“Shannon did a great job looking after our Ragdoll Milo. She visited him everyday and we received every detail of him every time she visited. She was very flexible and communicated well with us and at the same time she was very understanding about our concern over Milo. Milo had become very friendly with Shannon and had lots of cuddles🥰. We were very happy with what she did for our little fur baby and we would never hesitate to book her again😍”

About: Hey pet parents! I'm Julie—a Tewkesbury-based pet sitter who genuinely treats your dogs and cats like royalty. Having had many dogs and cats of my own over the years from King Charles Spaniels and gorgeous Greyhounds, pedigrees to moody moggies, I bring a wealth of experience and genuine love for all doggos large and small 🐶 and purdies 🐱. Leaving your fur-baby behind can be tough, but I’m here to make sure they’re having just as much fun as you are! From muddy paw adventures on daily walks, sitting in your home while they snooze on their bed, to relaxed overnight stays with guaranteed playtime and cuddles, I’ve got you covered. Each dog and cat has their own quirky personality, and I take the time to figure out exactly what makes yours tick so they feel safe, loved, and thoroughly entertained. Quick info: Rate: Negotiable to your specific requirements. Please ask. Services: Walking, short stays, and overnight sitting/boarding. Looking for a reliable, dog and cat loving buddy? Send me a quick message—I'd love to chat and set up a meet-and-greet! I work mostly from home so your pets will become a part of my routine. They will fit in with my own pet’s schedule. I have a fenced garden the animals can rove around in and indoor access. My dog says the sofa is comfy and he’s willing to share it.

About: I have regularly been caring for family’s pets and been on call as a reliable and keen helper for many years. I have cared for non-family pets and homes and treat them like my own. My partner Jack and I may work together on some of the services and he has many more years experience in dog walking and dog boarding with his mother’s previous dog boarding business. He has a cocker spaniel himself, called Bryn, so this would be optional to join the pets for company or keep them separate. I am a reception class teacher with the summer off so August and early September I am available for very flexible work. I plan from October to be living in a van with a more flexible lifestyle and some teaching supply work to keep my flexibility with my pet sitting and walking. As we move into the van we will be able to offer more flexibility regarding locations and lengths of stay, as well as drop ins or pet sitting. I treat the home and the pets as my own with all the care I can offer. I enjoy leaving the home in a good condition for owners to return to and to care for their pets as they would wish for themselves.
About: My daughter and I are lifelong dog lovers based in Cheltenham offering dog boarding in a relaxed family environment. As a dog mum myself I know how important it is for your pup to be looked after in a loving home like they’re used to. Dogs in my care are treated like part of the family. I currently have a friendly, well-socialised Cavapoo called Honey, who loves other dogs and is very playful. I’m happy to tailor care to suit your dog’s personality and needs. I work from home full-time, meaning your dog will enjoy lots of company, attention and supervision throughout the day, with daily walks already a part of our routine! 🏡 Clean, secure home in Cheltenham with a large fenced garden for your dog to explore 💻 Working from home so your dog will have lots of company, attention and supervision 🌳 Daily walks (tailored to your dogs energy level) 🛋 Dogs are welcome to relax indoors on the furniture and be part of the family! 📷 Regular photo and video updates so you can relax whilst you’re away 🐾 I only take a limited number of dogs at a time so I can give each one proper attention 🚫 No smoking
“We would recommend Annie- good communication, polite and friendly and everything went smoothly when she looked after our puppy. Thanks for looking after Escher Annie!”

“This was my first tome booking Rebecca and certainly won’t be the last as she was super reliable, conscientious and took amazing care of my cat Naomi. I came back to a very relaxed and happy cat.”

“I was incredibly nervous as this is the first time I’ve had to use a dog sitter/checker before but can’t believe my luck that Lizzy said yes! She offered to meet them to see how they would get on before taking on the booking and discuss the logistics due to my particular circumstances, and they loved her. She kept me well informed of how they were throughout the day and went above and beyond to tackle muddy paws when I hadn’t thought about the risk of rain! Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve always loved animals as a child and more so now as an adult. I have a miniature dachshund of my own & spend a lot of time with my mum’s 5 year old dog too. I have often spent spare time previously dog walking & visiting animals of friends & family whilst they were away. I can’t wait to meet you & your lovely pet!😊 I work full time but from home. So I am able to take care of your pet anytime of the day. Whether this is popping in throughout the day to check on them, walking them in the mornings, evenings and on my lunch. I can also house sit any day of the week as I am able to work from anywhere!😊 I am able to work with all breeds and types of animals. If your pet needs some extra care or has any additional needs please let me know, I am more than happy to help!

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life, growing up with four schnauzers and a cocker spaniel. I also had my own schnauzer, Teo, back in Colombia, so I understand how much pets mean to their families. I’ll care for your dog with the same love, patience, and attention I’d give my own. I run my own freelance interior design business from my home studio, which gives me the flexibility to organise my schedule around my clients’ and their pets’ needs. This means I can offer home visits throughout the day for feeding, walks, playtime, toilet breaks, and companionship. I’m available on both weekdays and weekends where possible, and I’ll always do my best to accommodate your preferred times. I’m also happy to arrange a free meet-and-greet beforehand so we can get to know each other and make sure it’s the right fit for both you and your pet. Your pet’s wellbeing is always my priority. I currently offer home visits and dog walking, as I believe many pets are happiest and most relaxed in their own familiar environment. During each visit, I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine, making sure they have fresh food and water, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages for extra peace of mind. At the moment, I don’t offer pet boarding at my own home as I don’t have a garden. However, it’s something I’d love to offer in the future when I have the right outdoor space. Until then, I’m committed to providing reliable, caring visits in your pet’s own home, where they feel safest and most comfortable.

About: I’ve had experience working at a dog kennels, I’ve owned pets such as dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish and I currently have a black lab called Ozzy, he’s loving and so rewarding! I’ve recently started studying so I am very available to help around my studies! Just drop me a message and I can be very flexible! I will follow your wishes! With our dog we mostly have him on lead, but certain fields around Tewkesbury he’ll have a good run off the lead! Giving him lots of love when we’re at home!!

About: I have grown up around animals all my life, so caring for them has always been a natural part of everyday life for me. While I was away at university, I was trusted to look after other people’s pets, giving me experience caring for animals with different needs, ages, and personalities. I’ve always enjoyed spending time with animals and getting to know their individual characters, while making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I work full-time during the week (9–5), but I’m available for pet visits before or after work, as well as on weekends. I enjoy spending my free time being active and getting outdoors, so I’m always happy to fit walks into my schedule where needed. Whether your pet needs company, feeding, playtime, a walk, or simply someone to check in while you’re away, I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I take safety and trust seriously and will always make sure your pet feels comfortable, secure, and well cared for. I’m happy to follow their usual routine and take the time to get to know their individual personality, needs, and preferences, so they feel as relaxed and settled as possible while they’re in my care.

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.
Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Tewkesbury pet parents with similar pet households.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tewkesbury choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
