“Absolutely fantastic, Georgina’s communication was brilliant and sent plenty of pics of Gus which really put us at ease. Gus looked relaxed and happy in every photo, and for a dog with anxiety was wonderful to see. When we picked Gus up he was one happy boy. We would definitely use Georgina again.”

“With it being Ambers first time away from us she she joined our family, we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful, warm, friendly and playful environment for her to stay. Beth, Dan and Darcy really did make it a home away from home for her. So much so she didn’t want to leave lol! Beth and Dan are so lovely and even met with us before booking to make sure it was a right match for us all. During our time away Beth kept us up to date with messages and pictures of Ambers stay 🥰 It was so reassuring in knowing our not so little pup was in great hands and paws while we were away 🥰”

“Mark was lovely! I left my 4 year old shih tzu with him last minute for five days. Mark gave me summaries of each day and sent pictures so I didn’t have to worry about anything!! Will definitely be leaving my little Pamuk with him again. Such a lovely couple and I would a hundred percent recommend!”

“Sarah was amazing with our dog . So comforting knowing that he would be well looked after, with long walks, playtime and cuddles. Sarah kept me updated with photos which was brilliant . He came back very happy ! Would not hesitate to leave him Again with Sarah”

About: I’ve cared for animals for as long as I can remember, growing up around both dogs and cats and regularly helping friends, neighbours and family with their pets from a young age. Looking after animals has always come naturally to me, and my love for them was especially inspired by my own dog, Toby. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine and needs, and I always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable and loved while in my care. Whether it’s energetic walks, puppy visits, companionship, feeding routines or quiet cuddle time, I genuinely treat every pet like family. I’m DBS checked, fully insured and Level 2 Canine First Aid trained, so owners can feel confident that their pets are in safe and caring hands. I also provide regular photo and video updates for extra peace of mind. 🐾 I currently support my partner in running his business, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time throughout the week to provide attentive, loving care for your pets. I’m available for boarding at weekends and on weekdays after 4pm, and I’m also available for walks, drop-ins, companionship visits and overnight care depending on your needs. I love spending quality time with animals, whether that’s adventures and playtime outdoors, calm companionship, cuddles on the sofa or helping nervous pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. Your pet’s safety, happiness and comfort will always be my top priority, whether caring for them in my home or in the comfort of their own familiar environment. I understand that many pets feel most relaxed in their own home and routine, so I always aim to provide calm, loving and attentive care that keeps them feeling safe, settled and happy while you’re away. I’m well versed with local walking spots, parks and safe enriching areas for dogs to explore, including a beautiful arboretum right on my doorstep, helping make every walk both stimulating and enjoyable depending on your dog’s individual needs and energy levels. I am DBS checked, fully insured and Level 2 Canine First Aid trained, so owners can feel completely reassured their pets are in safe and capable hands. I’m also happy to provide regular photo and video updates throughout visits for extra peace of mind.

We received regular updates and pictures from Rachel and Bruce seemed really happy when we picked him up. Would definitely use Rachel again.”

“Kell had our two dogs for a month and I have never picked up two more happy dogs! He and his wonderful family looked after them like they were their own, even taking them to the beach and long daily walks, they were part of the family. I couldn’t recommend Kell more to anyone and I’m so happy I have found someone who is so brilliant with two completely different dogs both with different needs and helped Gus settle in so well with separation anxiety and I’m so looking forward to seeing Kell again!”

“Dixie has clearly made a good bond with Ella during her stay. Ella arranged an initial meeting to check that the dogs would get on with each other, and also to discuss Dixie's medical needs. I felt very reassured by Ella's experience and understanding of dogs. Ella was quick to respond to my messages, and provided daily update and photos during Dixie's stay. Dixie is booked in with Ella again in a few weeks time, and I am sure that Dixie will pull me to their front door!”

“Thank you Kay and your lovely family including Monty, for making Ebi's stay so much fun! The regular photos, videos and updates put my mind at ease. I'm sure Ebi will be more than happy to stay again!”

“Annie did a great job looking after our Maine Coon. She was also kind enough to meet him before we went on our trip and Kermit instantly took a liking to her, which like almost any cat, is not common for him. Report cards were thorough and always had more than one picture attached.”

“Couldn't be happier with Jayme. Throughout the booking process she has been friendly and responsive and very patient with us while we arranged a date for her to come meet the cats. We have come home after a week away to two very happy and settled cats which is a big change from any time spent at a cattery. Initially we were nervous about leaving the cats as we wouldn't be home but we would not hesitate to book again.”

“Sarah looked after my cats with lots of care and attention. Although one of them was sick whilst she was looking after them, she dealt with it and let me know straight away so I wasn’t worried at all. Really fantastic and I would recommend to anyone!”

“Christine was brilliant at looking after our cats over Christmas. She was very prompt with her timings and went above & beyond to make sure our cats were well looked after. When we got home, the cats were both very happy. Thank you, Christine :) We will definitely be calling on Christine again if we need a sitter for the cats!”

“We booked Steph to look after our boys again and as always, we had no worries that they would be in the best hands. Absolutely loved the beautiful photos and hilarious updates on their antics. We came back to two very happy campers. I think it is safe to say that DeeDee and Dexter are two of Steph's regulars now! Thank you again Steph, we look forward to rebooking with you soon.”

“Fay did a great job looking after Mokosz during her drop-in visits. She kept me updated, sent photos and a detailed report from both visits, which was really reassuring. Mokosz was calm and happy when I got back home, and it was clear she had been well looked after. Fay followed all instructions perfectly and even made thoughtful decisions where needed. I’d definitely be happy to book with her again. Highly recommended!”

“First pet sitter on rover, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Amy is very competent and thoughtful when it comes to pets, so I had no worries when we left for a week. She communicates very well after each drop in. I would definitely hire her again as my pet sitter and recommend her to others.”

“Elizabeth was so fantastic checking in on my lil kitty while I was away for the weekend. She is super friendly and caring, making sure she knew all of his favourite toys and foods etc. kept me upto date with pictures which is always appreciated, thank you so much ✨❤️”

About: I have been around cats all of my life, and continue to have a super soft spot for them. My partner's cat Frankie is a big ball of fluff, and loves a belly rub! One of our childhood (three-legged) cats, Chester, was one of a kind, and despite his disability, still managed to bring home the occasional rabbit as a treat for us all! My parents have recently lost their two elderly cats, and they leave such a hole in the family, so I know just how much they mean.

“Maisie is reliable and friendly, we were able to go out for the whole day knowing that our dog Lenny was in safe hands. She popped in twice to check on Lenny; fed and walked him. and gave him lots of attention.”

“Highly recommend. Sue looked after our cat over Christmas and can’t thank her enough. She obviously loves animals of all kinds and gave Loki lots of cuddles while we were away. Great communication, daily pictures and updates which puts your mind at ease when you’re away!”

“This was for the first time I use Rover and chose Artur based on his reviews and never regret the decision I've made. Artur explained the all process, replied very promptly and received updates about my Harvey daily. I do highly recommend him, and I know I can count on him when I need. Thank you!”

“We cannot say enough good things about Ella! We had a meet and greet where we took the time to understand our routine, home, training and feeding schedules. We have just had our first booked session and could not be happier. Our puppy has separation anxiety, is on an awkward diet and I’m super fussy about who looks after her! So we’re not an easy booking. But within 2 minutes our puppy was calmly and happily playing and training with Ella. She immediately responded well to Ella’s extremely calm and patient nature and was totally content with her. This is a big deal as she’s a lockdown puppy and can be hesitant with new people. We’re looking forward to booking Ella again and feel so lucky to have found someone so kind to look after our puppy.”

“Lily came round to take care of our two cats whilst we were away. Lily has been brilliant - quick to respond to any query I had (first time Rover user!), has kept me updated the whole time with feedback and photos. I wouldn’t hesitate to ask Lily to look after our cats again in the future! ☺️”

“Luna loves going to Leah's, I always know she's happy and well cared for and getting lots of enrichment. She loves having a run and play with the other dogs and cuddling up with Leah and James. They have done an amazing job at making her comfortable in a new place”

“Izabela was brilliant. She is super friendly, helpful and my dogs had a fantastic time. She responded quickly to my last minute request and immediately put me at ease when we met. My dogs had a lovely time and slept all the way home. I would 100% recommend Izabella and hope to meet her again.”

About: I’ve been helping friends and family look after their pets for years, and it’s always been something I’ve loved doing. Over time, I realised it was something I wanted to do more often — not just for those I know, but for anyone who needs a caring, reliable place for their dog to stay. I try to make our space feel as relaxed and welcoming as possible — a true home away from home. There are cosy beds dotted around the house, and every dog is free to sleep wherever they feel most comfortable, or we can follow your usual routine if you have one. We enjoy daily walks, plenty of playtime, mental stimulation with puzzles, and of course, lots of cuddles. From time to time, we book enclosed fields so your pup can safely run and explore off-lead. Whether it’s a short stay or a longer visit, your dog will be cared for just like one of our own — with love, attention, and a wagging tail guaranteed. I currently work with dogs all through the week with walking, training support, doggy day care and sitting so this is what i do. Depending on the needs of your fur baby depends on how I work my week to be either around them or fully inclusive of them. They are more then welcome to join in on group walks, have fun and socialise with others or to be walked solo and have one on one time with me. Animals dont have a one size fits all, I want to make them feel as comfortable as possible so can tailor things to suit. Your loved one fits into our home in what ever way fits their personality. What ever makes them feel most comfortable and helps you to relax whilst away.
“Sam and Georgia always take such good care of Coco. He loves going to spend the day with them and it makes me feel a lot happier about having to go to the office for the day, knowing he's looked after and so happy!”

About: Hi, my name is Alix. I am 23 years old and live in a ground floor flat in matson, Gloucester. I have 2 children, 2&5 years old. I also have 4 cats who have been the first encounter for many dogs which I am happy to do with the owner here if your dog hasn’t been around cats before. I also understand that sometimes dogs and cats aren’t the best of friends so I’m happy to keep them separate if needed. I unfortunately don’t currently drive so you would need to bring your pooch to me. Caring for dogs is a passion for me. I took a break from dog boarding for a while but now on the hunt to make more doggy friends and help out owners! I have been dog boarding for 3 years now and cared for dogs of all ages. My children are used to dogs & my partner has 2 Staffordshire bull terriers at his mum’s who my children see regularly. I also have a jack russel and a jug at my mum’s who I absolutely adore and grew up with. I have my own fenced garden and will definitely take your pooch on walks at our local field! Please get in touch if you’re interested. :).. I’m currently unemployed so always at home. Monday & friday I do school pick up and drop off, however if your dog isn’t very good with being alone I can bring them along or I can find someone else to take my daughter to school on the odd occasion if need be of the 2 days I usually do and I will stay home to ensure your dog isn’t left alone. As long as i have notice i can ensure we’re home all day if need be for your dogs anxiety I am in a ground floor flat, I have my own fenced garden and a field nearby which dogs absolutely love to go and have a run around. I keep dogs on lead for safety. Dogs will be welcome to come on the furniture and sleep in the bed unless the owner requests otherwise.
About: I have many years of experience with dogs, we had dogs in our family since I was a child. My brother was a police dog handler for many years which helped me learn how to train dogs. So if you are struggling with your puppy I can help with that. I mostly work from home as I am self employed. My availability is very flexible and I can usually be available at short notice too I have a house with an enclosed garden and a minutes walk from a large park. I also have a small well behaved older jack Russel and can accommodate a crate if required
About: I have a deep love for animals of all shapes and sizes. Having grown up with cats, dogs and other pets such as my sake named Sydney, it taught me how to handle the unique personalities and needs of each pet. I’ve also volunteered at a local rescue centre where I gain valuable skills in managing anxious and vulnerable dogs. I believe in providing your pets with the same care, love and patience that I give my own. My partner and I are homeowner locally but we have no pets here and we miss not having a pet like we both grew up with. My partner works from home on a flexible schedule to help and support pets and their owners and I look forward to getting time around some fury friends. I have a safe and secure flat with a small outside space that I could care for your pet in. Within your own home I would ensure I play by your rules and your pets to ensure a safe secure environment. I have walked rescue dogs before mostly on leads and I would ensure your pets are well secured before opening doors. When out I’d be cautious of animals and people to ensure your pet safety and their pets. I would be led by your routine and rules and support your pet through any requirements they have.

About: What sets me apart as a dog sitter is that I’ve truly lived a life surrounded by dogs — all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. From playful puppies to gentle seniors, I’ve cared for them all, and each one has taught me something new about patience, communication, and unconditional love. I understand that every dog is unique — some need extra time to warm up, some need to burn off tons of energy, and others just want a calm lap and some quiet company. I’m confident handling everything from crate training and leash manners to giving meds or helping older dogs with mobility issues. Because I’ve had dogs my whole life, this kind of care is second nature to me. Beyond the basics, I focus on building trust with each dog so they feel safe, secure, and loved while you’re away. It’s not just about keeping them fed — it’s about making sure they’re happy and emotionally cared for too. Pet care is a big part of my everyday life — it’s not just something I do, it’s part of who I am! I work weekdays from 9 to 4, so I plan my pet care around that schedule. Mornings and evenings are dedicated to walks, feeding, playtime, and cuddles, and I’m available for pet sitting visits before or after work, as well as on weekends. Since I already care for my own dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, and fish, animal care is part of my daily rhythm — it’s second nature. I’m used to juggling different needs and routines, and I love spending that time connecting with animals and making sure they’re happy, healthy, and comfortable In my own home, pet care is woven into my daily routine — from feeding and cleaning to walks, playtime, and lots of love. With dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, and fish under one roof (or in the yard!), I’m experienced in managing different needs and personalities. I make sure every animal gets the right balance of structure, attention, and comfort. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I take the time to learn their likes, quirks, and schedules — whether that’s giving a shy cat space, keeping a playful pup entertained, or making sure medications are given on time. I treat every home with respect and every pet like they’re part of my own animal family.
“Sarah is absolutely fantastic, Ruby got slightly hurt and she was wonderful, called me to explain everything, sent me pictures of the issue, try to find solutions and took her to the vet while we were away making sure she was cared for and ok Ruby is thankfully absolutely fine now, and we are forever grateful for Sarah's help making sure Ruby was ok, knowing we can trust her with our girl is invaluable 💜💜”

About: I have been around animals all of my life, from dogs and cats, to bearded dragons, mice, gerbils, budgies and fish! There's nothing more I love than getting out in the fresh air with the pup and going off to explore. My dog Hollie is a Romanian rescue, who we've had since she was 6 months old (she's now 6). She is full of beans, absolutely adores her older bro's, and likes nothing more than to snuggle up on the sofa after a stroll down the canal path. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. I currently work from home (but have flexible hours), so have total flexibility over visits, walks and playtime with your furry pals! At present I have up to 4 hours per day to cater for this, but will have additional availability over the summer months. I'm also available over most of the weekend. I have a large enclosed garden at home, but am lucky to be close to lots of open fields (and several secure fields, if required). Whether a walk, or a home visit, your pets safety and wellbeing will always my main priority.
About: I have my own dogs (Patterdale terriers & jack russel). I have grown up in the farming industry, so I spent my childhood riding horses, running through the fields and playing with the dogs. My dogs are the first thing I look at in the morning and the last thing I I say goodnight to. If I didn’t have dogs, my life would be silent, they create more fun. Im currently studying at uni, i can be flexible for drop in home visits in between of lectures or long breaks. The latest I finish on a Monday and Friday is 6. I do have early morning rugby training(this would only cause inconvenience with overnight stays) as I would have to leave early. Weekends are completely free. Tuesday is free all day with one online lecture in the evening, and Thursday is also free all day with one evening lecture. Wednesday is normally game day,(this can change weekly). Dog walking- I can walk (custom to dog)x a day. I would keep the dog on the lead unless said otherwise by owners, likewise with interacting with other dogs. Drop ins- I can let the dog in the garden, and play for length of time I have free, and top up water and food bowl. Overnight stays- ensure they have been let out before bed, have a little play, and food is eaten.

“David was professional and efficient as well as being very friendly. Lola liked him very much and so did I. I have used him twice now and he was punctual on both occasions. Sat in my house with Lola for a day and left everything clean and tidy as he found it. I will have no hesitation in using him again.”

About: I earned money in my local neighbourhood through caring for dogs from regular drops in to holiday cover/house sitting. We have always had a family dog who I have loved caring for. This has taken us from young puppies to elderly dogs. I am currently working to self finance my uni degree in sports science. I am fairly flexible with scheduling so should be able to work around you I like to meet the owners and pet to understand what the owner wants and to make the dog feel comfortable and know what he or she likes or dislikes.

“Amber was amazing. She brought water with her on the dog walks and even took the dogs out earlier during the UK heatwave while we were away on holiday, to make sure they stayed safe and comfortable. We would definitely book Amber again.”

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life—especially dogs and cats—and have been caring for them on and off since childhood. As a Rover user myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet, and I aim to provide that same peace of mind to every owner I work with. I’ve cared for a range of breeds including German Shepherds, Staffies, and Labradors, and I’m comfortable handling different temperaments, sizes, and energy levels. Whether your pet needs playtime, walks, or just some extra love and attention, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Currently, I'm working shifts. So plenty of availability to help you and your pets when needed. I am very close to Gloucester City centre. I prefer to care for pets in their own home environment, as it’s usually more familiar and comfortable for them, helping to reduce stress while you’re away. I’m happy to travel and keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible.
About: I've been a pet lover since I was a child. In my family home, we always had some pets, unfortunately, now I live in a rented property where I'm not allowed to have any pets. This is the main reason why I'm looking after pets other people. Extra money is just an added benefit. For many years I'm the person who been asked by my friends like a first to stay at their homes and look after their pets or dogs walking. Usually, I'm catching quickly good contact with pets. I love traveling and hiking. Own a car and don't mind taking a dog to my car and driving to nice surroundings for a walk. Pictures and short movies from pets look after are available after request. Speaking languages: english, polish I'm working full time on shift pattern with many days off. If your needs fit my time off I can spend a lot of time with your pets. I'm clean and tidy person. I always leave the place as I found it. I stick to all instructions witch you left me about look after your pets.

“I was going to be away for the day so booked Layla to keep my dog company in the afternoon. Layla popped over a couple of days before to meet me and my dog and I ran through a few things. Layla was punctual and professional. I would strongly recommend her.”

“Daniela was so lovely and warm, Luka was immediately at ease in her home and I was very happy leaving him in her care. She sent me updates and photos and Luka looked super relaxed and happy in them! He came home very reluctantly after clearly having a great time. Would not hesitate to recommend her :)”

“I highly rate Alix for looking after your little pet. Alix made me feel so comfortable straight away and the communication was the best. The rates you pay are so decent compared to everyone else. Alix also helped me out last minute I had been let down and It was sorted in 5 mins with Alix. Thank you so much again!!! We will be back 🩷”

“We left Bruce, our English Pointer, with Rachel for a week whilst we went on holiday. Her communication was great, both before the trip and during Bruce’s stay.

“Very positive experience for me and dog! First time using the site and super impressed with Izabela’s communication and happiness of our puppy when collected from her. Thanks Izabela.”

“Morris has had two overnight stays with Anna recently. He is a little dog full of character and funny habits and Anna looked after him beautifully. He was very happy to see her so we know he enjoyed his stay which made us relax in the knowledge he was being taken good care of. We would highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for a dog sitter in the area.”

“Lydia and her partner were absolutely brilliant with my dog Nala. She’s a very nervous and anxious dog around strangers but they made her feel at home straight away which put me at ease as I was nervous about leaving her. Will 100% use again!”

“Louise took great care of our puppy Seymour while we were away over the weekend. She sent us amazing video updates of his adventures. He got to play with other dogs and even swim in a stream. We will definitely book her again.”

“Michael and his lovely wife were wonderful, to the point my dog, Mabel, didn't want to leave! She was very at home with their lovely dog also, in fact they were quite similar and got on really well, so that was an extra bonus. Nothing was too much trouble and I got regular photo updates. I felt very relaxed knowing Mabel was being very well cared for while we were on holiday. It was definitely a home away from home environment, which is exactly what I was after. I would absolutely recommend!”
