“Joella was fantastic! We were visiting Plymouth and needed someone to look after our puppy whilst we visited family. Joella met the evening before to meet pup and was so helpful and flexible. On the day, great Comms and pics whilst she had him. Thank you Joella! Fully recommend!!!”

About: I’ve been lucky enough to have dogs in my life for the past 20 years and have always had a huge love for them. I’ve regularly looked after friends’ and family members’ dogs, so I understand how important it is to know your beloved pet is safe, happy and well cared for when you’re not there. I’m a caring, reliable and patient person who genuinely loves spending time with dogs. I’d treat every dog as one of my own, giving them plenty of attention, cuddles, playtime and care. I also have a beautiful Golden Labrador who absolutely loves other dogs, so I think she would be delighted to have some new friends to keep her company too! Whether your dog needs walks, playtime, company or simply a loving home-from-home, I’d be more than happy to help. I work full-time as a teacher, leaving home at around 8am and arriving back home at approximately 3:30pm. However, your dog won’t be left alone all day. My husband is able to come home during his break to let the dogs outside, give them some attention and play with them for around half an hour before heading back to work. My eldest daughter is also often home before me, so there is usually someone around to provide company and reassurance. Once I’m home, your dog will be part of our family routine, with plenty of attention, playtime, cuddles and access to our secure garden. I’m also available for boarding at weekends and during school holidays, when I’m home much more and can give your dog lots of love and company throughout the day. I’ll always do my best to make their stay feel like a comfortable, happy home-from-home. I have a secure, fully fenced garden with plenty of grassy areas where your lovely dog can safely play, explore and enjoy some fresh air. I have a friendly dog of my own who love making new friends, although I will always make sure introductions are calm and appropriate. Your dog will be treated as part of the family and given lots of love, attention and care in a safe, comfortable home-from-home environment. I can also accommodate dogs who need their own space or quiet time when required.

“Absolutely fantastic experience with Anna today. She looked after my dog so well and I felt completely reassured knowing he was in such caring hands. ❤️ Anna kept me updated and sent me lots of lovely photos throughout the day, which was such a nice touch and really put my mind at ease. He looked so happy, relaxed and comfortable with her — clearly enjoying himself and making himself right at home! 😂🐶 You can tell Anna genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after and treats them like one of her own. I wouldn't hesitate to leave him with her again and would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind and caring to look after their dog. Thank you so much, Anna, for taking such wonderful care of him today. 🐾❤️”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life. As a child I had a collie growing up and then while bringing my young children up we had hamsters, cats and fish. Recently the family cat passed away so it’s strange having no furry companion in the home when I’ve had it my whole life. Both of my grown up children have dogs who I love walking and looking after and playing with. I retired early at the age of 55, so now I spend my time in the gym, spending time with my 1yr and a half grand daughter or with my sons labradoodle and cat who I look after when they go away or I frequently go and walk the dog when they are busy. I’ve also looked after my daughters mixed breed (staffie/frenchdog) in Belfast. So my day can revolve around your pet whether they love attention or rather be more independent I have a fenced garden and can drive to more scenic big walks or live local to fields and small walks. The dog is welcome throughout the home to feel relaxed
About: I have over 20 years of experience owning and caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds, from small companion dogs to large, energetic breeds. I currently have two friendly dogs of my own — Bella, a 5 year old Labradoodle, and Barney, a 3 year old Labrador. Both are well socialised, playful and love the company of other dogs. Over the years I’ve gained experience with: • Puppies and reinforcing basic training • High energy breeds that need mental and physical stimulation • Larger, strong dogs • Nervous or shy dogs that need reassurance • Following strict feeding schedules and routines • Administering oral medication if required I understand how important it is to leave your dog somewhere safe and loving. I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own. I work from home full time, five days a week, which means your dog will have constant company and supervision throughout the day. They will not be left alone for long periods. Our daily routine includes garden playtime, enrichment and a walk each day, either on or off lead depending on recall ability and your preference. I am flexible with drop off and collection times where possible. Dogs are fed separately to avoid stress, and I can crate your dog if needed. I closely follow owner instructions regarding feeding, routines and medication to ensure your dog feels safe, settled and at home.
About: I’m a passionate animal lover and genuinely believe that dogs deserve to feel safe, loved and completely at home while you’re away. I work from home, which means your dog will have someone around 24/7 and won’t be left alone. We have our own lovely dog, Mabel, who is friendly, gentle and very welcoming to new four-legged friends. She loves having company and is always happy to make a new friend 🐶❤️ if you live local you Bartestree then it’s likely you have already met her! I understand how important it is to leave your dog with someone you completely trust, so I’ll treat them as one of my own — with plenty of cuddles, attention, playtime, walks and lots of love. Our home is relaxed and dog-friendly, and I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, medication and any little quirks they may have. Your dog won’t just be staying with us — they’ll be part of the family while they’re here. 🐾❤️ Having had dogs for the last 20 years pet care is built into my every day life. Early morning walks in the Orchards, a lunchtime stroll around the fields and an evening sunset walk to the cricket pitch. I will offer your pets a safe space and lots of attention. We have a fully enclosed and secure garden so they can have as much outdoor time as they like. I will treat your dog as if they are one of my family. I promise to keep them safe and make sure they have a thoroughly great home from home experience.
About: I have nearly four years of hands-on experience working with dogs in a professional doggy daycare environment, alongside regular pet sitting for a variety of breeds and temperaments. During this time, I completed a Level 2 qualification in Animal Care and Welfare with distinction, giving me a strong understanding of dog behaviour, safety, and wellbeing. I’ve grown up around dogs, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. I’m confident handling dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I always aim to provide a safe, fun, and reliable experience for both pets and their owners. Pet care is a natural and consistent part of my daily routine. Having worked in a doggy daycare for nearly four years, I’m used to structuring my day around dogs’ needs, including regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and monitoring behaviour and wellbeing. I’m organised and flexible, which allows me to plan my day around each dog’s routine, ensuring they get the attention, exercise, and care they need at the right times. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday visits, or evening care, I’m used to adapting to different schedules. When caring for pets, I always tailor my approach to suit each dog’s individual routine, personality, and needs to help them feel comfortable and secure. In a pet owner’s home, I stick closely to their usual schedule, including feeding times, walks, play, and any specific instructions. This helps keep things familiar and reduces stress for the pet. I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and mental stimulation, as well as keeping their environment clean and safe. I’m also happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind. With my experience working in a doggy daycare, I’m confident managing different temperaments, energy levels, and group dynamics, and I always prioritise safety, wellbeing, and positive experiences.

About: Hello! I'm Amy! I work from home full time, which means your dog will never be left alone. They will have constant supervision, attention, and care throughout the day. We live in a calm, pet-friendly home (with a garden), access to lovely local walking spots and a secure space for play and rest. I have previously looked after dogs for friends and family, and have always found it rewarding and enjoyable. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet, and I will care for your dog as if they were my own. I am open to pet sitting and walking. I am more than happy for you to visit our home before agreeing to allow us to look after your pet. Feel free to get in touch. I look forward from you! I run my own business, which gives me a flexible, home-based routine rather than a fixed nine-to-five. That means I can build pet care naturally into my day, whether that is a morning walk before the working day starts, a midday check-in, or simply having a dog around the house with me while I work. I have looked after pets for family and friends over the years, so I am used to fitting feeding times, walks, and general care around a normal day without it feeling rushed. Because my schedule is mine to manage, I can offer consistency and genuine attention rather than squeezing visits in between other commitments. For walks and drop-ins, I follow the owner's usual feeding and toileting schedule, check the home is secure, and send updates so owners can relax. For house sitting, I keep to the pet's existing routine as closely as possible to minimise disruption. And in my own home, my flexible, home-based schedule means walks, feeding, and playtime fit naturally around the day rather than being squeezed in.
“Fantastic service, support and lovely connection with Rhiannon and posting this as two anxious cat mum's! Rhiannon took the best care of all five of our cats working across two houses and everyone was well fed, happy and relaxed when we came home from our break. We will not hesitate to book in with Rhiannon again and couldn't recommend her more highly. 😀🐾🐾”
About: Hi everybody! I’ve had my Cavapoo Rolo for 4 years now and the time has completely flown by! Over the years i’ve walked him 3x everyday and have taught him so many skills and we will be entering our first competition in 2026! Over the past year i have also took on caring for my grandmothers golden Labrador as she’s unable to provide walks etc, however still loves him and his company to pieces so i am honoured to be able to keep them together! I’m currently working part time from Fridays through till Sundays so have plenty of quality time and care for your pets. i’m quite an active person in my personal life, so depending on your pets needs, if they need a 2 hour walk or as little as 30 minutes neither will be a challenge. I have a fenced garden and have cctv surrounding the back garden to view. i also have a box for all post etc to not scare or aggravate pets.
About: I’ve been looking after my own animals and friends and families ever since i was a child, i’m excited to meet your fluffy cuties too. I am currently on maternity leave till August 2027, so i spend lots of time at home where i have the capacity to look after some fur babies. I have a fenced garden and a dog flap. Your doggys will always have access to the secure garden and downstairs living areas. They’ll get lots of cwtches and strokes.
“We found Caitlin to be a very conscientious carer for our cat during our 8 day holiday. Lots of feed back received with photos or videos each day. Cat litter changed when necessary. Play & cuddles provided during the hour session. We returned to a very happy cat. Fully Recommended! Very happy cat owners Mike & Fiona”

About: I am incredibly reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. I've had pets my entire life and for the past 10 or so years, I’ve cared for others in addition to my own. I have experience caring for dogs and cats, and of all different sizes and breeds. Growing up, I had a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and I have now got a mixed breed dog, Rottweiler x Border Collie x Rhodesian Ridgeback who always has lots of energy and 3 cats. From pet sitting, long or short walks, and of course taking care of my own pets, I’ve got experience with it all! I’ve also administered medication to dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. I trained Leia from 6 weeks old, so teaching puppies new tricks and helping train them is always a fun time! I will love on your pet with everything I have. I can look after your pets around my work times. In the week I work Monday - Friday so can look after your pets before and after work, and on weekends. Depending on where abouts you are I can also drop in at lunchtime. I work from home so I am able to happily do drop in visits, dog walking and long stays and give your four legged friends all the attention and love they deserve! I am unable to do home stays due to my cats, but rest assured, your pets will be well looked after within your home. I love dogs and cats that are not mine as if they were my own! I have many years of caring for dogs, cats and other animals. I am good at taking care of multiple pets and different types of pets. I have taken care of dogs and cats who need meds, older dogs/cats, puppies/kittens, etc. I will be engaging and loving with your pet. I am more than happy to meet your expectations and the needs of your furry friend and I will work with you on what you should need with flexibility and understanding. I can’t wait to sit/walk your treasured baby. If you decide to choose me, I will go above and beyond, as that is my style in life and with animals and people.

About: I’ve grown up around animals and currently have two very spoiled dachshunds of my own, so I understand how important routine, patience and affection are for pets. I also have experience caring for my mum’s elderly dog, so I’m comfortable adapting to slower walks, extra care and giving older dogs the attention they need. Alongside caring for my own dogs, I’ve looked after neighbours’ dogs and currently do dog walking and pet sitting for someone I met through work. I genuinely love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy and loved while their owners are away 🐾💛 I'm available for drop ins and walks Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 4:00pm, as well as weekends. I'm flexible and happy to work around your schedule wherever possible. Your pet will receive lots of care, attention, exercise, and love while they're with me. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable and cared for in their own home and stick to their normal routine as much as possible. I’m happy to follow feeding schedules, walking routines and any special instructions needed. I also have experience crating dogs if required and caring for older dogs who may need extra patience and attention 🐾💛
“Becky is lovely. Teddy clicked with her immediately and treated her like a long lost friend. This was Becky's first visit to our house and I felt very comfortable with her. She clearly understands dogs very well and behaves in an affectionate and kind way towards them. I will definitely be in touch with Becky again.”

Another brilliant job looking after our cats by Katie. As always, incredibly reliable and helpful. We have used Katie for twice-daily drop ins before, but this was the longest and she did a fantastic job at making sure our cats were safe, fed and watered. We will have no hesitation in asking Katie to look after our cats again in the future. A definite 5* cat carer!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in County of Herefordshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
