private clients. I always keep my calendar as up to date as possible and will confirm availability promptly once a request is made. I’m available most days, mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I’ll happily fit walks or visits around your pet’s usual routine to keep them settled and happy Your pet’s safety comes first. I respect your home, follow instructions closely, secure environments, and provide gentle, attentive care so pets feel safe and happy.

Annie was amazing with Gyda and Floki. They both seemed so happy and well looked after when I got home. She sent me daily updates and photos, which gave me great peace of mind. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter.

Maisie stepped in to cover Odie's usual sitter and everything went seamlessly. Odie seems to have taken to her very well (he is a good judge of character 🤭) and he was nice and calm when I got home. It's so good to find someone who is reliable and happy to spend time with him.

This was for the first time I use Rover and chose Artur based on his reviews and never regret the decision I've made. Artur explained the all process, replied very promptly and received updates about my Harvey daily. I do highly recommend him, and I know I can count on him when I need. Thank you!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Gloucester choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
