About: Dogs have always been such a huge part of my life – I grew up with them in the family and can’t imagine life without a wagging tail around. Over the years I’ve looked after lots of different dogs, both through Rover and outside of it, and I always find it such a joy getting to know each one. At home, I have my two gorgeous girls - Rue and Willow. They are both easy going, happy and playful pups that love to make new friends. I’m caring, reliable, and know how important it is to feel completely at ease when leaving your dog with someone else. Your pup will always be treated like part of the family when staying with us and no part of the house is off limit. We have a secure garden that they will always have access to and lots of lovely walks nearby. I am currently working within the NHS, and have lots of opportunity to work from home. I never leave the girls for longer than 3 hours anyway, meaning this leaves a good opportunity for frequent company and/or toilet breaks. I have a good-sized, fenced garden as well as a large playing field nearby where Rue and Willow love to walk in the evenings. The kitchen floor is nice and cool for warmer days, and there is always space on my bed for those that like to be nearby at night.

About: I have been around cats all of my life, and continue to have a super soft spot for them. My partner's cat Frankie is a big ball of fluff, and loves a belly rub! One of our childhood (three-legged) cats, Chester, was one of a kind, and despite his disability, still managed to bring home the occasional rabbit as a treat for us all! About: I have two lovely cats of my own which I have had for 8 years now. One of which unfortunately had cancer in 2025, during this I gave her the medications required without any issues. I have also done various cat sitting jobs, some of these jobs I simply kept the cat entertained with toys and cuddles or feeding in specific ways, such as if two cats must be fed separately. About: Hi, my name is Alix. I am 24 years old and live in a ground floor flat in matson, Gloucester. I have 2 children, 3&5 years old. I also have 4 cats who have been the first encounter for many dogs which I am happy to do with the owner here if your dog hasn’t been around cats before. I unfortunately don’t currently drive so you would need to bring your pooch to me. Caring for dogs is a passion for me. My children are used to dogs & my partner has 2 Staffordshire bull terriers at his mum’s who my children see regularly. I also have a jack russel and a jug at my mum’s who I absolutely adore and grew up with. I have my own fenced garden and will definitely take your pooch on walks at our local field! About: PLEASE READ! I am currently a University student so am based in Gloucester September - December and Andover June -September and mid December to January!! Am able to be very flexible, can accept sits as soon as 12 hours before and cancellations the same, very happy to work with any and all routines and have experience with disabled, anxious and “difficult” animals and am more than happy to work around whatever makes them comfortable. I have always loved animals and have been surrounded buy them from a young age. we had dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, tortoises and a hedgehog! i have been working and studying with animals for about 8/9 years now and am currently studying Clinical Animal Behavior and Training at University. I honestly love doing rover work while studying as not only does it mean I have a lovely quiet place to study but going out on walks means I get out and about in study breaks which is so important for productivity and mental health. I am currently open for the summer bookings from June to September I will be operating mainly in the south west as I will be based in Andover in Hampshire though could travel further for a long stay. i am currently a student studying animal behavior at university, this means my schedule is quite open, having a full day of lectures on a Tuesday and 2-3 hours on Monday and Thursday. I can essentially learn online and do all of my work from a kitchen table which is perfect for looking after pets. I'm afraid I cannot offer boarding as I live in student accommodation and I wouldn't like to put any dog in a potentially stressful environment! When I'm sitting at the house I will never leave the house for longer than your animal is happy with which we can talk about, as I don't have many other responsibilities I will not have any unexpected reasons to leave. I often spend my days at a kitchen table on a sofa with a dog bed next to me, this way you'll pet can feel that they can come as close or stay as far away as they like! I love a good cuddle but will respect personal space if they prefer. Often first morning/day I try to keep myself "small" so that your animal can investigate me in their home properly this often looks as if I'm ignoring your pet as I want them to feel at ease to investigate me as much as they want and get comfortable with me without me forcing myself into their space. I never, ever mingle any animals be them dogs, cats or hamsters(!) that have not previously met for safety reasons.

About: I have my own dogs (Patterdale terriers & jack russel). I have grown up in the farming industry, so I spent my childhood riding horses, running through the fields and playing with the dogs. My dogs are the first thing I look at in the morning and the last thing I I say goodnight to. If I didn’t have dogs, my life would be silent, they create more fun. Im currently studying at uni, i can be flexible for drop in home visits in between of lectures or long breaks. The latest I finish on a Monday and Friday is 6. I do have early morning rugby training(this would only cause inconvenience with overnight stays) as I would have to leave early. Weekends are completely free. Tuesday is free all day with one online lecture in the evening, and Thursday is also free all day with one evening lecture. Wednesday is normally game day,(this can change weekly). Dog walking- I can walk (custom to dog)x a day. I would keep the dog on the lead unless said otherwise by owners, likewise with interacting with other dogs. Drop ins- I can let the dog in the garden, and play for length of time I have free, and top up water and food bowl. Overnight stays- ensure they have been let out before bed, have a little play, and food is eaten.

About: I've grown up with dogs my whole life with grandparents and uncles owning them. I've had experience with a range of dogs from Yorkshire terriers, to staffies and rottweilers. On numerous occasions I have helped walk them and not afraid of larger dogs. I currently only work weekends so I am free a good chunk of weekdays. I do have university starting up again soon but that is a few days a week for longest 3 hours so I still have lots of free time in the day and evening. At university I am studying Wildlife Conservation so I am very passionate about animals and their wellbeing I have a cat and a tortoise as my own pet as of now. I raised my cat throughout covid so he is my baby and I would do anything to look after him. My tortoise also requires a lot of attention and care so I'm used to putting in hardwork to ensure the comfort of my pets. I also have experience working with a variety of animals as I work on a farm and have also done livestock and lambing volunteering.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was young and have a 15 year old border collie & 18 month Huntaway, I have experience with some training of my own and am happy to assist during my visit and have experience with senior dogs & puppies needing patience and some additional care. About: My whole life I have always loved animals, I have one dog, two cats and one rabbit. In my spare time i volunteer at my horse riding stables for the RDA which I have done for over a year now. I have just completed my first year of university at Hartpury which I am studying animal behaviour and welfare, my university also has a large variety of animals which I volunteer to help care for on the weekends. As my pets have unfortunately had a variety of illnesses and injury’s I am confident in giving any medication necessary for any animals, both of my rabbits require medication for their arthritis everyday, one of which strongly dislikes it so I am used to safely handling more sensitive animals. I do a lot of dog walking in my university term breaks for dogs with a variety of needs such as, young active dogs who require a lot of play, or dogs that need more space from others or have certain triggers I help avoid. I am a university student on summer break as doing this as my full time work so will have lots of free time to provide the best possible care for your pets! I do multiple dog walks daily as well as caring for my elderly rabbit and two cats. In my own home I have four pets, a golden retriever, two cats and one rabbit. They all love each other and are happy to share my garden together. Inside my house all my pets know they are welcome in any room in my house but are all toilet trained. They all have their separate private spaces if they need time alone which the other animals will not interrupt.

I’ve owned both a Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix and a Miniature Pinscher mix, so I understand that every dog is unique, whether they’re a gentle giant, a little bundle of personality, or somewhere in between. I also worked in an animal shelter, where I cared for animals of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. My role included walking, feeding and transporting animals, caring for dogs recovering from surgery, helping new arrivals settle in and providing day-to-day care. Some dogs were full of confidence, while others were nervous, reactive or very high-energy and needed more patience, space and understanding. That experience taught me how important it is to adapt to each animal rather than expecting every dog to behave in the same way. I’m comfortable caring for reactive and high-energy dogs and understand that certain situations — such as meeting other dogs, runners, cyclists or being somewhere busy — can be challenging for them.
